馬太福音 15
1 時，有法利塞人和經師，從耶路撒冷來到耶穌跟前說：「
Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, who were of Jerusalem, saying,
2 你的門徒為什麼違犯先人的傳受？他們吃飯時竟不洗手。」
Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.
3 耶穌回答他們說：「你們為什麼為了你們的傳受，而惟犯天主的戒命呢？
But he answered and said to them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?
4 天主曾說過：『你要孝敬父親和父母。』又說過：『咒罵父親和母親的，應處以死行刑。』
For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.
5 你們卻說：誰若對父親或母親說：我所能供養你的，已成了獻儀；
But ye say, Whoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatever thou mightest be profited by me;
6 他就不必再孝敬父親或母親了。你們就為了你們的傳受，廢棄了天主的話。
And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition.
7 假善人哪！依撒意亞論你們預言的真好，他說：『
Ye hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,
8 這民族用嘴唇尊敬我，他們的心卻是遠離我；
This people draweth near to me with their mouth, and honour me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
9 他更們恭敬我也是假的，因為他們講授的教義是人的規律。』」
But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
10 耶穌便叫群眾來，對他們說：「你門聽，且要明白：
And he called the multitude, and said to them, Hear, and understand:
11 不是入於口的，纔始人污穢。」
Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.
12 那時，們徒前來告訴耶穌說：「你知道法利塞人聽了這話，起了反感嗎﹖」
Then came his disciples, and said to him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?
13 耶穌答說：「任何植物，凡不是我天父所栽種的，必要連根拔除。
But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted out.
14 由他們罷！他們是瞎子，且是瞎子的領路人；但若瞎子領瞎子兩人必要掉在坑裏。」
Let them alone: they are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leadeth the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
15 伯多錄遂應聲對耶蘇說：「請你為我們講解這個比喻罷！」
Then answered Peter and said to him, Make known to us the meaning of this parable.
16 耶穌說：「連你們也不明白嗎？
And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding?
17 你們不曉得：凡如於口的，先到肚腹內，然後排泄到廁所裏去嗎？
Do ye not yet understand, that whatever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the stomach, and is cast out into the draught?
18 但那從口裏出來的，都是由心裏發出來的，這些纔始人污穢，
But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
19 因為由心裏發出來的是惡念、兄殺、姦淫、邪淫、盜竊、妄證、誹謗。
For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
20 這些都使人污穢，至於不洗手吃飯，並不能使人污穢。」
These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashed hands defileth not a man.
21 耶穌離開那裏，就退往提洛和漆冬一帶去了。
Then Jesus went from there, and departed into the region of Tyre and Sidon.
22 看，有一個客納罕婦人，從那地方出來喊說：「主，達味之子，可憐我罷！我的女兒被魔糾纏的好苦啊！」
And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same region, and cried to him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously afflicted with a demon.
23 耶穌卻一句話也不回答她。他的們徒就上前求他說：「打發她走罷！因為她在我們後面不停地喊叫。」
But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
24 耶穌回答說：「我被派遣，只是為了以色列家失迷的羔羊。」
But he answered and said, I am not sent but to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
25 那婦人卻前來叩拜他說：「主，援助我罷！」
Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
26 耶穌回答說：「拿兒女的餅扔給小狗，是不對的。」
But he answered and said, It is not good to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.
27 但她說：「是啊！主，可是小狗也吃主人桌子上掉下來的碎屑。」
And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.
28 耶穌回答她說：「啊！ 婦人，妳的信德真大，就如妳所願望的，給妳成就罷！」從那時刻起，她的女兒就痊愈了。
Then Jesus answered and said to her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it to thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was healed from that very hour.
29 耶穌離開了那裏，來到加里肋亞海岸，上了山坐在那裏。
And Jesus departed from there, and came near to the sea of Galilee; and went up on a mountain, and sat down there.
30 於是有許多群眾帶著瘸子、瞎子、啞吧、和許多其他的病人來到耶穌跟前，把他們放在他的足前，他便治好了他們；
And great multitudes came to him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and laid them down at Jesus’ feet; and he healed them:
31 致始群眾見到啞吧說話，殘廢康復，瘸子行走，瞎子看見，都大為驚奇，頌揚以色列的天主。
So that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.
32 耶穌將自己的們徒召來說：「我很憐憫這群眾，因為他們同我在一起以經三天，也沒有什麼可吃的；我不願遣散他們空著肚子回去，怕他們在路上昏倒。」
Then Jesus called his disciples to him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.
33 們徒對他說：「在荒野裏我們從那裏得這麼多的餅，使這麼多的群眾吃飽呢？」
And his disciples say to him, Where should we get so much bread in the wilderness, as to satisfy so great a multitude?
34 耶穌對他們說：「你們有多少餅 ？」他們說：「七個，還有幾條小魚。」
And Jesus saith to them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven, and a few little fishes.
35 耶穌就吩咐群眾坐在地上，
And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground.
36 拿起那七個餅和魚來，祝謝了，擘開，遞給們徒；門徒再分給群眾。
And he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and broke them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
37 眾人都吃了，也都飽了，把剩下的碎塊收集了滿滿七籃子。
And they all ate, and were filled: and they took up of the broken pieces that were left seven baskets full.
38 吃的人數，除婦女和孩子外，約有四千人。
And they that had eaten were four thousand men, besides women and children.
39 耶穌遣散了群眾，就上船，來到瑪加丹境內。
And he sent away the multitude, and got into a boat, and came into the region of Magdala.
