馬太福音 26
1 講完了這一切話，便衪的門徒說：
When Jesus had ended all these discourses, He said to His disciples,
2 「你們知道：兩天以後就是逾越節，人子要被解送，被釘在十字架上。」
"You know that in two days' time the Passover comes. And the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified."
3 司祭長和民間長老，都聚集在叫蓋法的司祭的庭院內，
Then the High Priests and Elders of the People assembled in the court of the palace of the High Priest Caiaphas,
4 同共議決要用詭計捉拿耶穌，君以殺害。
and consulted how to get Jesus into their power by stratagem and put Him to death.
5 但是他們說：不可在慶節期內，免得民間發生暴動」。
But they said, "Not during the Festival, lest there be a riot among the people."
6 耶穌正在伯達尼癩病人西滿家裏時，
Now when Jesus was come to Bethany and was at the house of Simon the Leper,
7 有一個女人拿著一玉瓶貴重的香液來到耶穌跟前，倒在正坐席的耶穌的頭上。
a woman came to Him with a jar of very costly, sweet-scented ointment, which she poured over His head as He reclined at table.
8 門徒們見了就不滿意說：「為什麼這樣浪法費﹖
"Why such waste?" indignantly exclaimed the disciples;
9 這香液原可賣得許多錢，施捨給窮人。」
"for this might have been sold for a considerable sum, and the money given to the poor."
10 耶穌知道了，就對他們說：「你們為什麼叫這個女人難受？ 她在我身上原是作了一件善事。
But Jesus heard it, and said to them, "Why are you vexing her? For she has done a most gracious act towards me.
11 你們常有窮人同你們在一起，於我，你們卻不常有。
The poor you always have with you, but me you have not always.
12 她把這香液倒在我身上，原是為安葬我而作的。
In pouring this ointment over me, her object was to prepare me for burial.
13 我實在告訴你們：將來在全世界，這福音無論傳到那裏，必要述說她所作的事，來記念她。」
In solemn truth I tell you that wherever in the whole world this Good News shall be proclaimed, this deed of hers shall be spoken of in memory of her."
14 隨後，那十二人中之一，名叫猶達斯依斯加略的，去見司祭長，
At that time one of the Twelve, the one called Judas Iscariot, went to the High Priests
15 說：「我把他交給你們，你們願意給我什麼？ 」他們約定給他三十塊銀錢。
and said, "What are you willing to give me if I betray him to you?" So they weighed out to him thirty shekels,
16 從此他便尋找機會，要把耶穌交出。
and from that moment he was on the look out for an opportunity to betray Him.
17 無酵節的第一天，門徒前來對耶穌說：「你願意我們在那裏，給你預備吃逾越節晚餐？」
On the first day of the Unleavened Bread the disciples came to Jesus with the question, "Where shall we make preparations for you to eat the Passover?"
18 耶穌說：「你們進城去見某人，對他說：師父說：我的時候近了，我要與我門徒在你那裏舉行逾越節。」
"Go into the city," He replied, "to a certain man, and tell him, 'The Teacher says, My time is close at hand. It is at your house that I shall keep the Passover with my disciples.'"
19 門徒就照耶穌吩咐他們的作了，預備了逾越節晚餐。
The disciples did as Jesus directed them, and got the Passover ready.
20 到了晚上，耶穌與十二門徒坐席。
When evening came, He was at table with the twelve disciples,
21 他們正吃晚餐的時候，耶穌說：我實在告訴你們：你們中有一個人要出賣我。」
and the meal was proceeding, when Jesus said, "In solemn truth I tell you that one of you will betray me."
22 他們非常憂悶，開始各自對衪說：「主，難道是我嗎？」
Intensely grieved they began one after another to ask Him, "Can it be I, Master?"
23 耶穌回答說：「那同我一起把手蘸在盤子裏的人要出賣我。
"The one who has dipped his fingers in the bowl with me," He answered, "is the man who will betray me.
24 人子固然要按照指著他所記載的而去，但是出賣人子的那人卻是有禍的，那人若是沒內有生，為他更好。」
The Son of Man is indeed going as is written concerning Him; but alas for that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It had been a happy thing for that man if he had never been born."
25 那要出賣衪的猶達斯也開口問耶穌說：「辣彼，難道是我嗎？ 」耶穌對他說：「你說的是。」
Then Judas, the disciple who was betraying Him, asked, "Can it be I, Rabbi?" "It is you," He replied.
26 他們正吃晚餐的時候，耶穌拿起餅來，祝謝了，擘開遞給們徒說：「你們拿去吃吧！這是我的身體。」
During the meal Jesus took a Passover biscuit, blessed it and broke it. He then gave it to the disciples, saying, "Take this and eat it: it is my body."
27 然後又拿起杯來，祝謝了，遞給他們說：「你們都由其中喝吧！
And He took the cup and gave thanks, and gave it to them saying, "Drink from it, all of you;
28 因為這是我的血，為大眾傾流，以赦免罪過。
for this is my blood which is to be poured out for many for the remission of sins--the blood which ratifies the Covenant.
