約翰福音 6
1 這些事以後，耶穌往加里肋亞海，即提庇黎雅海的對岸去了。
After these things, Yeshua went away to the other side of the lake of Galila, which is also called Lake Tiberias.
2 大批群眾，因為看見他在患病者身上所行的神跡，都跟隨著他。
A large crowd followed him, because they saw the signs which he did on those who were sick.
3 耶穌上了山，和他的門徒一起坐在那裡。
Yeshua went up into the mountain, and he sat there with his disciples.
4 那時，猶太人的慶節，即逾越節，已臨近了。
Now the Passover, the Jewish festival, was near.
5 耶穌舉目看見大批群眾來到他前，就對斐理伯說：「我們從那裏買餅給這些人吃呢？」
Yeshua therefore lifting up his eyes, and seeing that a large crowd was coming to him, said to Philipus, "Where are we to buy bread, that these may eat?"
6 他說這話，是為試探斐理伯；他自己原知道要做什麼。
This he said to test him, for he himself knew what he would do.
7 斐理伯回答說: 「就是二百塊「德納」的餅，也不夠每人分得一小塊。」
Philipus answered him, "Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that everyone of them may receive a little."
8 有一個門徒，即西滿伯多祿的哥哥安德肋說：「
One of his disciples, Andreus, Shimon Kipha's brother, said to him,
9 這裏有一個兒童，他有五個大麥餅和兩條魚；但是為這麼多的人，這算得什麼？」
"There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are these among so many?"
10 耶穌說: 「你們叫眾人坐下罷! 」在那地方有許多青草，於是人們便坐下，男人約有五千。
Yeshua said, "Have the people sit down." Now there was much grass in that place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.
11 耶穌就拿起餅，祝謝後，分給坐下的人；對於魚也照樣作了；讓眾人任意吃。
Yeshua took the loaves; and having given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to those who were sitting down; likewise also of the fish as much as they desired.
12 他們吃飽以後，耶穌向門徒說: 「把剩下的碎塊收集起來，免得糟蹋了。」
When they were filled, he said to his disciples, "Gather up the broken pieces which are left over, that nothing be lost."
13 他們就把人吃後所剩的五個大麥餅的碎塊，收集起來，裝滿了十二筐。
So they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with broken pieces from the five barley loaves, which were left over by those who had eaten.
14 眾人見了耶穌所行的神跡，就說: 「這人確實是那要來到世界上的先知。」
When therefore the people saw the sign which he did, they said, "This is truly the Prophet who comes into the world."
15 耶穌看出他們要來強迫他，立他為王，就獨自又退避到山裏去了。
Yeshua therefore, perceiving that they were about to come and take him by force, to make him king, withdrew again to the mountain by himself.
16 到了晚上，他的門徒下到海邊，
When evening came, his disciples went down to the lake,
17 上船要到對岸的葛法翁去。天已黑了，耶穌還沒有有來到他們那裡。
and they entered into the boat, and were going over the lake to Kepharnakhum. It was now dark, and Yeshua had not yet come to them.
18 海上因起了大風，便翻騰起來。
The lake was tossed by a great wind blowing.
19 當他們搖櫓大約過了二十五或三十「斯塔狄」時，看見耶穌在海面行走，臨近了船，便害怕起來。
When therefore they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Yeshua walking on the lake, and drawing near to the boat; and they were afraid.
20 但他卻向他們說: 「是我，不要害怕！」
But he said to them, "It is I. Do not be afraid."
21 他們便欣然接他上船，船就立時到了他們所要去的地方。
They were willing therefore to receive him into the boat. Immediately the boat was at the land where they were going.
22 第二天，留在海對岸的群眾，看見只有一隻小船留在那裡也知道耶穌沒有同他的門徒一起上船，只有他的門徒走了──
On the next day, the crowd that stood on the other side of the lake saw that there was no other boat there, except one, and that Yeshua had not entered with his disciples into the boat, but his disciples had gone away alone.
