詩篇 39
1 達味詩歌，交與樂官耶杜通。 我已決定：我要謹遵我的道路，免得我以口舌犯罪，當惡人在我面前時，我以口罩籠住我嘴。
To the chief Musician, to Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a muzzle, while the wicked is before me.
2 我默不作聲，以免口出惡語，但我的痛楚更因此而加劇。
I was dumb with silence, I held my peace from good; and my sorrow was stirred.
3 我的心在腔滾滾沸騰，我愈沉思愈覺得烈火如焚；我的舌頭便不耐煩地說：
My heart burned within me; the fire was kindled in my musing: I spoke with my tongue,
4 上主，求你明白啟示我：我的終期和壽數究有幾何，好使我知道我是何等脆弱。
Make me to know, Jehovah, mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is: I shall know how frail I am.
5 你使我的歲月屈指可數，我的生命在你前算是虛無。世人的生存只是一口呵噓。
Behold, thou hast made my days [as] hand-breadths, and my lifetime is as nothing before thee; verily, every man, [even] the high placed, is altogether vanity. (Selah)
6 人生實如泡影，只是白白操勞，他們所有積蓄不知誰來得到。
Verily, man walketh in a vain show; verily they are disquieted in vain; he heapeth up [riches], and knoweth not who shall gather them.
7 我主，現今我還什麼希望？我的希望寄託在你的身上!
And now, what wait I for, Lord? my hope is in thee.
8 救你救我脫離我的種種罪愆，不要使我受愚人的恥笑侮慢。
Deliver me from all my transgressions; make me not the reproach of the foolish.
9 我靜默不言，有口不開，因為這事是由你安排。
I was dumb, I opened not my mouth; for thou hast done [it].
10 求你由我身上去這場災患，因你手的打擊，我已消瘦不堪。
Remove thy stroke away from me: I am consumed by the blow of thy hand.
11 你為了罰罪而把世人懲治，你像蛀蟲將他的珍寶侵蝕；至於人，不過只是一口氣。上主，求你俯聽我的祈禱，求你側耳靜聽我的哀告，莫要作聾不聽我的哭號。因為
When thou with rebukes dost correct a man for iniquity, thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth: surely, every man is vanity. (Selah)
12 我在你前只是旅客，如我列祖一樣只是路。
Hear my prayer, Jehovah, and give ear unto my cry; be not silent at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, a sojourner, like all my fathers.
13 求你轉移你的目光，不要怒視我，使我一去不返之前能得享安樂。
Look away from me, and let me recover strength, before I go hence and be no more.
