出埃及記 40
1 上主訓示梅瑟說：「
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
2 正月初一，你要豎立會幕的帳棚。
“In the first month, on the first day of the month, you shall raise the tabernacle of the testimony,
3 把約櫃安放在裏面，用帷幔將約櫃遮起。
and you shall place the ark in it, and you shall release the veil before it.
4 把供桌搬進，擺上當供之物；把燈台搬進，安放上燈盞。
And having brought in the table, you shall place the things which were solemnly commanded upon it. The lampstand shall stand with its lamps,
5 把焚香的金壇安放在約櫃前邊，懸上帳棚的門簾。
and the altar of gold, in which the incense is burned, shall stand before the ark of the testimony. You shall place the tent at the entrance of the tabernacle,
6 把全燔祭壇安置在會幕門口，
and before it, the altar of holocaust.
7 把盆安置在會幕和祭壇之中，盆裏放上水。
The washtub shall stand between the altar and the tabernacle, and you shall fill it with water.
8 隨後豎立庭院四周的帷幔，懸上庭院的門簾。
And you shall encompass the atrium and its entrance with hangings.
9 以後拿傅禮的油，給帳棚和其中的一切器具傅油，祝聖帳棚和其中的一切器具，使之成為聖物：
And, having taken up the oil of unction, you shall anoint the tabernacle along with its articles, so that they may be sanctified.
10 即給全燔祭及其一切用具傅油，祝聖祭壇，使之成為至聖的；
The altar of holocaust and all its vessels,
11 給盆和盆座傅油，使之成聖。
the washtub with its base, and all things, you shall consecrate with the oil of unction, so that they may be the Holy of holies.
12 以後叫亞郎和他的兒子們來近會幕門口，用水洗他們。
And you shall bring forward Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the tabernacle of the testimony, and, having washed them with water,
13 給亞郎穿上聖衣，給他傅油，祝聖他作我的司祭。
14 再叫他的兒子們前來，給他們穿上長衣，
15 像給他們的父親傅油一樣，也給他們傅油，叫他們作我的司祭。給他們行傅油禮，表示他們世世代代，永遠盡司祭之職。
you shall clothe them in the holy vestments, so that they may minister to me, and so that their unction may accomplish an everlasting priesthood.”
16 梅瑟行了一切；上主怎樣吩咐他的，他就怎樣作了。梅瑟遵從上主的吩咐
And Moses did all that the Lord had instructed.
17 於是第二年正月初一，帳棚就豎立起來了。
Therefore, in the first month of the second year, on the first day of the month, the tabernacle was put in place.
18 梅瑟豎立了帳棚，安上卯座，放上木板，安上橫木，豎起柱子。
And Moses raised it up, and he positioned the panels as well as the bases and the bars, and he set up the columns,
19 將幕頂展開放在帳棚上，將幕頂的罩放在上面，全照上主向梅瑟所吩咐的。
and he stretched out the roof over the tabernacle, imposing a cover above it, just as the Lord had decreed.
20 隨後取了約版放在櫃內，櫃旁穿上杠桿，將贖罪蓋安在約櫃上面。
And he placed the testimony in the ark, applying the bars beneath, and the oracle above.
21 將櫃抬到帳棚內，懸上帳幔，遮住約櫃，如上主向梅瑟所吩咐的。
And when he had brought the ark into the tabernacle, he drew the veil before it, in order to fulfill the commandment of the Lord.
22 以後把供桌放在會幕內，放在帳棚北邊，帳幔以外；
And he placed the table in the tabernacle of the testimony, at the north side, beyond the veil,
23 在桌上於上主前擺上供餅，如上主吩咐梅瑟的。
arranging before it the bread of the presence, just as the Lord had instructed Moses.
24 把燈台安置在會幕內，對著供桌，在帳棚南面。
And he placed the lampstand in the tabernacle of the testimony, away from the table, on the south side,
25 在上主前放上燈盞，如上主向梅瑟所吩咐的。
setting the lamps in order, according to the precept of the Lord.
26 把金祭壇安置在會幕內，帳幔的前邊。
He also positioned the altar of gold under the roof of the testimony, opposite the veil,
27 在壇上燃燒馨香的香料，如上主向梅瑟所吩咐的。
and he heaped upon it the incense of aromatics, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
28 又懸起帳幔的門簾。
And he positioned the tent at the entrance of the tabernacle of the testimony,
29 將全燔祭台安放在會幕門口，在上面奉獻全燔祭和素祭，如上主向梅瑟所吩咐的。
and the altar of holocaust in the vestibule of the testimony, offering the holocaust and the sacrifices upon it, just as the Lord had decreed.
30 將盆安置在會幕和祭壇之中，盆內放了水，為洗濯之用。
Likewise, he stationed the washtub between the tabernacle of the testimony and the altar, filling it with water.
31 梅瑟亞郎和他的兒子們在盆中洗腳。
And Moses and Aaron, along with his sons, washed their hands and feet,
32 他們進入會幕或接近祭壇時，必先洗濯，如上主向梅瑟所吩咐的。
whenever they would enter the covering of the covenant, and when they approached to the altar, just as the Lord had instructed Moses.
33 隨後在帳棚和祭壇四周，豎立了庭院的帷幔，懸起了庭院的門簾：這樣梅瑟完成了所有的工程。上主的榮耀遮蓋會幕
And he raised up the atrium around the tabernacle and the altar, drawing the hanging at its entrance. After all these things were perfected,
34 那時雲彩遮蓋了會幕，上主的榮耀充滿了帳棚。
the cloud covered the tabernacle of the testimony, and the glory of the Lord filled it.
35 梅瑟不能進入會幕，因為雲彩停在上面，上主的榮耀充滿了帳棚。
Neither could Moses enter the covering of the covenant: the cloud was covering all things, and the majesty of the Lord was flashing. For the cloud had covered everything.
36 在以色列子民整個的行程中，雲彩一從帳棚升起，他們就拔營前行；
Whenever the cloud departed from the tabernacle, the sons of Israel set out by their companies.
37 雲彩若不升起，他們就安營不動，直等雲彩升起。
But if it remained hanging over it, they remained in the same place.
38 在他們整個行程中，上主的雲彩白天停在帳棚上，黑夜在雲中有火，，以色列全家都能見到。
Certainly, the cloud of the Lord lay over the tabernacle by day, and the fire by night, being seen by all the people of Israel throughout all their resting places.