23 然而從提庇黎雅有別的小船來到了，靠近吾主祝謝後，人們吃餅的地方──
Other boats from Tiberias came near to the place where they ate the bread after the Lord had given thanks.
24 當群眾一發覺耶穌和他的門徒都不在那裡時，他們便上了那些小船，往葛法翁找耶穌去了。
When the crowd therefore saw that Yeshua was not there, nor his disciples, they themselves got into the boats, and came to Kepharnakhum, seeking Yeshua.
25 當群眾在海對岸找著他時，就對他說: 「辣彼，你什麼時候到了這裏？」
When they found him on the other side of the lake, they asked him, "Rabbi, when did you come here?"
26 耶穌回答說: 「我實實在在告訴你們: 你們尋找我，並不是因為看到了神跡，而是因為吃餅吃飽了。
Yeshua answered them, "Truly, truly, I tell you, you seek me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate of the loaves, and were filled.
Do not work for the food which perishes, but for the food which remains to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For God the Father has sealed him." (aiōnios g166)
28 他們問說: 「我們該做什麼，才算做天主的事業呢？」
They said therefore to him, "What must we do, that we may work the works of God?"
29 耶穌回答說: 「天主要你們所做的事業，就是要你們信任他所派遣來的。」
Yeshua answered them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent."
30 他們又說: 「那麼，你行什麼神跡給我們看，好叫我們信服你呢？你要行什麼事呢？
They said therefore to him, "What then do you do for a sign, that we may see, and believe you? What work do you do?
31 我們的祖先在曠野裏吃過「瑪納」，正如經上所記載的：「他從天上賜給了他們食物吃。』
Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness. As it is written, 'He gave them bread out of heaven to eat.'"
32 於是耶穌向他們說: 「我實實在在告訴你們: 並不是梅瑟賜給了你們那從天上來的食糧，而是我父現今賜給你們從天上來的真正的食糧，
Yeshua therefore said to them, "Truly, truly, I tell you, it was not Mushe who gave you the bread out of heaven, but my Father gives you the true bread out of heaven.
33 因為天主的食糧，是那由天降下，並賜給世界生命的。」
For the bread of God is that which comes down out of heaven, and gives life to the world."
34 他們便說: 「主! 你就把這樣的食糧常常賜給我們罷! 」
They said therefore to him, "Lord, always give us this bread."
35 耶穌回答說：「我就是生命的食糧，到我這裏來的，永不會饑餓；信從我的，總不會渴。
Yeshua said to them, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will not be hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.
36 但是我向你們說過: 你們看見了我，仍然不信。
But I told you that you have seen me, and yet you do not believe.
37 凡父交給我的，必到我這裏來；而到我這裏來的，我必不把他拋棄於外，
All those whom the Father gives me will come to me. Him who comes to me I will in no way throw out.
38 因為我從天降下，不是為執行我的旨意。
For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me.
39 派遣我來者的旨意就是：凡他交給我的，叫我連一個也不失掉，而且在末日還要使他復活，
This is the will of him who sent me, that of all he has given to me I should lose nothing, but should raise him up at the last day.
This is the will of my Father, that everyone who sees the Son, and believes in him, should have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day." (aiōnios g166)
41 猶太人遂對耶穌竊竊私議，因為他說: 我是從天上降下來的食糧。
The Jewish people therefore murmured concerning him, because he said, "I am the bread which came down out of heaven."
42 他們說：「這人不是若瑟的兒子耶穌麼? 他的父親和母親，我們豈不是都認識麼？ 怎麼他竟說: 我是從天上降下來的呢？」
They said, "Is not this Yeshua, the son of Yauseph, whose father and mother we know? How then does he say, 'I have come down out of heaven?'"
43 耶穌回答說: 「你們不要彼此竊竊私議!
Therefore Yeshua answered them, "Do not murmur among yourselves.
