詩篇 106
1 阿肋路亞。請您們向木讚頌，因為祂是美善寬仁，祂的仁慈永遠常存。
Praise ye the LORD! O give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; For his mercy endureth for ever!
2 誰能說完上主的大能化工。誰能述盡上主的一切光榮？
Who can utter the mighty deeds of the LORD? Who can show forth all his praise?
3 遵守誡命的人真是有福！時時行義的人，真是有福！
Happy are they who have regard to justice, Who practise righteousness at all times!
4 上主，求您為了您對百姓的仁慈，記念我，又求您按照您施救的扶助，看顧我，
Remember me, O LORD! with the favor promised to thy people; O visit me with thy salvation!
5 使我享見您選民的福樂，因您百姓的歡笑而歡笑；使我因您的產業而自豪。
That I may see the prosperity of thy chosen, That I may rejoice in the joy of thy people, That I may glory with thine inheritance!
6 我們和我們的祖先都犯過罪；都曾為非作歹而無惡不為；
We have sinned with our fathers; We have committed iniquity; we have done wickedly.
7 我們祖先在埃及的時期，對您奇蹟的意義總不領會，也總不懷念您眾多的恩惠，且在紅海畔將至高者違背。
Our fathers in Egypt did not regard thy wonders; They remembered not the multitude of thy mercies; But rebelled at the sea, the Red sea.
8 但祂為了自己的名，仍然救了他們。這是為了彰顯祂自己的神威大能。
Yet he saved them for his own name's sake. That he might make his mighty power to be known.
9 祂一呵斥紅海，紅海立即乾涸，領他們走過海底，像走過沙漠。
He rebuked the Red sea, and it was dried up, And he led them through the deep as through a desert.
10 救他們擺脫仇恨者的壓迫，從敵人的手中將他們救回。
He saved them from the hand of him that hated them, And redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
11 海水卻淹沒了他們的敵人，敵人連一酤也沒有留存。
The waters covered their enemies; There was not one of them left.
12 他們才相信了祂的諾言，高聲歌頌了對祂的頌讚。
Then believed they his words, And sang his praise.
13 他們很快就忘了上主的作為，他們不再堅持順從祂的旨意，
But they soon forgot his deeds, And waited not for his counsel.
14 遂在曠野中放縱貪慾，在荒蕪之地試探天主。
They gave way to appetite in the wilderness, And tempted God in the desert;
15 上主雖滿足了他們的貪求，卻使他們的肚腹發生毒瘤。
And he gave them their request, But sent upon them leanness.
16 他們在營中竟對梅瑟起了嫉妒。
They also envied Moses in the camp, And Aaron, the holy one of the LORD.
17 地裂開口吞下了達堂，掩蓋了阿彼蘭的同黨。
Then the earth opened, and swallowed up Dathan, And covered the company of Abiram,
18 有烈火在他們集會中燃起，火焰就把切所有的惡徒焚毀。
And a fire was kindled in their company; The flames burned up the wicked.
19 在曷勒布製造了牛犢，竟崇拜了一個金鑄的一個神偶；
They made a calf in Horeb, And worshipped a molten image;
20 將自己的光榮天主，變成了吃草的牛犢；
They changed their God of glory Into the image of a grass-eating ox.
21 竟將拯救自己的天主忘記：祂曾在埃及地顯示了奇事，
They forgot God, their saviour, Who had done such great things in Egypt,
22 祂也曾在含邦施行過靈蹟，祂也曾在紅海發顯過奇異。
Such wonders in the land of Ham. Such terrible things at the Red sea.
23 若非祂揀選的梅瑟出場，站立在當地的前方，挽回祂存心滅絕的怒浪，祂早就下令全部將他們滅亡。
Then he said that he would destroy them; Had not Moses, his chosen, stood before him in the breach, To turn away his wrath, that he might not destroy them.
24 他們還輕視了福地樂土，對上主的諾言不肯信取；
They also despised the pleasant land, And believed not his word;
25 在自己帳幕內抱怨懷恨，不願意聽從上主的聲音。
But murmured in their tents, And would not hearken to the voice of the LORD.
26 上主於是向他們舉手起誓，要在曠野使他們喪身倒斃；
Then he lifted up his hand against them, And swore that he would make them fall in the wilderness;
27 要將他們伙的子孫分散異邦，要使他們在大地各處流亡。
That he would overthrow their descendants among the nations, And scatter them in the lands.
28 此後，他們歸依巴耳培敖耳，還分食祭祀過死神的祭品。
They also gave themselves to the worship of Baal-peor, And ate sacrifices offered to lifeless idols.
29 又作惡犯罪觸怒了上主，祂忽降災禍將他們懲處；
Thus they provoked his anger by their practices, And a plague broke in upon them.
30 丕乃哈斯奮起調定停，這災禍才止息平定。
Then stood up Phinehas, and executed judgment, And the plague was stayed.
31 這確實算是他的功勳，世世代代感念不盡。
And this was counted to him for righteousness, To all generations for ever.
32 此後他們在默黎巴激怒上主，為了他們的理由，梅瑟也連累受苦；
They provoked him also at the waters of Meribah [[strife]], And evil befell Moses on their account.
33 因他們使他精神苦悶，他脣舌說話未加謹慎。
For they provoked his spirit, So that he spake inconsiderately with his lips.
34 上主命他們消滅異民，他們卻沒有聽命履行，
They did not destroy the nations, As Jehovah had commanded them.
35 反而同異民混雜來往，學會他們的不良習尚，
They mingled themselves with the peoples, And learned their practices.
36 竟崇拜了他們的偶像，偶像成了他們的羅網。
They even worshipped their idols, Which became to them a snare.
37 他們竟殺自己的兒女，把他們獻給邪魔惡鬼，
Their sons and their daughters they sacrificed to demons,
38 傾流了無罪者的血，奉獻給客納罕的木偶，那地就疲流血所玷污。
And shed innocent blood, The blood of their own sons and daughters, Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; And the land was polluted with blood.
39 他們因自己的作為，毫無廉恥，他們因自己的惡行，行同娼妓。
Thus they defiled themselves with their works, And played the harlot with their practices.
40 為此，上主向百姓大發憤怒，並對自己的人民憎恨厭惡；
Then burned the anger of the LORD against his people, So that he abhorred his own inheritance.
41 把他們交在異民的手內，讓惱恨他們的人來主宰，
And he gave them into the hand of the nations, And they who hated them ruled over them.
42 為他們的仇人所虐待，在他們的手下受迫害。
Their enemies oppressed them, And they were bowed down under their hand.
43 上主曾多次拯救他們但他們仍是抗不從命，陷於自己罪惡的深坑。
Many times did he deliver them; But they provoked him by their devices, And they were brought low for their iniquities.
44 上主聽到了他們的哀鳴，又垂顧了他們受的災情，
Yet, when he heard their cries, He had regard to their affliction;
45 憶起了祂自己恩待他們的盟約，憐憫了他們，只因祂的慈愛太多。
He remembered his covenant with them, And repented according to the greatness of his mercy,
46 使他們在俘擄他們的人前，成為自己憐憫的因緣。
And caused them to find pity Among all that carried them captive.
47 上主，我們的天主，求您拯救我們，由異民召回我們重逢，為讚美您的聖名，並以讚美您為光榮。
Save us, O Jehovah, our God! and gather us from among the nations, That we may give thanks to thy holy name, And glory in thy praise!
48 上主以色列的天主，從永遠到永遠受讚美！願全體百姓齊聲說：阿們，亞肋路亞。
[Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel, From everlasting to everlasting! And let all the people say, Amen! Praise ye Jehovah!]