29 我告訴你們：從今以後，我不再喝這葡萄汁了，直到在我父的國裏那一天，與你們同喝新酒。」
I tell you that I will never again take the produce of the vine till that day when I shall drink the new wine with you in my Father's Kingdom."
30 他們唱了聖詠，就出來往橄欖山去。
So they sang the hymn and went out to the Mount of Olives.
31 那時，耶穌對他們說：「今夜你們都要為我的緣故跌倒，因為經上記載：『我要打擊牧人，羊群就要四散。』
Then said Jesus, "This night all of you will stumble and fail in your fidelity to me; for it is written, 'I will strike the Shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered in all directions.'
32 但是我復活後，要在你們以先到加利肋亞去。」
But after I have risen to life again I will go before you into Galilee."
33 伯多祿卻回答衪說：「既使眾人都要因仔的緣故跌倒，我決不會跌倒。」
"All may stumble and fail," said Peter, "but I never will."
34 耶穌對他說：「我寶在告訴你：今夜雞叫以前，你要三次不認我。」
"In solemn truth I tell you," replied Jesus, "that this very night, before the cock crows, you will three times disown me."
35 伯多祿對衪說：「即便我該你一起死，我也決不會不認你。」眾門徒也都這樣說了。
"Even if I must die with you," declared Peter, "I will never disown you." In like manner protested all the disciples.
36 髓後，耶穌同他們來到一個名叫革責瑪尼的莊園裏，便對門徒說：「你們坐在這裏，等我到那邊去祈禱。」
Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane. And He said to the disciples, "Sit down here, whilst I go yonder and there pray."
37 遂帶了伯多祿和載伯德的兩個兒子同去，開始憂愁恐怖起來，
And He took with Him Peter and the two sons of Zabdi. Then He began to be full of anguish and distress,
38 遂對他門說：我的心靈憂悶得要死，你們留在這裏同我一起醒寤吧！」
and He said to them, "My soul is crushed with anguish to the very point of death; wait here, and keep awake with me."
39 衪稍微前行，就俯首至地祈禱說：「我父，若是可能，就讓這杯離開我吧！但不要照我，而要照你所願意的。」
Going forward a short distance He fell on His face and prayed. "My Father," He said, "if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as Thou willest."
40 衪來到門徒那裏，見他門睡著了，便對伯多祿說：「你們竟不能同我醒寤一個時辰嗎？
Then He came to the disciples and found them asleep, and He said to Peter, "Alas, none of you could keep awake with me for even a single hour!
41 醒寤祈禱吧！免陷於誘惑；心固神然切願，但肉體卻軟弱。」
Keep awake, and pray that you may not enter into temptation: the spirit is right willing, but the body is frail."
42 衪第二次再去祈禱說：「我父！如果這杯不能離去，非要我喝不可，就成全你的願意吧！」
Again a second time He went away and prayed, saying, "My Father, if it is impossible for this cup to pass without my drinking it, Thy will be done."
43 衪又回來，見他門仍然睡著，因為他門的眼睛很是沈重。
He came and again found them asleep, for they were very tired.
44 衪再離開他門，第三次去祈禱，又說了同樣的話。
So He left them, and went away once more and prayed a third time, again using the same words.
45 然後回到門徒那裏，對他門說：「你們睡下去吧！休息吧！ 看，時候到了，人子就要被交於罪人手裏。
Then He came to the disciples and said, "Sleep on and rest. See, the moment is close at hand when the Son of Man is to be betrayed into the hands of sinful men.
46 起來，我們去吧！看那出賣我的已來近了。」
Rouse yourselves. Let us be going. My betrayer is close at hand."
47 衪還在說話的時候，看，那十二人中之一的猶達斯來了；同他一起的，還有許多帶著刀劍棍棒的群眾，摸是由司祭長和民間長老派來的。
He had scarcely finished speaking when Judas came--one of the Twelve--accompanied by a great crowd of men armed with swords and bludgeons, sent by the High Priests and Elders of the People.
48 那出賣耶穌的給了他門一個暗號說：「我失口親誰，誰就是，你們拿住衪。」
Now the betrayer had agreed upon a sign with them, to direct them. He had said, "The one whom I kiss is the man: lay hold of him."
49 猶達斯一來到耶穌跟前，就說：「辣彼，你好。」就口親了衪。
So he went straight to Jesus and said, "Peace to you, Rabbi!" And he kissed Him eagerly.
50 耶穌卻對他說：「朋友，你來做的事，就做吧！」於是他門上前，向耶穌下手，拿住了衪。
"Friend," said Jesus, "carry out your intention." Then they came and laid their hands on Jesus and seized Him firmly.
51 有同耶穌在一的一個人，伸手拔出自己的劍，砍了大司祭的僕人一劍，削去了他的一個耳朵。
But one of those with Jesus drew his sword and struck the High Priest's servant, cutting off his ear.
52 耶穌遂對他說：「把你的劍放回處；因為凡持劍的，必死在劍下。
"Put back your sword again," said Jesus, "for all who draw the sword shall perish by the sword.