44 凡不是派遣我的父所吸引的人，誰也不能到我這裏來，而我在末日要叫他復活。
No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day.
45 在先知書上記載: 『眾人都要蒙天主的訓誨。』凡由父聽教而學習的，必到我這裏來。
It is written in the Prophets, 'And they will all be taught by God.' Therefore everyone who hears and learns from the Father comes to me.
46 這不是說有人看見過父，只有那從天主來的，才看見過父。
Not that anyone has seen the Father, except he who is from God. He has seen the Father.
Truly, truly, I tell you, he who believes has everlasting life. (aiōnios g166)
48 我是生命的食糧。
I am the bread of life.
49 你們的祖先在曠野中吃過「瑪納」，卻死了；
Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died.
50 這是從天上降下來的食糧，誰吃了，就不死。
This is the bread which comes down out of heaven, that anyone may eat of it and not die.
I am the living bread which came down out of heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread which I will give for the life of the world is my flesh." (aiōn g165)
52 因此，猶太人彼此爭論說: 「這人怎能把他的肉，賜給我們吃呢？」
The Jews therefore argued with one another, saying, "How can this one give us flesh to eat?"
53 耶穌向他們說：「我實實在在告訴你們：你們若不吃人子的肉，不喝他的血，在你們內便沒有生命。
Yeshua therefore said to them, "Truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life in yourselves.
He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has everlasting life, and I will raise him up at the last day. (aiōnios g166)
55 因為我的肉，是真實的食品；我的血，是真實的飲料。
For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
56 誰吃我的肉，並喝我的血，便住在我內，我也住在他內。
He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood lives in me, and I in him.
57 就如那生活的父派遣了我，我因父而生活；照樣，那吃我的人，也要因我而生活。
As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father; so he who feeds on me, he will also live because of me.
This is the bread which came down out of heaven--not as the fathers ate, and died. He who eats this bread will live forever." (aiōn g165)
59 這些話是耶穌在葛法翁會堂教訓人時說的。
He said these things in the synagogue, as he taught in Kepharnakhum.
60 他的門徒中有許多聽了，便說: 「這話生硬，有誰能聽得下去呢？」
Therefore many of his disciples, when they heard this, said, "This is a hard saying. Who can listen to it?"
61 耶穌自佑他的門徒對這話竊竊私議，便向他們說: 「這話使你們起反感嗎？
But Yeshua knowing in himself that his disciples murmured at this, said to them, "Does this cause you to stumble?
62 那麼，如果你們看到人子昇到他先前所在的地方去，將怎樣呢？
Then what if you would see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?
63 使生活的是神，肉一無所用；我給你們所講論的話，就是神，就生命。
It is the Spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and are life.
64 但你們中間有些人，卻不相信。」原來，耶穌從起頭就知道那些人不信，和誰要出賣他。
But there are some of you who do not believe." For Yeshua knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray him.
65 所以他又說: 「為此，我對你們說過: 除非蒙父恩賜的，誰也不能到我這裏來。」
He said, "For this cause have I said to you that no one can come to me, unless it is given to him by the Father."
66 從此，他的門徒中有許多人退去了，不再同他往來。
At this, many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
67 於是耶穌向那十二人說: 「難道你們也願走嗎？」
Yeshua said therefore to the twelve, "You do not also want to go away, do you?"
Shimon Kipha answered him, "Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of everlasting life. (aiōnios g166)
69 我們相信，而且己知道你是天主的聖者。」
We have come to believe and know that you are the Holy One of God."
70 耶穌對他們說: 「我不是揀選了你們十二個人嗎？你們中卻有一個是魔鬼。」
Yeshua answered them, "Did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?"
71 他是指依斯加略人西滿的兒子猶達斯說的；因為就是這人，十二人中的一個，將要出賣耶穌。
Now he spoke of Yehudah, the son of Shimon Sekariuta, for it was he who would betray him, being one of the twelve.
