< 詩篇 115 >

1 上主，光榮不要歸於我們，不要歸於我們！只願那個光榮完全歸於您的聖名，那是為了您的慈愛，為了您的忠誠。
Not unto us, O LORD! not unto us, But unto thy name, give glory, For thy mercy and thy truth's sake!
2 為什麼讓外邦人常說：他們的天主在何處居住？
Why should the nations say, “Where is now their God?”
3 我們的天主在天上居住，他創造了所喜愛的萬物。
Our God is in the heavens; He doeth whatever he pleaseth.
4 外邦人的偶像無非金銀，不過是人手中的製造品：
Their idols are silver and gold, The work of men's hands:
5 偶像有口，而不能言，偶像有眼，而不能看，
They have mouths, but they speak not; Eyes have they, but they see not;
6 有耳，而不能聽，有鼻，而不能聞，
They have ears, but they hear not; Noses have they, but they smell not;
7 有手，而不能動，有腳，而不能行，有喉，而不發聲。
They have hands, but they handle not; They have feet, but they walk not; Nor do they speak with their throats.
8 鑄造偶像的人，將與偶像同亡；凡信賴偶像的人，也將是一樣。
They who make them are like unto them; And so is every one that trusteth in them.
9 以色列家族卻信賴上主，祂是他們的助佑和盾護；
O Israel! trust thou in the LORD! He is their help and their shield.
10 亞郎的家族也信賴上主，祂是他們的助佑和盾護；
O house of Aaron! trust ye in the LORD! He is their help and their shield.
11 敬愛上主的人信賴上主，祂是他們的助佑和盾護。
Ye that fear the LORD trust in the LORD! He is their help and their shield.
12 上主眷念我們，也必給我們祝福，祝福以色列家族，也祝福亞郎家族；
The LORD hath been mindful of us; he will bless us; He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron.
13 祂向敬愛上主的人祝福，不拘貴賤都要獲得祝福，
He will bless them that fear the LORD, both small and great.
14 願上主使您們的人口繁昌，使您們和您們的子女興旺！
The LORD will increase you more and more, You and your children.
15 願您們蒙受上主的祝福，祂是上天下地的造化主。
Blessed are ye of the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.
16 蒼天確實是上主的蒼天，上主給世人賞賜了塵寰。
The heaven is the LORD'S heaven; But the earth he hath given to the sons of men.
17 死人們不能夠讚美上主，降入陰府的人也不能夠，
The dead praise not the LORD, —No one who goeth down into silence.
18 而是我們讚頌上主，從現今一直到永久。
But we will bless the LORD, From this time forth even for ever! Praise ye the LORD!
