路加福音 3
1 凱撒提庇留執政第十五年，般雀比拉多作猶太總督，黑落德作分封侯，他的兄弟斐理伯作依突勒雅和特辣曷地方的分封侯，呂撒尼雅作阿彼肋乃分封侯，
In the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, when Pontius Pilate was governor of Judea, and Herod was tetrarch of Galilee, and Philip his brother was tetrarch of the region of Ituraea and Trachonitis, and Lysanias was tetrarch of Abilene,
2 亞納斯和蓋作大司祭時，在荒野中有天主的話，傳給匝加利亞的兒子若翰。
during the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came to John the son of Zechariah in the wilderness.
3 他遂來走遍約旦河一帶地方，宣講悔改的洗禮，為得罪之赦。
He went into all the region around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins,
4 正如依撒意亞先知預言書上記載的：『在荒野中有呼號者的聲音：你們當預備上主的道路，修直祂的途徑! 』
as it is written in the book of the words of the prophet Isaiah, “The voice of one crying out in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord; make his paths straight.
5 一切深谷要填滿，一切山丘岳邱陵要剷平，彎曲的要修直，崎嶇的要開成炟途!
Every valley will be filled, and every mountain and hill will be brought low. The crooked roads will be made straight, and the rough ways will be made smooth.
6 凡有血肉的，都要看見天主的救援。』
And all flesh will see the salvation of God.’”
7 於是，他對那些前來要受他洗禮的群眾說：「毒蛇的種類! 誰指教你們逃避那就要來的忿怒?
John said to the crowds that were coming out to be baptized by him, “You brood of vipers, who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?
8 那麼，結與悔改相稱的果實吧! 你們心裡不要以為：我們有亞巴郎為父。我給你們說：天主能從這些石頭中給亞巴郎興起子孫來。
Produce fruit consistent with repentance, and do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father,’ for I tell you that God is able from these stones to raise up children for Abraham.
9 斧子已放到樹根上了；凡不結好果子的樹，必被砍倒，投入火中。」
Even now the axe is laid to the root of the trees. Every tree therefore that does not produce good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.”
10 群眾向他說：「那麼，失們該作什麼呢?
So the crowds asked him, “What then should we do?”
11 他答覆他們說：「有兩件內衣的，要分給那沒有的；有食物的，也應照樣做。」
John answered them, “Whoever has two tunics must share with him who has none, and whoever has food must do likewise.”
12 稅吏也來受洗，並問說：「師傅，我們該作什麼呢? 」
Some tax collectors also came to be baptized, and they said to him, “Teacher, what should we do?”
13 他向他門說：「除給你們規定的外，不要多徵收! 」
He said to them, “Collect no more than what you have been authorized to collect.”
14 軍人也問說：「我們該作什麼呢? 」他向他門說：「不要勒索人，不要敲詐；對你的糧餉應該知足! 」
Then some soldiers asked him, “And what should we do?” He said to them, “Do not extort money from anyone by threats or false accusations, and be content with your wages.”
15 那時，百姓都在期待(默西亞)，為此人人心中推想：也許若翰就是默西亞。
Now as the people were waiting in expectation and were all questioning in their hearts whether John might be the Christ,
16 若翰便向眾人說道：「我固然以水洗你們，但是比我強的一位要來，就是解祂的鞋帶，我也不配。祂要以聖神和火洗你們。
John answered them all, “I baptize you with water, but one is coming who is mightier than I, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie; he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
17 木欣已放在祂手中，祂要揚淨自己的禾場，把麥粒收在倉內；至於糠秕，卻要用不滅的火焚燒。」
His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will thoroughly clean out his threshing floor and gather the wheat into his barn, but the chaff he will burn up with unquenchable fire.”
18 他還講了許多別的勸言，給百姓傳報喜訊。
With these and many other exhortations John preached good news to the people.
19 分封侯黑落德卻為了自已兄弟的妻子黑落狄雅，並為了本人所作的一切惡事，受了若翰的指謫，
But when John rebuked Herod the tetrarch because of his marriage to Herodias, his brother's wife, and because of all the evils he had done,
20 又在一切的惡事上加了這一件：即把若翰囚在監中。
Herod added this to everything else: He locked John up in prison.
21 眾百姓受洗後，耶穌也受了洗；當祂祈禱時，天開了；
Now when all the people were baptized, and when Jesus had also been baptized and was praying, the heavens were opened,
22 聖神藉著一個形像，如同鴿子，降祂上面；並有聲音從天上說：「你是我的愛子，我因你喜悅。」
and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. Then a voice came from heaven, saying, “Yoʋ are my beloved Son; in yoʋ I am well pleased.”
