詩篇 140

1 上主，求您救拔我脫離兇惡的人； 上主，求您保護我脫離強暴的人！

To victorie, the salm of Dauith. Lord, delyuere thou me fro an yuel man; delyuere thou me fro a wickid man.

2 他們心中策劃惡謀，他們終日挑撥爭鬥；

Whiche thouyten wickidnesses in the herte; al dai thei ordeyneden batels.

3 他們磨快自己的舌尖，有如蛇蝮，他們的雙脣的下面，含有蛇毒。 （休止）

Thei scharpiden her tungis as serpentis; the venym of snakis vndir the lippis of hem.

4 上主，求您拯救我脫離兇惡的人；上主，求您保護我擺脫強暴的人，因他們企圖要我腳步滑倒。

Lord, kepe thou me fro the hond of the synnere; and delyuere thou me fro wickid men. Which thouyten to disseyue my goyngis;

5 驕傲人給我暗暗設網羅，張起繩索作為圈套，設下陷井等我路過。 （休止）

proude men hidden a snare to me. And thei leiden forth cordis in to a snare; thei settiden sclaundir to me bisidis the weie.

6 我求上主說：您是我的天主；上主，求您聽我哀禱的苦訴！

I seide to the Lord, Thou art mi God; Lord, here thou the vois of my biseching.

7 上主天主，您是我有力的救助，在作戰時，請您掩護我的頭顱。

Lord, Lord, the vertu of myn heelthe; thou madist schadowe on myn heed in the dai of batel.

8 上主，求您不要順隨惡人的奢欲；上主，請不要完成他們的計謀。 （休止）

Lord, bitake thou not me fro my desire to the synnere; thei thouyten ayens me, forsake thou not me, lest perauenture thei ben enhaunsid.

9 願那些顯露頭而圍困我的人，出於他們口脣的詛咒，反歸己身。

10 願火降落在他們的身上，將他們拋入深坑免再高昂。

11 搬弄是非的人，不得在世久存，災禍會突然使強暴的人被擒。

12 我確知上主必為受壓迫的人伸冤，也必為貧窮的人主持正義的判斷。

I haue knowe, that the Lord schal make dom of a nedi man; and the veniaunce of pore men.

13 義人必定將您的聖名頌讚，善人必定居住在您的面前。
