出埃及記 31
1 上主訓示梅瑟說：「
And Yhwh spake unto Moses, saying,
2 看，從猶大支派，我已召叫了胡爾的子孫，烏黎的兒子貝匝肋耳來，
See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah:
3 以天主的神充滿了他，叫他有智慧、技能和知識，能製造各種工程，
And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,
4 能設計圖案，能用金、銀、銅製造器物，
To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,
5 能雕刻寶石，鑲嵌，雕刻木頭，製造各種工程。
And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.
6 我又使丹支派阿希撒瑪客的兒子敖曷里雅布與他合作；也把智慧賜給一切有藝術技能的人，好完成我吩咐你的一切：
And I, behold, I have given with him Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all that are wise hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded thee;
7 會幕、約櫃和上面的贖罪蓋及屬於會幕的一切用具，
The tabernacle of the congregation, and the ark of the testimony, and the mercy seat that is thereupon, and all the furniture of the tabernacle,
8 供桌和桌上的一切器物，純金的燈台和燈台的一切器物和香壇，
And the table and his furniture, and the pure lampstand with all his furniture, and the altar of incense,
9 全燔祭壇和一切器物，盆和盆座，
And the altar of burnt offering with all his furniture, and the laver and his foot,
10 行禮的衣服，亞郎大司祭的聖衣和他兒子們行祭的服裝，
And the cloths of service, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest’s office,
11 傅禮用的油和為聖所焚的香。他們應全照我吩咐你的去作。」守安息日
And the anointing oil, and sweet incense for the holy place: according to all that I have commanded thee shall they do.
12 上主訓示梅瑟說：「
And Yhwh spake unto Moses, saying,
13 你要吩咐以色列子民說：你們務要守我的安息日，這是我與你們之間世世代代的記號，使你們知道，我是祝聖你們的上主。
Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am Yhwh that doth sanctify you.
14 所以你們應守安息日，因為這日為你們是聖日，那褻瀆這聖日的，應受死刑；凡在這日工作的，應從百姓中鏟除。
Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
15 六日中可以工作，但第七日應完全安息，因為是獻於上主的聖日；凡在安息日工作的，應受死刑。
Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to Yhwh: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
16 以色列子民要守安息日，世世代代要過安息日，作為永遠的盟約。
Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.
17 這是我與以色列子民之間的永遠記號，因為上主六天造了天地，第七天停工休息。」賜約版
It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days Yhwh made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
18 上主在西乃山向梅瑟說完了話，交給他兩塊約版，即天主用手指所寫的石版。
And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.
