耶利米書 47

1 在法郎尚未進攻迦薩以前，關於培肋舍特，上主有話傳給耶肋米亞先知說：

2 上主這樣說：「看，有水從北方湧來，形成一條氾濫的河流，淹沒大地和地上的一切，首都和其中的居民；人們必要喊叫，大地所有的居民必要哀號。

3 一聽到他駿馬的鐵蹄聲，轔轔的戰車聲，和隆隆的飛輪聲，為父親的已束手無策，不能再顧及自己的兒子，

4 因為消滅一切培肋舍特人，和摧毀提洛及漆冬一切殘餘助手的日子來到了，上主要消滅培肋舍特人，加非托爾島的遺民

5 迦薩已一片荒涼，阿市刻隆已遭受滅亡；阿納克人的遺民，你們要割傷己身到何時呢﹖

6 唉! 上主的刀劍! 到何時纔休息﹖請你入鞘休息安歇罷!

7 但上主既對它出了命，它怎能休息﹖阿市刻隆和海濱，是他給它指向的地方。