53 你想，我不能要交我父，即刻給我調動十二軍以上的天使嗎？
Or do you suppose I cannot entreat my Father and He would instantly send to my help more than twelve legions of angels?
54 若是這樣，怎能應驗經上所載應如此成就事呢？ 」
In that case how are the Scriptures to be fulfilled which declare that thus it must be?"
55 在那時，耶穌對群眾說：「你們帶著刀劍棍棒出來拿我，如同對付強盜。我天天坐在聖殿內施教，你們沒有拿我。」
Then said Jesus to the crowds, "Have you come out as if to fight with a robber, with swords and bludgeons to apprehend me? Day after day I have been sitting teaching in the Temple, and you did not arrest me.
56 這一切都發生了，是為應驗先知所記載的。於是門徒都撇下衪逃跑了。
But all this has taken place in order that the writings of the Prophets may be fulfilled." At this point the disciples all left Him and fled.
57 那些拿住耶穌的人，將耶穌帶到大司祭蓋法前；經師和長老已聚集在那裏。
But the officers who had laid hold of Jesus led Him away to Caiaphas the High Priest, at whose house the Scribes and the Elders had assembled.
58 伯多祿遠遠跟著耶穌，直到大司祭的庭院，他也進到裏面，坐在差役中觀看結局。
And Peter kept following Him at a distance, till he came even to the court of the High Priest's palace, where he entered and sat down among the officers to see the issue.
59 司祭長和全公議會尋找相反耶穌的假證據，要把衪處死。
Meanwhile the High Priests and the whole Sanhedrin were seeking false testimony against Jesus in order to put Him to death;
60 雖然有許多假見證出庭，但沒有找出什麼。最後有兩個人上前來，說：「
but they could find none, although many false witnesses came forward. At length there came two
61 這人曾經說過：我能拆毀天主的聖殿，在三天內我能把它重建起來。」
who testified, "This man said, 'I am able to pull down the Sanctuary of God and three days afterwards to build a new one.'"
62 大司祭就站起來，對衪說：「這些人作證反對你的事，你什麼也不回答嗎？ 」
Then the High Priest stood up and asked Him, "Have you no answer to make? What is it these men are saying in evidence against you?"
63 耶穌卻不出聲。於是大司祭對衪說：「我因生活的天主，起誓命你告訴我們：你是不是默西亞，天主之子？」
Jesus however remained silent. Again the High Priest addressed Him. "In the name of the ever-living God," he said, "I now put you on your oath. Tell us whether you are the Christ, the Son of God."
64 耶穌他說：「你說的是。並且我告訴你們：從此你們要看見人子坐在大能者的右邊，乘著天上的雲彩降來。
"I am He," replied Jesus. "But I tell you that, later on, you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Omnipotence, and coming on the clouds of the sky."
65 大司祭遂撕裂自己衣服說：「他說了褻瀆的話。何必還須要見證呢？ 你們剛才聽到了這褻瀆的話，
Then the High Priest tore his robes and exclaimed, "Impious language! What further need have we of witnesses! See, you have now heard the impiety.
66 你們以為該怎樣？ 」他們回答說：「他該死。」
What is your verdict?" "He deserves to die," they replied.
67 眾人遂即向衪臉上吐唾沬，用拳碩打衪；另有一些人也用巴掌打衪，
Then they spat in His face, and struck Him--some with the fist, some with the open hand--
68 說：「默西亞，你猜猜是誰打你？ 」
while they taunted Him, saying, "Christ, prove yourself a Prophet by telling us who it was that struck you."
69 伯多祿在外面庭院裏坐著，有一個使女來到他跟前說：」你也是同那加利肋亞人耶穌一起的。」
Peter meanwhile was sitting outside in the court of the palace, when one of the maidservants came over to him and said, "You too were with Jesus the Galilaean."
70 他當眾人否認說：「我不知道妳的是什麼。」
He denied it before them all, saying, "I do not know what you mean."
71 他出去到了門廊，另有一個使女看他，就對那裏的人說：「這人是同那納匝肋人耶穌一起的。」
Soon afterwards he went out and stood in the gateway, when another girl saw him, and said, addressing the people there, "This man was with Jesus the Nazarene."
72 他又發誓否認說：「我不認識這個人。」
Again he denied it with an oath. "I do not know the man," he said.
73 過了一回，站在那的人前來對伯多祿說：「的確，你也是他們中的一個，因為你的口音把你露出來了。」
A short time afterwards the people standing there came and said to Peter, "Certainly you too are one of them, for your brogue shows it."
74 伯多祿就開始詛咒發詈說：「我不認識這個人。」立刻雞就叫了。
Then with curses and oaths he declared, "I do not know the man." Immediately a cock crowed,
75 伯多祿就想起耶穌所說的話來：「雞叫以前，你要三次不認我。」他一到了外面，就傷心痛哭起來。
and Peter recollected the words of Jesus, how He had said, "Before the cock crows you will three times disown me." And he went out and wept aloud, bitterly.
