馬可福音 10
1 耶穌從那裏起身，來到猶太境界，約旦河的對岸，群眾又聚集到他那裏，他又照常教訓他們。
On leaving that place Jesus came into the borders of Judea, on the other side of the Jordan, Once more the people flocked about him, and again, as usual, he began teaching them.
2 有些法利賽人前來問耶穌：許不許丈夫休妻﹖意思是要試探他。
Presently some Pharisees came up and tested him, by asking if it was lawful for a man to divorce his wife.
3 耶穌回答他們說：「梅瑟吩咐了你們什麼﹖」
"What did Moses command you?" he replied,
4 他們說：「梅瑟准許了寫休書休妻。」
"Moses," said they, "permitted a man to draw up a bill of separation and divorce her."
5 耶穌對他們說：「這是為了你們的心硬，他才給你們寫下了這條法令。
But Jesus said to them. "Moses gave you that command because of the hardness of your hearts;
6 但是，從創造之初，天主造了他們一男一女。
but from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
7 為此，人要離開他的父母，依附自己的妻子，
"For this cause a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh;
8 二人成為一體，以致他們不再是兩個，而是一體了。
so that they are no more two, but one flesh.
9 所以，天主所結合的人不可拆散。」
What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder."
10 回到家裏，門徒又問他這事，
When indoors the disciples began to question Jesus again about this, and he said.
11 耶穌對他們說：「誰若休自己的妻子而另娶，就是犯姦淫，辜負妻子；
"Any man who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her;
12 若妻子離棄自己的丈夫而另嫁，也是犯姦淫。」
and if she divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits adultery."
13 有人給耶穌領來小孩子，要他撫摸他們；門徒卻斥責他們。
Now people were bringing little children to Jesus for him to touch them; but the disciples rebuked them.
14 耶穌見了，就生了氣，對他們說：「讓小孩子到我跟前來，不要阻止他們! 因為天主的國正屬於這樣的人。
Jesus was indignant when he saw it, and said. "Let the little children come to me. Do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such.
15 我實在告訴你們：誰若不像小孩子一接受天主的國，決不能進去。」
I tell you true that unless a man receives the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not even enter it."
16 耶穌遂抱起他們來，給他們覆手，祝福了他們。
Then he took them in his arms, and laid his hand upon them in blessing.
As he started to go forth into the road, a man came running up to him, and knelt down before him. "Good Teacher," he asked, "what must I do to inherit eternal life?" (aiōnios g166)
18 耶穌對他說：「你為什麼稱我善﹖除了天主一個外，沒有誰是善的。
Jesus said to him. "Why do you call me ‘good’? No one is good save one, God himself.
19 誡命你都知道：不可殺人，不可姦淫，不可偷盜，不可做假見證，不可欺詐，應孝敬你的父母。」
You know the commandments. Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not bear false witness, do not cheat, honor your father and mother."
20 他回答耶穌說：「傅! 這一切我從小就遵守了。」
"Teacher," he answered, "I have observed all these from my youth."
21 耶穌定睛看他，就喜愛他，對他說：「你還缺少一樣：你去，變賣你所有的一切，施捨給窮人，你必有寶藏在天上；然後來，背著十字架，跟隨我!」
Jesus loved him as he looked at him, and said. "One thing you lack. Go, sell all you have and give to the poor; and you shall have wealth in heaven; and come, follow me."
22 因了這話，那人就面帶愁容，憂鬱地走了，因為他有許多產業。
But his face fell at these words, and he went away saddened, for he was one who had great wealth.
23 耶穌周圍一看，就對自己的門徒說：「那些有錢的人，進天主的國是多麼難啊!」
Then Jesus looked round on his disciples and said, "How hard it is for those who have wealth to enter into the kingdom of God!"
24 門徒就都驚奇他這句話。耶穌又對他們說：「孩子們! 仗恃錢財的人，進天主的國是多麼難啊!
The disciples were amazed at his words. Jesus looked around and said again to them.
25 駱駝穿過針孔, 比富有的人進天主的國還容易。」
"My sons, how hard it is for those who trust in money to enter the kingdom of God. It is easier for a camel to get through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven."
26 他們就更加驚奇，彼此說：「這樣，誰還能得救﹖」
"Then who can be saved?" they said to themselves astonished beyond measure.
27 耶穌注視他們說：「在人不可能，在天主卻不然，因為在天主，一切都是可能的。」
When he had looked at them, Jesus said, "With men it is impossible, but not with God, for all things are possible with God."
28 伯多祿開口對他說：「看，我們捨棄了一切，而跟隨了你。」
"But we," Peter began to say, "we have left our all and have followed you."
