腓立比書 2
1 所以，如果你們在基督內獲得了鼓勵，愛的勸勉，聖神的交往，哀憐和同情，
If therefore there is any exhortation in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any tender mercies and compassion,
2 就應意見一致，同心合意，思念同樣的事，以滿全我的喜樂。
make my joy full by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind;
3 不論做什麼，不從私見，也不求虛榮，只存心謙下，彼此此該想自己不如人；
doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself;
4 各人不可只顧自己的事，也該顧別人的事。
each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others.
5 你們該懷有基督耶穌所懷有的心情：
Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus,
6 他雖具有天主的形體，並沒有以自己與天主同等，為應當把持不捨的，
who, existing in the form of God, didn’t consider equality with God a thing to be grasped,
7 卻使自己空虛，取了奴僕的形體，與人相似，形狀也一見如人；
but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men.
8 祂貶抑自己，聽命至死，且死在十字架上。
And being found in human form, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to the point of death, yes, the death of the cross.
9 為此，天主極其舉揚祂，賜給了祂一個名字，超越其它所有的名字，
Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name,
10 致使上天、地下和一切的一切，一聽到耶穌的名字，無不屈膝叩拜；
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth,
11 一切唇舌無不明認耶穌基督是主，以光榮大主聖父。
and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
12 為此，我可愛的，就如常常聽了命，不但我與你們同在的時候，就是如今不在時候，你們更應該聽命。你們要懷著恐懼戰憟，努力成就你們得救的事，
So then, my beloved, even as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13 因為是天主在你們內工作，使你們願意，並使你們力行，為成就祂的善意。
For it is God who works in you both to will and to work for his good pleasure.
14 你們做一切事，總不可抱怨，也不可爭論，
Do all things without complaining and arguing,
15 好使你們成為無可指謫和純潔的，在乖僻敗壞的世代中，做天主無瑕的子女；在世人中你們應放光明，有如字宙間明星，
that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without defect in the middle of a crooked and perverse generation, amongst whom you are seen as lights in the world,
16 將生命的話顯耀出來，使我到基督的日子，有可自誇的，那我就沒有白跑，也沒有徒勞。
holding up the word of life, that I may have something to boast in the day of Christ that I didn’t run in vain nor labour in vain.
17 既使我應在你們信德的祭祀和供獻上奠我的血，我也喜歡, 且與你們眾位一同喜歡；
Yes, and if I am poured out on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all.
18 同樣，你們也該喜歡，也該與我一同喜歡。
In the same way, you also should be glad and rejoice with me.
19 我在主耶穌內希望不久打發弟茂德到那裏去，好叫我知道你們的事而放心。
But I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon, that I also may be cheered up when I know how you are doing.
20 實在，我沒有一個像他那樣誠心關照你們的人，
For I have no one else like-minded, who will truly care about you.
21 因為其他的人都謀求自己的事，而不謀求基督耶穌的事。
For they all seek their own, not the things of Jesus Christ.
22 至於他，你們知道他所受過的考驗，他對我如同兒子對待父親一樣，與我一同從事了福音皂工作。
But you know that he has proved himself. As a child serves a father, so he served with me in furtherance of the Good News.
23 所以，我希望，幾時我一看出我的事怎樣了結，就立即打發他去；
Therefore I hope to send him at once, as soon as I see how it will go with me.
24 並且在主內我自信，我自己也快去。
But I trust in the Lord that I myself also will come shortly.
25 再者，我以為必須把我的弟兄、同事和戰友，即你們派來為供給我急需的使者，厄帕洛狄托給你們打發回去，
But I thought it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, fellow worker, fellow soldier, and your apostle and servant of my need,
26 因為他常想念你們眾人，又因你們聽說他病了，他更為心焦。
since he longed for you all, and was very troubled because you had heard that he was sick.
27 實在，他曾病得幾乎要死；但天主可憐了他，不但他，也可憐了我，免得我愁上加愁。
For indeed he was sick nearly to death, but God had mercy on him, and not on him only, but on me also, that I might not have sorrow on sorrow.
28 那麼，我儘速打發他回去，好叫你們看見他感到喜樂，而我也減少憂苦。
I have sent him therefore the more diligently, that when you see him again, you may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful.
29 所以你們應該在主內滿心喜歡接待他；像這樣的人，你們應當尊敬，
Receive him therefore in the Lord with all joy, and hold such people in honour,
30 因為他為了基督工作，曾冒性命的危險，接近了死亡，為彌你們未能事奉我的虧缺。
because for the work of Christ he came near to death, risking his life to supply that which was lacking in your service towards me.
