詩篇 8

1 【人的尊威】 達味詩歌，交與槳官。調寄「加特」。 上主，我們的主！你的名號在普世何其美妼！你的尊榮在天上彰顯光耀。

O Yhwh our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.

2 由赤子乳兒的口中，你取得完美的讚頌；為使恨你的人受辱，為使仇敵有口無用。

Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

3 當我仰望你手指創造的穹蒼，和你在天上布置的星辰月亮，

When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

4 世人算什麼，你竟對他懷念不忘？人子算什麼，你竟對他眷顧周詳？

What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

5 竟使他稍微遜於天神，以尊貴光榮作他冠冕，

For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

6 令他統治你手的造化，將一切放在他的腳下：

Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

7 所有的羊和牛，與野外的走獸，

All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;

8 天空的飛鳥和海裏的魚類，及種種游泳於海道的水族。

The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

9 上主，我們的主！你的名號在普世何其美妙！

O Yhwh our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!
