路加福音 16
1 穌又對門徒們說：「曾有一個富翁，他有一個管家；有人在主人前告發這人揮霍了主人的財物。
And he said also to his disciples, There was a certain rich man, who had a steward; and the same was accused to him that he had wasted his goods.
2 主人便把他叫來，向他說：我怎麼聽說你有這樣的事﹖把你管理家務的賬目交出來，因為你不能再作管家了。
And he called him, and said to him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward.
3 那管家自言自語道：主人要撒去我管家的職務，我可做什麼呢﹖掘地罷，我沒有力氣；討飯罷，我又害羞。
Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; I am ashamed to beg.
4 我知道我要做什麼，好叫人們，在我被撒去管家職務之後，收留我在他的家中。
I am resolved what to do, that, when I am removed from the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.
5 於是，他把主人的債戶一一叫來，給第一個說：你欠我主人多少﹖
So he called every one of his lord’s debtors, and said to the first, How much owest thou to my lord?
6 那人說：一百桶油。管家向他說：拿你的賬單，坐下快寫作五十。
And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said to him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty.
7 隨後，又給另一個說：你欠多少﹖那人說：一百石麥子。管家向他說：拿你的賬單寫作八十。
Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said to him, Take thy bill, and write eighty.
And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light. (aiōn g165)
And I say to you, Make to yourselves friends by the riches of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations. (aiōnios g166)
10 小事上忠信的，在大事上也忠信；在小事上不義的，在大事上也不義。
He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
11 那麼，如果你們在不義的錢財上不忠信，誰還把真實的錢財委託給你們呢﹖
If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous riches, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
12 如果你們在別人的財物上不忠信，誰還把屬於你們的交給你們呢﹖
And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own?
13 沒有一個家僕能事奉兩個主人的：他或是要恨這一個而愛那一個，或是要依附這一個而輕忽那一個：你們不能事奉天主而又事奉錢財。」
No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and riches.
14 愛財的法利賽人聽了這一切話，便嗤笑耶穌。
And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they mocked him.
15 耶穌向他們說：「你們在人前自充義人，但是，天主知道你們的心，因為在人前是崇高的事，在天主前卻是可憎的。
And he said to them, Ye are they who justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
16 法律及先知到若翰為止，從此天主國的喜訊便傳揚開來，人人都應奮勉進入。
The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
17 然而天地過去，比法律的一筆一畫失落，還要容易。
And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away, than one tittle of the law to fail.
18 凡休妻而另娶的，是犯奸淫；那娶人所休的妻子的，也是犯奸淫。」「
Whoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery.
19 有一個富家人，身穿紫紅袍及細麻衣，天天奢華地宴樂。
There was a certain rich man, who was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
20 另有一個乞丐，名叫拉匝祿，滿身瘡痍，躺臥在他的大門前。
And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, who was laid at his gate, full of sores,
21 他指望藉富家人桌上掉下的碎屑充饑，但有狗來舐他的瘡痍。
And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
22 那乞丐死了，天使把他送到亞巴郎的懷抱裏。那個富家人也死了，被人埋葬了。
And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
And in hell he lifted up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. (Hadēs g86)
24 便喊叫說：父親亞巴郎! 可憐我罷! 請打發拉匝祿用他的指頭尖，蘸點水來涼潤我的舌頭，因為我在這火燄中極甚慘苦。
And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
25 亞巴郎說：孩子，你應記得你著的時候，已享盡了你的福，而拉匝祿同樣也受盡了苦。現在，他在這裏受安慰，而你應受苦了。
But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime didst receive thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
26 除此之外，在我們與你們之間，隔著一個巨大的深淵，致使人即便願意，從這邊到你們那邊去也不能，從那邊到我們這邊來也不能。
And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they who would pass from here to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from there.
27 那人說: 父親! 那麼就請你打發拉匝祿到我父家去，
Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house:
28 因為我有五個兄弟，叫他警告他們，免得他們也來到這痛苦的地方。
For I have five brethren; that he may testify to them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
29 亞巴郎說：他們自有梅瑟及先知，聽從他們好了。
Abraham saith to him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
30 他說: 不，父親亞巴郎! 倘若有人從者中到了他們那裏，他們必會悔改。
And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went to them from the dead, they will repent.
31 亞巴郎給他說：如果他們不聽從梅瑟及先知，縱使有人從死者中復活了，他們也必不信服。」
And he said to him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
