約伯記 26
1 約伯回答說：
But Job answered and said,
2 無能為力的人，你怎樣援助了他﹖無力的手臂，你怎樣支持了他﹖
How have you helped him that is without power? how save you the arm that has no strength?
3 你給無知的人出過什麼主義，表現了你豐富的智慧﹖
How have you counceled him that has no wisdom? and how have you plentifully declared the thing as it is?
4 你說這些話是指教誰﹖從你心裏發出的是什麼精神﹖
To whom have you uttered words? and whose spirit came from you?
5 幽魂在地下打顫，海底與居於海底的，驚恐不已。
Dead things are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof.
Hell is naked before him, and destruction has no covering. (Sheol h7585)
7 他將北極伸張到太虛，將大地懸於虛無之上。
He stretches out the north over the empty place, and hangs the earth on nothing.
8 他將水包裹在濃雲中，托水的雲彩卻不破裂。
He binds up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them.
9 他遮蔽了滿月的面貌，使雲彩散佈其上。
He holds back the face of his throne, and spreads his cloud on it.
10 在水面上劃了一圓圈，當作光明與黑暗的分界。
He has compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.
11 支天的柱子震動，因他的呵叱而戰慄。
The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.
12 他以威力使海洋動盪，以明智擊傷了海怪。
He divides the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smites through the proud.
13 他一噓氣，天氣清朗；他親手戮穿了飛龍。
By his spirit he has garnished the heavens; his hand has formed the crooked serpent.
14 看啊! 這只是他行動的一端，我們所聽到的語句，何其細微! 他轟轟烈烈的作為，有誰能明瞭﹖
See, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?
