< 詩篇 115 >

1 上主，光榮不要歸於我們，不要歸於我們！只願那個光榮完全歸於您的聖名，那是為了您的慈愛，為了您的忠誠。
Not to us, YHWH, not to us, but to your name be the glory, for your loving kindness and for your faithfulness.
2 為什麼讓外邦人常說：他們的天主在何處居住？
Why should the nations say, "Where is their God, now?"
3 我們的天主在天上居住，他創造了所喜愛的萬物。
But our God is in the heavens. He does whatever he pleases.
4 外邦人的偶像無非金銀，不過是人手中的製造品：
Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.
5 偶像有口，而不能言，偶像有眼，而不能看，
They have mouths, but they do not speak. They have eyes, but they do not see.
6 有耳，而不能聽，有鼻，而不能聞，
They have ears, but they do not hear. They have noses, but they do not smell.
7 有手，而不能動，有腳，而不能行，有喉，而不發聲。
They have hands, but they do not feel. They have feet, but they do not walk, neither do they speak through their throat.
8 鑄造偶像的人，將與偶像同亡；凡信賴偶像的人，也將是一樣。
Those who make them will be like them; yes, everyone who trusts in them.
9 以色列家族卻信賴上主，祂是他們的助佑和盾護；
Israel, trust in YHWH. He is their help and their shield.
10 亞郎的家族也信賴上主，祂是他們的助佑和盾護；
House of Aaron, trust in YHWH. He is their help and their shield.
11 敬愛上主的人信賴上主，祂是他們的助佑和盾護。
You who fear YHWH, trust in YHWH. He is their help and their shield.
12 上主眷念我們，也必給我們祝福，祝福以色列家族，也祝福亞郎家族；
YHWH remembers us. He will bless us. He will bless the house of Israel. He will bless the house of Aaron.
13 祂向敬愛上主的人祝福，不拘貴賤都要獲得祝福，
He will bless those who fear YHWH, both small and great.
14 願上主使您們的人口繁昌，使您們和您們的子女興旺！
May YHWH increase you more and more, you and your children.
15 願您們蒙受上主的祝福，祂是上天下地的造化主。
Blessed are you by YHWH, who made heaven and earth.
16 蒼天確實是上主的蒼天，上主給世人賞賜了塵寰。
The heavens are the heavens of YHWH; but the earth has he given to the descendants of Adam.
17 死人們不能夠讚美上主，降入陰府的人也不能夠，
The dead do not praise JAH, neither any who go down into silence;
18 而是我們讚頌上主，從現今一直到永久。
But we will bless JAH, from this time forth and forevermore. Praise JAH.
