以西結書 24
1 九年十月十日，上主的話傳給我說：「
Moreover, the word of Jehovah came to me in the ninth year, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, and said:
2 人子，你要記下今天的日期，就是在今天這一日，巴比倫王開始圍困耶路撒冷。
Son of man, write the name of the day, even of this same day. The king of Babylon draweth near to Jerusalem this same day.
3 你要向叛逆的家族講一個寓言，給他們說：吾主上主這樣說：你要安放一口鍋，安好後，裏面倒上水，
Utter a parable to the rebellious house, and say to them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Set on a caldron, set it on, and also pour water into it.
4 把肉塊、後腿和肩上的好肉放到鍋裏，用最好的骨頭填滿，
Gather the pieces thereof into it, even every good piece, the thigh and the shoulder; fill it with the choice bones.
5 再放上最好的羊肉，然後在鍋下堆起木柴，烹煮肉塊，連其中的骨頭也煮爛。
Take the choice of the flock, and make under it a pile for the bones, and make it boil well, that the bones therein may be seethed.
6 因此吾主上主這樣說：負血債的城，有銹而銹不退的鍋，是有禍的! 從鍋中一塊一塊地取出來，不必拈鬮。
Wherefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Woe to the city of blood, to the caldron in which is rust, and whose rust goeth not out of it! bring it out piece by piece; let no lot fall upon it.
7 因為在其中所流的血，是流在光滑的石崖上，而沒有流在土中，用塵土掩蓋；
For blood is in the midst of her; upon the bare rock hath she shed it; she poured it not upon the ground, that it might be covered with dust.
8 為的是激起我的憤怒，施行報復，所以我也使她的血流在光滑的石頭上，不得掩蓋。
To cause fury and to take vengeance, I have set the blood shed by her upon the bare rock, that it might not be covered.
9 因此吾主上主這樣說：負血債的城是有禍的! 我要親自使火堆擴大。
Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Woe to the city of blood! Now will I make the pile for fire great.
10 你再加添木柴，點上火，把肉塊煮化，把湯熬乾，把骨頭烤焦；
Heap on wood, kindle the fire, cook the flesh, put in spices, and let the bones be burned.
11 然後把空鍋放在火炭上燒熱，把銅燒紅，把其中的污穢燒淨，把鍋銹燒盡。
Then set it empty upon the coals, that its brass may be hot and may burn, and that its impurity may be dissolved in it, and its rust be consumed.
12 但因鍋銹過多，雖用盡氣力，火也燒不掉。
It hath wearied me with labors, yet its thick rust goeth not from it; its rust remaineth in the midst of the fire.
13 這就是你淫行的污穢，我原設法使你潔淨，你卻不願意潔淨；那麼，直到我在你身上來洩盡我的憤怒，你的污穢得不到潔淨。
In thy filthiness is gross wickedness, because, when I would have cleansed thee, thou wouldst not be cleansed. Thou shalt not be cleansed from thy filthiness any more, till I have quieted my fury toward thee.
14 我上主言出必行，決不退縮，決不憐恤，決不翻悔。我必照你的行徑，照你的行為審判你──吾主上主的斷語。」
I, Jehovah, have spoken it; it shall come to pass, and I will do it. I will not go back, neither will I spare, neither will I repent. According to thy ways and according to thy doings shall they judge thee, saith the Lord Jehovah.
15 上主的話傳給我說：「
Also the word of Jehovah came to me, saying:
16 人子，看，我要把你眼中所喜悅的猝然奪去，但你不可哀悼，不可哭泣，不可流淚，
Son of man, behold, I take away from thee the desire of thine eyes with one blow; yet thou shalt not mourn, nor weep, nor shall thy tears run down.
17 只可默默歎息，卻不可哀悼死者。頭上仍纏著頭巾，腳上仍穿著鞋，不可遮蓋鬍鬚，也不可吃喪食。」
Sigh thou in silence, make no mourning for the dead; bind thy head-dress upon thee, and thy shoes on thy feet; cover not thy lips, and eat not the bread of wretched men.
18 早晨我向百姓講了這事，晚上我的妻子便死了；次日早晨我便照吩咐給我的作了。
So I spake to the people in the morning, and my wife died in the evening; and I did in the morning as I was commanded.
19 百姓問我說：「你能不能告訴我們：你這樣作對我們有什麼意思﹖」
And the people said to me, Wilt thou not tell us what those things which thou doest denote to us?
20 我回答他們說：「上主的話傳給我說：
Then I answered them: The word of Jehovah came to me and said:
21 你要告訴以色列家族：吾主上主這樣說：看，我要把我的聖所，即你們所誇耀的勢力，眼目所喜愛，心靈所繫戀的地方，加以褻瀆，你們所遺留下的子女要死於刀下。
Say to the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the pride of your confidence, the desire of your eyes, and the longing of your souls; and your sons and daughters that are left to you shall fall by the sword.
22 那時你們要作我所作的：不遮蓋你們的鬍鬚，不吃喪食，
And ye shall do as I have done; ye shall not cover your mouths, nor eat the bread of wretched men;
23 你們的頭仍纏著頭巾，腳仍穿著鞋，不舉哀，不哭泣，但因你們的罪惡而消沉，而彼此傷歎。
and your head-dresses shall be upon your heads, and your shoes upon your feet; ye shall not mourn nor weep; but ye shall pine away for your iniquities, and moan one to another.
24 厄則克耳為你們是一個預兆：當那事來到時，你們要照他所作的去作。那時你們必承認我是上主。」「
Thus Ezekiel shall be to you a sign; according to all that he hath done shall ye do, when this cometh; and ye shall know that I am the Lord Jehovah.
25 人子，在我從他們中取去他們的堡壘，即他們所誇耀的喜樂，眼目所喜愛，心靈所繫戀的子女的那一天，
And thou, son of man, behold, in the day when I take from them their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire of their eyes, and the longing of their souls, their sons and their daughters, in that day shall one
26 那天必有一個逃難的來到你這裏，報告你這消息。
that is escaped come to thee, to cause thee to hear it with thine ears.
27 在那一天你要向那逃難的開口說話，不再作啞吧。這樣，你為他們是一個預兆，那時他們將承認我是上主。」
In that day shall thy mouth be opened to him that is escaped, and thou shalt speak, and be no more dumb; and thou shalt be a sign to them, and they shall know that I am Jehovah.
