約翰福音 12
1 越節前六天，耶穌來到伯達尼，就是耶穌從死者中喚起納匝祿的地方。
Then, six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was (the deceased whom He raised from the dead).
2 有人在那裡為他擺設了晚宴，瑪爾大伺候，而納匝祿也是和耶穌一起坐席的一位。
So they gave a dinner for Him there—Martha was serving, while Lazarus was one of those reclining at the table with Him.
3 那時，瑪利亞拿了一斤極珍貴的純「拿爾多」香液，敷抹了耶穌的腳，並用自己的頭髮擦乾，屋裏便充滿了香液的氣味。
Then Mary, bringing a pound of pure oil of nard, very costly, anointed Jesus' feet, and wiped His feet with her hair! And the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil.
4 那要負賣耶穌的依斯加略猶達斯──即他的一個門徒──便說:
Then one of His disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son (who was about to betray Him), said,
5 「為什麼不把這香液去賣三白塊「德納」，施捨給窮人呢？」
“Why wasn't this oil sold for 300 denarii and given to the poor?”
6 他說這話，並不是因為他關心窮人，只因為他是個賊，掌管錢囊，常偷取其中所存放的。
(Now he did not say this because the poor mattered to him, but because he was a thief and had the money box; and used to pilfer what was put in it.)
7 耶穌就說: 「由她罷！這原是她我安葬之日而保存的。
So Jesus said: “Let her be; she has performed this with a view to my burial.
8 你們常有窮人和你們在一起；至於我，你們卻不常。」
For you always have the poor with you, but you do not always have me.”
9 有許多猶太人聽說耶穌在那裏，就來了，不但是為耶穌，也是為看他從死者中所喚起的拉匝祿。
Then a large crowd of the Jews learned that He was there; and they came, not only because of Jesus but also to see Lazarus, whom He had raised from the dead.
10 為此，司祭長議決連拉匝祿也要殺掉，
So the chief priests decided to kill Lazarus as well,
11 因為有許多猶太人為了拉匝祿的緣故，離開他們，而信從了耶穌。
in that because of him many of the Jews were defecting and believing into Jesus.
12 第二天來過節的群眾，聽說耶穌來到耶路撒冷，
The next day a large crowd that had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming into Jerusalem,
13 便拿了棕櫚枝，出去迎接他，喊說: 「賀三納！因上主之名而來的，以色列的君王應受稱頌。」
took branches from palm trees and went out to meet Him. And they started shouting: “Hosanna!” “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” “King of Israel!”
14 耶穌找了一匹小驢，就騎上去，正如經上所記載的:
And finding a young donkey Jesus sat on it; just as it is written:
15 「熙雍女子，不要害怕! 你的君王騎著驢駒來了! 」
“Fear no more, daughter of Zion. Look, your King is coming, sitting on a donkey's colt!”
16 起初他的門徒也沒明白有這些事，然而，當耶穌受光榮以後，他們才想起這些話是指著他而記載的。為此，他們就這樣對他做了。
(Now His disciples did not understand these things at first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written about Him, and they had done them to Him.)
17 當耶穌叫拉匝祿從墳墓中出來，由死者中喚起他時，那時同他在一起的眾人，都為所見的作證；
So the crowd that had been with Him when He called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to testify.
18 因此，有一群人去迎接他，因為他們聽說他行了這個神跡；
That is also why the crowd met Him, because they heard that He had performed this sign.
19 於是法利賽人便彼此說: 「看，你們一無所成！瞧，全世界都跟他去了。」
So the Pharisees said among themselves: “You can see that you are not making any difference! Just look, the world has gone off after Him!”
20 在那些上來過節，崇拜天主的人中，有些希臘人。
Now there were some Greeks among those who went up to worship at the feast.
21 他們來到加利肋亞貝特賽達人斐理伯前，請求他說: 「先生！ 我們願拜見耶穌。」
So these men approached Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and requested of him saying, “Sir, we want to see Jesus.”
22 斐理伯就去告訴安德肋，然後安德肋和斐理伯便來告訴耶穌。
Philip goes and tells Andrew, and in turn Andrew and Philip tell Jesus.
23 耶穌開口向他們說: 「人子要受光榮的時辰到了。
But Jesus answered them saying: “The hour has come for the Son of the Man to be glorified.
24 我實實在在告訴你們：一粒麥子如果不落在地裏死了，仍只是一粒；如果死了，才結出許多子粒來。
Most assuredly I say to you, if a grain of wheat, having fallen into the ground, does not die, it remains alone; but if it dies it bears a lot of fruit.
