馬太福音 22
1 又開口用比喻對他們說：
And Jesus answered, and spoke to them again by parables, and said,
2 「天國好比一個國王，為自己的兒子辦婚宴。
The kingdom of heaven is like to a certain king, who made a marriage for his son,
3 他打發僕人去召被請的人來赴宴，他們卻不願意來。
And sent his servants to call them that were invited to the wedding: and they would not come.
4 又派其他的僕人去，說：你們對被請的人說：看，我已預備好了我的盛宴，我的公牛和肥畜都宰殺了，一切都齊備了，你們來赴婚宴吧！
Again, he sent other servants, saying, Tell them who are invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and [my] fatlings [are] killed, and all things [are] ready: come to the marriage.
5 他們卻不理：有的往自己的田裏去了，有的作自己的生意去了；
But they made light of [it], and went, one to his farm, another to his merchandise.
6 其餘的竟拿住他的僕人凌辱後殺死了。
And the remnant took his servants, and treated [them] spitefully, and slew [them].
7 國王於是動了怒，派自已軍隊消滅了那些殺人的兇手，焚毀了他們的城市。
But when the king heard [of it], he was wroth: and he sent his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.
8 然後對僕人說：婚宴已經齊備了，但是被請的人都不配。
Then he saith to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they who were invited were not worthy.
9 如今你們到各路口去，凡是你們所遇到的，都請來赴婚宴。
Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, invite to the marriage.
10 那些僕人就出去到大路，凡遇到的，無論壞人或好人，都召集了來，婚宴上就滿了坐席的人。
So those servants went out into the highways, and collected all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.
11 國王進來巡視坐席客人，看見那裏有一個沒有穿婚宴禮服的人，
And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man who had not a wedding-garment:
12 便對他說：朋友，你怎麼到這裏來，不穿婚宴禮服？ 那人默默無語。
And he saith to him, Friend, how camest thou in hither, not having a wedding-garment? And he was speechless.
13 國王遂對僕人說：你們捆起他的手和腳來，把他丟在外面的黑暗中；在那裏要有哀號和切齒。
Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast [him] into utter darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
14 因為被居的人多，被選的人少。」
For many are called, but few [are] chosen.
15 那時，法利賽人去商討怎樣叫耶穌入圈套。
Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle him in [his] talk.
16 他們遂派自己的門徒和黑落德黨人到衪跟前說：「師傅，我們知道你是真誠的，按真理教授天主的道路，不顧忌任何人，因為你不看人的情面。
And they sent out to him their disciples, with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any [man]: for thou regardest not the person of men.
17 如今請你告訴你們：你以為如何？給凱撒納稅，可以不可以？」
Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute to Cesar, or not?
18 耶穌看破他們的惡意，就說：「假善人，你們為什麼要試探我？
But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, [ye] hypocrites?
19 拿一個稅幣給我看看！」他們便遞給衪一塊「德納」。
Show me the tribute-money. And they brought to him a penny.
20 耶穌對他們說：「這肖像和名號是誰的？ 」
And he saith to them, Whose [is] this image, and superscription?
21 他們對衪說：「凱撒的」。耶穌對他們說：「那麼，凱撒的，就應歸還凱撒；天主的，就應歸還天主。」
They say to him, Cesar's. Then saith he to them, Render therefore to Cesar, the things which are Cesar's; and to God, the things that are God's.
22 他們聽了大為驚異，遂離開衪走了。
When they had heard [these words], they marveled, and left him, and departed.
23 在那一天，否認的撤杜賽人，來到衪跟前，問衪說：
The same day came to him the Sadducees, who say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,
24 「師傅，梅瑟說誰若死了沒有兒子，他的弟弟就應娶他的女人為妻，給他哥哥立嗣。
Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man shall die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed to his brother.
25 在我們中曾有兄弟七人：第一個娶了妻沒有子嗣就死了，遺下妻子給他的的弟弟；
Now there were with us seven brothers: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased; and having no issue, left his wife to his brother.
26 連第二個與第三個，直到第七個都是這樣。
Likewise the second also, and the third, to the seventh.
27 最後，那婦人也死了。
And last of all the woman died also.
28 那麼在復活的時候，他是七人中那一個的妻子？因為都曾娶過她。」
Therefore in the resurrection, whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.
29 耶穌回答他們說：「你們了錯了，不明瞭經書，也不明瞭天主的能力，
Jesus answered and said to them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
30 因為復活的時候，也不娶，也不嫁，好像在天上的天使一樣。
For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
31 關於死人復活，你們不曾念過天主對你們所說
But as concerning the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken to you by God, saying,
32 『我是亞巴郎的天主，依撒格的天主及雅各伯的天主』的話嗎？ 他不是死人的，而是活人的天主。」
I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
33 民眾聽了，就都驚訝衪的道理。
And when the multitude heard [this], they were astonished at his doctrine.
34 法利賽人聽說耶穌使撤杜塞人閉口無言，就聚在一起；
But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were assembled about him.
35 他們中有一個法學士試探他，發問說：
Then one of them [who was] a lawyer, asked [him a question], tempting him, and saying,
36 「師傅，法律中那條誡命是最大的？ 」
Master, which [is] the great commandment in the law?
37 耶穌對他們說：「『你應全心，全靈，全意，愛上主你的天主。』
Jesus said to him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 這是最大也是第一條誡命。
This is the first and great commandment.
39 第二條與此相似：你應當愛近人如你自己。
And the second [is] like it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
40 全部法律和先知都繫於這兩條誡命。
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
41 法利賽人聚在一起時，耶穌問他們
While the Pharisees were assembled, Jesus asked them,
42 說：「關於默西亞，你們以為如何？ 衪是誰的兒子？ 」他們回答說：「達味的。
Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say to him, [The son] of David.
43 耶穌對他們說：「怎麼達味受聖神的感動，稱衪為主說：
He saith to them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,
44 「上主對我主說：你坐在我右邊，等我把你的仇敵放在你腳下？ 』
The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thy enemies thy footstool?
45 那麼，如果達味稱衪為王，衪怎會是達味的兒子？ 」
If David then calleth him Lord, how is he his son?
46 沒有人能回答衪一句話。從那天以後，沒有誰再敢問衪。
And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any [man], from that day forth, ask him any more questions.
