1 此后，大卫攻打非利士人，把他们治服，从他们手下夺取了迦特和属迦特的村庄；
And it canto to pass, after this, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them, —and took Gath and her villages, out of the hand of the Philistines.
2 又攻打摩押，摩押人就归服大卫，给他进贡。
And he smote Moab, —and the Moabites became servants to David, bearers of a present.
3 琐巴王哈大利谢往 幼发拉底河去，要坚定自己的国权，大卫就攻打他，直到哈马，
And David smote Hadarezer king of Zobah, towards Hamath, —as he went to establish his hold of the river Euphrates.
4 夺了他的战车一千，马兵七千，步兵二万，将拉战车的马砍断蹄筋，但留下一百辆车的马。
And David captured from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen, —and David destroyed all the chariots, saving that he reserved from them a hundred chariots.
5 大马士革的亚兰人来帮助琐巴王哈大利谢，大卫就杀了亚兰人二万二千。
And, when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadarezer king of Zobah, David smote of the Syrians, twenty-two thousand men.
6 于是大卫在大马士革的亚兰地设立防营，亚兰人就归服他，给他进贡。大卫无论往哪里去，耶和华都使他得胜。
And David put [garrisons] in Syria of Damascus, and so it was that the Syrians became, David’s, servants, bearers of a present, —so Yahweh gave victory to David, whithersoever he went.
7 他夺了哈大利谢臣仆所拿的金盾牌带到耶路撒冷。
And David took the shields of gold, that were upon the servants of Hadarezer, —and brought them to Jerusalem;
8 大卫又从属哈大利谢的提巴和均二城中夺取了许多的铜。后来所罗门用此制造铜海、铜柱，和一切的铜器。
also, from Tibhath and from Cun, cities of Hadarezer, David took very much bronze, —therewith, did Solomon make the sea of bronze, and the pillars, and the vessels of bronze.
9 哈马王陀乌听见大卫杀败琐巴王哈大利谢的全军，
And, when Tou, king of Hamath, heard that David had smitten all the force of Hadarezer king of Zobah,
10 就打发他儿子哈多兰去见大卫王，问他的安，为他祝福，因为他杀败了哈大利谢（原来陀乌与哈大利谢常常争战）。哈多兰带了金银铜的各样器皿来。
he sent Hadoram his son unto King David, to ask after his welfare, and to bless him, because he had made war against Hadarezer and had smitten him, for, a man making wars against Tou, had been Hadarezer, —and [he had with him] all manner of vessels of gold and silver and bronze;
11 大卫王将这些器皿，并从各国夺来的金银，就是从以东、摩押、亚扪、非利士、亚玛力人所夺来的，都分别为圣献给耶和华。
them also, did King David hallow unto Yahweh, with the silver and the gold, that he bare away from all the nations, —from Edom, and from Moab, and from the sons of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.
12 洗鲁雅的儿子亚比筛在盐谷击杀了以东一万八千人。
Moreover, Abishai, son of Zeruiah, smote Edom, in the Valley of Salt, —eighteen thousand;
13 大卫在以东地设立防营，以东人就都归服他。大卫无论往哪里去，耶和华都使他得胜。
and set, in Edom, garrisons, and all Edom became servants unto David, —and Yahweh gave David the victory, whithersoever he went.
14 大卫作以色列众人的王，又向众民秉公行义。
So David reigned over all Israel, —and he was executing justice and righteousness for all his people;
15 洗鲁雅的儿子约押作元帅；亚希律的儿子约沙法作史官；
and, Joab, son of Zeruiah, was over the army, —and, Jehoshaphat, son of Elihud, was recorder;
16 亚希突的儿子撒督和亚比亚他的儿子亚希米勒作祭司长；沙威沙作书记；
and, Zadok, son of Ahitub, and Abimelech son of Abiathar, were priests, —and, Shavsha, was scribe;
17 耶何耶大的儿子比拿雅统辖基利提人和比利提人。大卫的众子都在王的左右作领袖。
and, Benaiah, son of Jehoiada, was over the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, —and, the sons of David, were first, in attendance on the king.