The one ‘loving’ his life will waste it, and the one ‘hating’ his life, in this world, will preserve it into eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
26 誰若事奉我，就當跟隨我；如此，我在那裡，我的僕人也要在那裡；誰若事奉我，我父必要尊重他。
If anyone would serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, my servant will be too. Further, if anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.
27 現在我心神煩亂，我可說什麼呢？我說: 父啊！救我脫離這時辰罷？但正是為此，我才到了這時辰。
“Now my soul is distressed, and what should I say—‘Father, rescue me from this hour’? But this is why I came to this hour—
28 父啊！光榮你的名罷! 」當時有聲音來自天上： 「我已光榮了我的名，我還要光榮。」
‘Father, glorify your name!’” Then a Voice came out of Heaven, “I have both glorified it and will glorify it again!”
29 在場聽見的群眾，便說: 「這是打雷。」另有人說: 「是天使同他說話。」
So the crowd that was standing by and listening said that it had thundered. Others said, “An angel has spoken to Him.”
30 耶穌回答說: 「這聲音不是為我而來，而是為你們。
Jesus answered and said: “It was not for my sake that this Voice came, but for your sakes.
31 現在就是這世界應受審判的時候，現這世界的元首就要被趕出去；
Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be thrown out.
32 至於我，當我從地上被舉起來時，便要吸引眾人來歸向我。」
While I, if I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all people to myself.”
33 他說這話，是要表明他要以怎樣的死而死。
(Now He said this to indicate by what kind of death He was about to die.)
The people answered Him: “We have heard from the Law that the Messiah remains forever; and so how can you say, ‘The Son of the Man must be lifted up’? Who is this ‘the Son of the Man’?” (aiōn g165)
35 耶穌遂給他們說：「光在你們中間還有片刻。你們趁著還有光的時候，應該行走，免得黑暗籠罩了你們。那在黑暗中行走的，不知道往那裏去。
Then Jesus said to them: “The Light will be with you just a little longer. Walk while you have the light, so that darkness does not overtake you; the one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going.
36 幾時你們還有光，應當信從光，好成為光明之子。」耶穌講完了這些話，就躲開他們隱藏去了。
While you have the Light, believe into the Light, so that you may become sons of light.” Jesus said these things, and going away He was hidden from them.
37 耶穌雖然在他們面前行了這麼多的神跡，他們仍然不信不他；
Although He had performed so many signs in their presence, they were not believing into Him;
38 這正應驗了依撒意亞先知所說的話: 『上主! 有誰會相信我們的報道呢？上主的手臂又向誰顯示了出來呢？』
so that the word spoken by Isaiah the prophet should be fulfilled: “Lord, who has believed what we heard? And to whom has the arm of the Lord really been revealed?”
39 他們不能信，因為依撒意亞又說過:
Therefore they were unable to believe, in that Isaiah said again:
40 『上主使他們瞎了眼，使他們硬了心，免得他們眼睛看見，心裏覺悟而悔改，使我治好他們。』
“He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, lest they should see with their eyes and understand with their hearts and should turn around, and I would heal them.”
41 依撒意亞因為看見了他的光榮，所以指著講了這話。
Isaiah said these things when he saw His glory and spoke concerning Him.
42 事雖如此，但在首領中，仍有許多人信從了耶穌，只為了法利賽人而不敢明認，免得被逐出會堂，
Nevertheless, even among the rulers many believed into Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, so they would not be expelled from the synagogue;
43 因為他們喜愛世人的光榮，勝過天主的光榮。
for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
44 耶穌說: 「信我的，不是信我，而是信那派遣我來的；
Jesus called out and said: “The one believing into me believes not into me but into Him who sent me.
45 看見我的，也就是看見那派遣我來的。
And the one seeing me sees Him who sent me.
46 我身為光明，來到了世界上，使凡信我的，不留在黑暗中。
I, Light, have come into the world so that everyone who believes into me will not remain in the darkness.
47 無論誰，若聽我的話而不遵行，我不審判他，因為我不是為審判世界而來，乃是為拯救世界。
Also, if someone hears my words and does not believe, I do not judge him; because I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.
48 拒絕我，及不接受我話的，自有審判他的: 就是我所說的話，要在末日審判他。
The one who rejects me and does not receive my sayings has that which judges him—the word that I have spoken, that is what will judge him on the last day;
49 因為我沒有憑我自己說話，而是派遣我來的父，他給我出了命，叫我該說什麼，該講什麼。
because I have not spoken on my own, but the Father who sent me, He gave me a command, what I should say and what I should speak.