23 耶穌開始傳教hapi 時候，大約三十歲，人都以祂為若瑟的兒子：若瑟是赫里的兒子，赫是瑪塔特的兒子，
Jesus was about thirty years of age when he began his ministry, being the son (so it was thought) of Joseph, the son of Heli,
24 瑪塔特是肋未的兒子，肋未是默爾希的兒子，默爾希是雅乃的兒子，雅乃是約色夫的兒子，
the son of Matthat, the son of Levi, the son of Melchi, the son of Janna, the son of Joseph,
25 約色夫是瑪塔提雅的兒子，瑪塔提雅是阿摩斯的兒子，阿摩斯是納洪的兒子，納洪是厄斯里的兒子，厄斯里是納革的兒子，
the son of Mattathias, the son of Amos, the son of Nahum, the son of Esli, the son of Naggai,
26 納革是瑪哈特的兒子，瑪哈特是瑪提雅的兒子，瑪特提雅是史米的兒子，史米是約色黑的兒子，約色黑是約達的兒子，
the son of Maath, the son of Mattathias, the son of Semei, the son of Joseph, the son of Judah,
27 約達是約哈南的兒子，約哈南是肋撒的兒子，肋撒是則魯巴貝耳的兒子，則魯巴貝耳是沙耳提耳的兒子，沙耳提耳是乃黎的兒子，
the son of Joanan, the son of Rhesa, the son of Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, the son of Neri,
28 乃黎是默耳希的兒子，默耳希阿狄的兒子，阿狄是科散的兒子，科散是厄耳瑪丹的兒子，厄耳瑪丹是厄爾的兒子，
the son of Melchi, the son of Addi, the son of Cosam, the son of Elmodam, the son of Er,
29 厄爾是耶蘇的兒子，耶蘇是厄里厄則爾的兒子，厄里厄則爾是約楞的兒子，約楞是瑪塔特的兒子，瑪塔特是肋未的兒子，
the son of Jose, the son of Eliezer, the son of Jorim, the son of Matthat, the son of Levi,
30 肋未是西默盎的兒子，西默盎是猶達的兒子，猶達是約色夫的兒子，約色夫是約南的兒子，約南是厄耳雅金的兒子，
the son of Simeon, the son of Judah, the son of Joseph, the son of Jonan, the son of Eliakim,
31 厄耳雅金是默肋阿的兒子，默肋阿是門納的兒子，門納是瑪塔塔的兒子，瑪塔塔是納堂的兒子，納堂是達味的兒子，
the son of Melea, the son of Mainan, the son of Mattatha, the son of Nathan, the son of David,
32 達味是葉瑟的兒子，葉瑟是敖貝得的兒子，敖貝得是波阿次的兒子，波阿次是撒拉的兒子，撒拉是納赫雄的兒子，
the son of Jesse, the son of Obed, the son of Boaz, the son of Salmon, the son of Nahshon,
33 納赫雄是阿米納達的兒子，阿米納達是阿得明的兒子，阿得明是阿爾的兒子，是阿爾是赫茲龍的兒子，赫茲龍是培勒茲的兒子，培勒茲是猶大的兒子，
the son of Amminadab, the son of Ram, the son of Hezron, the son of Perez, the son of Judah,
34 猶大是雅各伯的兒子，雅各伯是依撒格的兒子，依撒格是亞巴郎的兒子，亞巴郎是特辣黑的兒子，特辣黑是納曷爾的兒子，
the son of Jacob, the son of Isaac, the son of Abraham, the son of Terah, the son of Nahor,
35 納曷爾是色魯格的兒子，色魯格是勒伍的兒子，勒伍是培勒格的兒子，培勒格是厄貝爾的兒子，厄貝爾是舍拉的兒子，
the son of Serug, the son of Reu, the son of Peleg, the son of Eber, the son of Shelah,
36 舍拉是刻南的兒子，刻南是阿帕革沙的兒子，阿帕革沙是閃的兒子，閃是諾厄的兒子，諾厄是拉默客的兒子，
the son of Cainan, the son of Arphaxad, the son of Shem, the son of Noah, the son of Lamech,
37 拉默客是默突舍拉的兒子，默突舍拉是哈諾客的兒子，哈諾客是耶勒得的兒子，耶勒得是瑪拉勒耳的兒子，瑪拉勒耳是刻南的兒子，
the son of Methuselah, the son of Enoch, the son of Jared, the son of Mahalaleel, the son of Cainan,
38 刻南是厄諾士的兒子，厄諾士是舍特的兒子，舍特是亞當的兒子，亞當是天主的兒子。
the son of Enosh, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God.
