撒母耳记下 7
1 王住在自己宫中，耶和华使他安靖，不被四围的仇敌扰乱。
And it came to pass, when the king dwelt in his house, and Jehovah had given him rest from all his enemies round about,
2 那时，王对先知拿单说：“看哪，我住在香柏木的宫中， 神的约柜反在幔子里。”
that the king said to Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of God dwells within curtains.
3 拿单对王说：“你可以照你的心意而行，因为耶和华与你同在。”
And Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that is in thy heart, for Jehovah is with thee.
4 当夜，耶和华的话临到拿单说：
And it came to pass the same night, that the word of Jehovah came to Nathan, saying,
5 “你去告诉我仆人大卫，说耶和华如此说：‘你岂可建造殿宇给我居住呢？
Go and tell my servant David, Thus says Jehovah, Shall thou build a house for me to dwell in?
6 自从我领以色列人出埃及直到今日，我未曾住过殿宇，常在会幕和帐幕中行走。
For I have not dwelt in a house since the day that I brought up the sons of Israel out of Egypt, even to this day, but have walked in a tent and in a tabernacle.
7 凡我同以色列人所走的地方，我何曾向以色列一支派的士师，就是我吩咐牧养我民以色列的说：你们为何不给我建造香柏木的殿宇呢？’
In all places in which I have walked with all the sons of Israel, did I speak a word with any of the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to be shepherd of my people Israel, saying, Why have ye not built for me a house of cedar?
8 “现在，你要告诉我仆人大卫，说万军之耶和华如此说：‘我从羊圈中将你召来，叫你不再跟从羊群，立你作我民以色列的君。
Now therefore thus thou shall say to my servant David, Thus says Jehovah of hosts, I took thee from the sheepfold, from following the sheep, that thou should be prince over my people, over Israel.
9 你无论往哪里去，我常与你同在，剪除你的一切仇敌。我必使你得大名，好像世上大大有名的人一样。
And I have been with thee wherever thou went, and have cut off all thine enemies from before thee. And I will make thee a great name, like the name of the great ones that are on the earth.
10 我必为我民以色列选定一个地方，栽培他们，使他们住自己的地方，不再迁移；凶恶之子也不像从前扰害他们，
And I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in their own place, and be moved no more. Neither shall the sons of iniquity afflict them any more, as at the first,
11 并不像我命士师治理我民以色列的时候一样。我必使你安靖，不被一切仇敌扰乱，并且我—耶和华应许你，必为你建立家室。
and as from the day that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel, and I will cause thee to rest from all thine enemies. Moreover Jehovah tells thee that Jehovah will make thee a house.
12 你寿数满足、与你列祖同睡的时候，我必使你的后裔接续你的位；我也必坚定他的国。
When thy days are fulfilled, and thou shall sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, who shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.
13 他必为我的名建造殿宇；我必坚定他的国位，直到永远。
He shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.
14 我要作他的父，他要作我的子；他若犯了罪，我必用人的杖责打他，用人的鞭责罚他。
I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commits iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the sons of men,
15 但我的慈爱仍不离开他，像离开在你面前所废弃的扫罗一样。
but my loving kindness shall not depart from him, as I took it from Saul whom I put away before thee.
16 你的家和你的国必在我面前永远坚立。你的国位也必坚定，直到永远。’”
And thy house and thy kingdom shall be made sure forever before thee; thy throne shall be established forever.
17 拿单就按这一切话，照这默示，告诉大卫。
According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so Nathan spoke to David.
18 于是大卫王进去，坐在耶和华面前，说：“主耶和华啊，我是谁？我的家算什么？你竟使我到这地步呢？
Then David the king went in, and sat before Jehovah. And he said, Who am I, O lord Jehovah, and what is my house, that thou have brought me thus far?
19 主耶和华啊，这在你眼中还看为小，又应许你仆人的家至于久远。主耶和华啊，这岂是人所常遇的事吗？
And this was yet a small thing in thine eyes, O lord Jehovah, but thou have spoken also of thy servant's house for a great while to come, and this too according to the manner of men, O lord Jehovah!
20 主耶和华啊，我还有何言可以对你说呢？因为你知道你的仆人。
And what can David say more to thee? For thou know thy servant, O lord Jehovah.
21 你行这大事使仆人知道，是因你所应许的话，也是照你的心意。
For thy word's sake, and according to thine own heart, thou have wrought all this greatness, to make thy servant know it.
22 主耶和华啊，你本为大，照我们耳中听见，没有可比你的；除你以外再无 神。
Therefore thou are great, O Jehovah God, for there is none like thee, neither is there any God besides thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
23 世上有何民能比你的民以色列呢？你从埃及救赎他们作自己的子民，又在你赎出来的民面前行大而可畏的事，驱逐列邦人和他们的神，显出你的大名。
And what one nation on the earth is like thy people, even like Israel, whom God went to redeem to himself for a people, and to make him a name, and to do great things for you, and awesome things for thy land, before thy people whom thou redeemed to thee out of Egypt, from the nations and their gods?
24 你曾坚立你的民以色列作你的子民，直到永远；你—耶和华也作了他们的 神。
And thou established to thyself thy people Israel to be a people to thee forever, and thou, Jehovah, became their God.
25 “耶和华 神啊，你所应许仆人和仆人家的话，求你坚定，直到永远；照你所说的而行。
And now, O Jehovah God, the word that thou have spoken concerning thy servant, and concerning his house, confirm it forever, and do as thou have spoken.
26 愿人永远尊你的名为大，说：‘万军之耶和华是治理以色列的 神。’这样，你仆人大卫的家必在你面前坚立。
And let thy name be magnified forever, saying, Jehovah of hosts is God over Israel, and the house of thy servant David shall be established before thee.
27 万军之耶和华—以色列的 神啊，因你启示你的仆人说：‘我必为你建立家室’，所以仆人大胆向你如此祈祷。
For thou, O Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, have revealed to thy servant, saying, I will build thee a house. Therefore thy servant has found in his heart to pray this prayer to thee.
28 “主耶和华啊，惟有你是 神。你的话是真实的；你也应许将这福气赐给仆人。
And now, O lord Jehovah, thou are God, and thy words are truth, and thou have promised this good thing to thy servant.
29 现在求你赐福与仆人的家，可以永存在你面前。主耶和华啊，这是你所应许的。愿你永远赐福与仆人的家！”
Now therefore let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue forever before thee, for thou, O lord Jehovah, have spoken it. And with thy blessing let the house of thy servant be blessed forever.
