詩篇 83

1 詠【求消滅聯盟的異民】阿撒夫的詩歌。 上主，求您不要一言不發，天主，您們不要靜默無話！

Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.

2 因為您的仇敵騷擾狂吼，惱恨您的人都搖頭昂首；

For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.

3 相聚密謀，陷害您的百姓，商議攻擊您保護的人民，

They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.

4 說：大家來，由萬民將要他們驅散，使以色列的名不再被記念。

They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

5 於是，他們心齊謀同，締結盟約，向您進攻，

For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:

6 即厄東部落及依市瑪耳，又有摩阿布以及哈革爾。

The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;

7 還有革巴耳、阿孟和阿瑪肋克人，且有培肋舍特人和提洛的居民，

Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;

8 亞述人也與他們串通，作了羅特子民的幫兇。

Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. (Selah)

9 求你對待他們像對待米德楊人，像在克雄河對待息色辣和雅賓，

Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison:

10 他們都喪亡於恩多爾，全變成了田裏的糞泥，

Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth.

11 使他們的王侯要與敖勒布和東一樣，使他們的將領與巴黑和匝耳慕一樣，

Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:

12 因為他們都曾如此說過：我們去佔領天主的住所。

Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.

13 我的天主，求您使他們像旋風捲起的落葉，求您使他們像狂風吹起的碎楷，

O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.

14 好像被火燐焚燒的樹林，又似被火燄燃燒的山陵；

As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;

15 求您也這樣以您的颶風驅散他們，以您的暴雨驚嚇他們。

So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.

16 上主，求您羞辱他們的面容，是為叫他們尋求您的聖名；

Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O Yhwh.

17 使他們永遠受辱恐慌，叫他們個個蒙羞喪亡。

Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:

18 從此，認識您的名號是雅威，惟有您在普天下至尊無對。

That men may know that thou, whose name alone is Yhwh, art the most high over all the earth.
