民數記 5
1 上主訓示梅瑟說：「
Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
2 你命以色列子民把患任何癩病、任何淋病及所有為死屍沾染不潔的人送出營外，
"Command the children of Israel that they put out of the camp every leper, and everyone who has an issue, and whoever is unclean by the dead.
3 不論男女，都應送到營外去，免得我住在他們中的營幕沾染不潔。」
Both you shall put male and female outside of the camp; that they not defile their camp, in the midst of which I dwell."
4 以色列子民就如此做了，將他們送到營外；上主怎樣吩咐了梅瑟，以色列子民就怎樣做了。
The children of Israel did so, and put them out outside of the camp; as Jehovah spoke to Moses, so did the children of Israel.
5 上主訓示梅瑟說：
Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
6 「你訓令以色列子民：不論男女，對近人作了什麼不義的事，因此得罪上主而自覺有罪，
"Speak to the children of Israel: When a man or woman commits any sin that men commit, so as to trespass against Jehovah, and that soul is guilty;
7 他該承認自己所作的不義，除賠償全部損失外，還應另加五分之一給他所害的人。
then he shall confess his sin which he has done, and he shall make restitution for his guilt in full, and add to it the fifth part of it, and give it to him in respect of whom he has been guilty.
8 若此人沒有近親可向他賠償，這賠償就歸上主，屬於司祭。此外尚應獻一贖罪的公綿羊，為自己贖罪。
But if the man has no kinsman to whom restitution may be made for the guilt, the restitution for guilt which is made to Jehovah shall be the priest's; besides the ram of the atonement, by which atonement shall be made for him.
9 以色列子民在奉獻的各種聖物中，凡是給司祭的獻儀，即歸於司祭。
Every heave offering of all the holy things of the children of Israel, which they present to the priest, shall be his.
10 每人所奉獻的聖物，應歸自己；但人給與司祭的，應歸於司祭。」
Every man's holy things shall be his: whatever any man gives the priest, it shall be his."
11 上主訓示梅瑟說：「
Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
12 你告訴以色列子民說：若某人的妻子背離丈夫，
"Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them: If any man's wife goes astray, and is unfaithful to him,
13 對他不忠，瞞著丈夫讓人與她同睡交媾，在暗中玷污了自己，又沒有見證，也沒有被捉住，
and a man lies with her carnally, and it is hidden from the eyes of her husband, and is kept close, and she is defiled, and there is no witness against her, and she isn't taken in the act;
14 若丈夫心生疑忌，疑忌他的妻子受了玷污；或者心生疑忌疑忌他的妻子，但她實在沒有受玷污；
and the spirit of jealousy comes on him, and he is jealous of his wife, and she is defiled: or if the spirit of jealousy comes on him, and he is jealous of his wife, and she isn't defiled:
15 丈夫就應帶他的妻子到司祭前，為她獻祭，獻十分之一「厄法」的大麥粉，其上不可倒油，也不可加乳香，因為這是因疑忌所獻的素祭，是一回憶罪過的素祭。
then the man shall bring his wife to the priest, and shall bring her offering for her: the tenth part of an ephah of barley meal. He shall pour no oil on it, nor put frankincense on it, for it is a meal offering of jealousy, a meal offering of memorial, bringing iniquity to memory.
16 司祭令她前來，站在上主面前；
The priest shall bring her near, and set her before Jehovah;
17 然後用陶器取些聖水，再由會幕地上取些塵土，放入水內。
and the priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel; and of the dust that is on the floor of the tabernacle the priest shall take, and put it into the water.
18 司祭叫這女人站在上主面前，鬆開她的頭髮，將回憶的素祭品，即為疑忌所獻的素祭品，放在她的掌上，司祭手內拿著給人招致咒罵的苦水，
The priest shall set the woman before Jehovah, and let the hair of the woman's head go loose, and put the meal offering of memorial in her hands, which is the meal offering of jealousy. The priest shall have in his hand the water of bitterness that brings a curse.
19 然後司祭命那女人起誓，對她說：「若沒有人與你同睡，若你沒有背離丈夫受玷污，願這招致咒罵的苦水於你無害。
The priest shall cause her to swear, and shall tell the woman, 'If no man has lain with you, and if you haven't gone aside to uncleanness, being under your husband, be free from this water of bitterness that brings a curse.
20 但是，如果你背離了丈夫受了玷污，讓丈夫以外的男人與你同睡，──
But if you have gone astray, being under your husband, and if you are defiled, and some man has lain with you besides your husband:'
21 在此司祭叫那女人以詛咒的誓辭起誓，然後對她說：──願上主使你在你民族中成為可咒罵和詛咒的人，使你大腿萎縮，使你肚腹腫脹，
then the priest shall cause the woman to swear with the oath of cursing, and the priest shall tell the woman, 'Jehovah make you a curse and an oath among your people, when Jehovah allows your thigh to fall away, and your body to swell;
22 願這招致咒罵的水進入你的五臟，使你肚腹腫脹，使你大腿萎縮! 」女人答說：「阿們、阿們。」
and this water that brings a curse will go into your bowels, and make your body swell, and your thigh fall away.' The woman shall say, 'Amen, Amen.'
23 隨後司祭將這些咒文寫在紙上，用苦水洗去，
"The priest shall write these curses on a scroll, and he shall blot them out into the water of bitterness.
24 令女人喝這招致咒罵的苦水。這招致咒罵的水一進入她內，就給她帶來苦楚。
He shall make the woman drink the water of bitterness that causes the curse; and the water that causes the curse shall enter into her and become bitter.
25 司祭再由這女人的手內，接過為疑忌所獻的素祭祭品，在上主面前行過搖禮後，放在祭壇上；
The priest shall take the meal offering of jealousy out of the woman's hand, and shall wave the meal offering before Jehovah, and bring it to the altar.
26 再由這素祭祭品內取出一把來作為紀念，放在祭壇上焚燒；以後，纔令女人喝這水。
The priest shall take a handful of the meal offering, as its memorial, and burn it on the altar, and afterward shall make the woman drink the water.
27 司祭命她喝水以後，事必靈驗：如果她受了玷污，對丈夫不忠，這招致咒罵的水一進入她內，就給她帶來苦楚；她的肚腹必腫脹，大腿必萎縮；這女人在她的民族中，必成為可咒罵的人。
When he has made her drink the water, then it shall happen, if she is defiled, and has committed a trespass against her husband, that the water that causes the curse will enter into her and become bitter, and her body will swell, and her thigh will fall away: and the woman will be a curse among her people.
28 但是，如果這女人沒有受玷污，而是貞潔的，就不致受害，反要生育子女。
If the woman isn't defiled, but is clean; then she shall be free and will conceive children.
29 這是關於疑忌事的法律：幾時一個婦人，背離丈夫，受了玷污；
"This is the law of jealousy, when a wife, being under her husband, goes astray, and is defiled;
30 或是一個男人心生疑忌，疑忌自己的妻子，他應帶妻子站在上主面前，司祭應對她執行這法律所規定的一切。
or when the spirit of jealousy comes on a man, and he is jealous of his wife; then he shall set the woman before Jehovah, and the priest shall execute on her all this law.
31 如此，男人可免無罪，女人應自負罪債。」
The man shall be free from iniquity, and that woman shall bear her iniquity."
