出埃及記 7
1 上主向梅瑟說：「看，我使你在法朗前像神一樣，你的哥哥亞郎將作你的代言人。
And Jehovah said to Moses, See, I have made thee God to Pharaoh; and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.
2 凡我吩咐你的一切，你要告訴你的哥哥亞郎，要他對法朗講話，叫他放以色列子民離開他的國境。
Thou shalt speak all that I command thee; and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land.
3 我卻要使法朗心硬，為此在埃及國要增多我的奇蹟和異事。
And I will render Pharaoh's heart obdurate, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.
4 因法朗布聽從你們，我要向埃及伸手，藉嚴厲的懲罰，將我的軍隊，我的百姓以色列子民，從埃及國領出來。
And Pharaoh will not hearken unto you; and I will lay my hand upon Egypt, and bring forth my hosts, my people, the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.
5 當我向埃及人伸手，將以色列子民從埃及人中間領出來的時候，他們要承認我是上主。」
And the Egyptians shall know that I am Jehovah, when I stretch forth my hand on Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.
6 梅瑟和亞郎就受命行事；上主怎樣吩咐他們，他們就怎樣行了。
And Moses and Aaron did as Jehovah had commanded them: so did they.
7 當他們去與法朗會談的時候，梅瑟八十歲，亞郎八十三歲。
And Moses was eighty years old, and Aaron was eighty-three years old, when they spoke to Pharaoh.
8 上主對梅瑟和亞郎說：「
And Jehovah spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,
9 如果法朗要求你們說：你們顯個奇蹟，給你們作證罷! 你就吩咐亞郎說：將你的棍杖扔在法朗的面前，棍杖就會變成一條蛇。」
When Pharaoh shall speak to you, saying, Do a miracle for yourselves, — then thou shalt say unto Aaron, Take thy staff and cast [it] before Pharaoh — it will become a serpent.
10 梅瑟和亞郎就去見法朗，照上主的吩咐做了：亞郎將棍杖扔在法朗和他的臣僕面前，棍杖就變成了一條蛇。
And Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and did so, as Jehovah had commanded; and Aaron cast down his staff before Pharaoh, and before his bondmen, and it became a serpent.
11 法朗將他的智者和術士召來，這些埃及的巫士也用他們的巫術作了同樣的事：
And Pharaoh also called the sages and the sorcerers; and they too, the scribes of Egypt, did so with their enchantments:
12 他們每人扔下自己的棍杖，也都變成了蛇，但亞郎的棍杖卻吞了他們的棍杖。
they cast down every man his staff, and they became serpents; but Aaron's staff swallowed up their staves.
13 法朗仍然心硬，不肯聽他們的話，正如上主所說。第一災、水變血
And Pharaoh's heart was stubborn, and he hearkened not to them, as Jehovah had said.
14 上主對梅瑟說：「法朗硬了心，拒絕釋放百姓。
And Jehovah said to Moses, Pharaoh's heart is hardened: he refuseth to let the people go.
15 明天早晨你去見法朗。他去水邊時候，你要站在尼羅河邊迎住他；手中拿著那根變過蛇的棍杖。
Go unto Pharaoh in the morning — behold, he will go out unto the water — and take thy stand by the bank of the river in front of him; and take in thy hand the staff that was turned into a serpent.
16 你對他說：上主，希伯來人的天主打發我來見你說：你應放我的百姓到曠野中去崇拜我；彈道現在你仍沒有聽從。
And say unto him, Jehovah the God of the Hebrews has sent me to thee, saying, Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness; but behold, hitherto thou hast not hearkened.
17 上主這樣說：看，我要用我手中拿的棍杖擊打河水，水就變成血，如此你必承認，我是上主。
Thus saith Jehovah: In this shalt thou know that I am Jehovah — behold, I will smite with the staff that is in my hand upon the water which is in the river, and it shall be turned into blood.
18 河中的魚都要死，河水都要腥臭，埃及人不能再喝河中的水。」
And the fish that is in the river shall die; and the river shall stink; and the Egyptians shall loathe to drink the water out of the river.
19 上主對梅瑟說：「你向亞郎說：拿起你的棍杖，將手伸在埃及的水上，即伸在河、溝渠、池沼和一切水塘之上，水都要變成血；如此埃及全國，連木器石器中的水野都要變成血。」
And Jehovah said to Moses, Say unto Aaron, Take thy staff, and stretch out thy hand upon the waters of the Egyptians — upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their reservoirs of water, that they may become blood; and there shall be blood throughout the land of Egypt, both in [vessels of] wood and in [vessels of] stone.
20 梅瑟和亞郎就照了上主的吩咐作了：亞郎在法朗和他臣僕的面前，舉起棍杖一打河水，所有的河水變成了血；
And Moses and Aaron did so, as Jehovah had commanded; and he lifted up the staff, and smote the waters that were in the river before the eyes of Pharaoh, and before the eyes of his bondmen; and all the waters that were in the river were turned into blood.
21 河中的魚都死了，河水都腥臭不堪，埃及人不能再喝河中的水；埃及遍地是血。
And the fish that was in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink the water of the river; and the blood was throughout the land of Egypt.
22 埃及的巫士用他們的巫術也行了同樣的事，因此法朗仍舊心硬，不肯聽信梅瑟和亞郎，正像上主所說的。
And the scribes of Egypt did so with their sorceries; and Pharaoh's heart was stubborn, neither did he hearken to them, as Jehovah had said.
23 法朗轉身回到宮中，沒有把事放在心上。
And Pharaoh turned and went into his house, and took not this to heart either.
24 因為全埃及的人不能喝河中的水，便在河的附近掘水喝。第二災、蝦蟆
And all the Egyptians dug round about the river for water to drink; for they could not drink of the water of the river.
25 上主擊打河水後，滿了七天，
And seven days were fulfilled, after Jehovah had smitten the river.