29 耶穌回答說：「我實在告訴你們：人為了我，為了福音，而捨棄了房屋、或兄弟、或姊妹、或母親、或父親、或兒女、或田地，
"I tell you solemnly," said Jesus, "that there is no man who has left house, or brothers, or sisters, or mother, or father, or children, or lands, for my sake and the gospel’s,
31 但有許多在先的，要成為在後的；在後的，要成為在先的。」
But many who are first shall be last, and the last, first."
32 那時，他們在路上，要上耶路撒冷去，耶穌在門徒前頭走，他們都驚奇，跟隨的人也都害。耶穌又把那十二人帶到一邊，開始告訴他們那將要臨到他身上的事：「
They were still on the road going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus led the way; and they were amazed, and some, although they followed, were afraid. Then once more he took the Twelve, and began to tell them what was about to befall him.
33 看，我們上耶路撒冷去，人子要被交於司祭長和經師；他們要定他的死罪，把他交給外邦人；
"See," said he, "we are going up to Jerusalem and the Son of man will be betrayed to the high priests and the Scribes. They will condemn him to death, and will hand him over to the Gentiles,
34 這些人要戲弄他，唾污他，鞭打，他殺害他；但三天以後，他必要復活。」
who will mock him, spit upon him, flog him, and put him to death; and after three days he will rise again."
35 載伯德的兒子雅各伯和若望走到耶穌跟前，對他說：「師傅! 我們願你允許我們的要求!」
Presently there came up to him Jamesand John, the sons of Zebedee, and said, "Teacher, we wish you would do for us whatever we ask you."
36 耶穌對他們說：「你們願意我給你們做什麼﹖」
"What is it you want me to do for you?" said he.
37 他們回答說：「賜我們在你的光榮中，一個坐在你右邊, 一個坐在你左邊。」
They answered, "Allow us to sit, one at your right hand, and the other at your left hand, in your glory."
38 耶穌對他們說：「你們知不知道你們所求的是什麼；你們能飲我的爵嗎﹖或者，你們能受我受的的洗嗎﹖」
"You know not what you are asking," said Jesus. "Can you drink the cup that I drink, or be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?"
39 他們對他說：「我們能。」耶穌就對他們說：「我飲的爵，你們必要飲；我受的洗你們必要受；
They answered him, "We can." "You shall indeed drink the cup that I drink, and with the baptism that I am baptized with shall you be baptized,
40 但坐在我右邊或左邊，不是我可以給的，而是給誰預備了，就給誰。」
but a seat upon my right hand or my left is not mine to grant, but it is for those for whom it has been reserved."
41 那十個聽了，就開始惱怒雅各伯和若望。
When they heard this the ten began to be indignant at Jamesand John, so Jesus called them to him and said.
42 耶穌叫門徒過來，對他們說：「你們知道：在外邦人中，有尊為首領的，主宰他們，有大臣管轄他們；
"You know that those who are regarded as rulers among the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones make them feel their authority.
43 但你們中間卻不可這樣：誰若願意在你們中間成為大的，就當作你們的僕役；
Not so shall it be among you. On the contrary whoever would become great among you shall be your servant;
44 誰若願意在你們中間為首，就當作眾人的奴僕；
and whoever among you would be first, shall be slave of all,
45 因為人子，不是來受服事，而是來服事人，並交出自己的性命，為大眾作贖價。」
and justly, for even the Son of man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life, a ransom for many."
46 他們來到耶里哥。耶穌和他的門徒及一大群人，從耶里哥出來的時候，有一個瞎眼的乞丐，即提買的兒子巴爾提買坐在路旁。
Then they reached Jericho; and as he was leaving Jericho with his disciples and a great crowd, Bartimeus, the son of Timaeus, a blind beggar, was sitting beside the road.
47 他一聽說是納匝肋人耶穌，就喊叫說：「耶穌，達味之子，可憐我罷!」
Hearing that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began shouting and saying, "Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me!"
48 有許多人就斥責他，叫他要作聲；但他越發喊叫說：「達味之子，可憐我罷!」
and many kept rebuking him and telling him to be quiet, but he only shouted much louder, "Son of David, have mercy on me!"
49 耶穌就站住說：「叫他過來!」人就叫那瞎子，給他說：「放心! 起來! 他叫你呢!」
Then Jesus stood still, saying, "Call him." So they called the blind man, and said, "Courage, rise, he is calling you."
50 瞎子就扔下自己的外衣，跳起來，走到耶穌跟前。
The man threw off his cloak, sprang to his feet, and came to Jesus.
51 耶穌對他說：「你願意我給你做什麼﹖」瞎子說：「師傅! 叫我看見!」
"What do you want me to do?" said Jesus, addressing him. And the blind man answered, "O Rabboni, that I might receive my sight!"
52 耶穌對他說：「去罷! 你的信德救了你。」瞎子立刻看了，就在路上跟著耶穌去了。
"Go," said Jesus, "your own faith has saved you," and immediately he received his sight, and began to follow Jesus along the road.
