出埃及記 24
1 上主以後向梅瑟說：「你和亞郎、納達布、阿彼胡，以及以色列長老中的七十人到上主那裏；你們都在遠處跪下朝拜。
And unto Moses he said, Come up unto the Lord, thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and ye shall bow yourselves down afar off.
2 然後梅瑟一人要走近上主，別人不可走近，百姓也不准同他上山。」
And Moses alone shall come near unto the Lord, but they shall not come nigh; and the people shall not go up with him.
3 梅瑟下來將上主的一切話和誡命講述給百姓聽，眾百姓都同聲回答說：「凡上主所吩咐的話，我們全要奉行。」
And Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord, and all the laws of justice; and all the people answered with one voice, and said, all the words which the Lord hath spoken will we do.
4 梅瑟遂將上主的一切話記錄下來。第二天清晨，梅瑟在山下立了一座祭壇，又按以色列十二支派立了十二根石柱，
And Moses wrote down all the words of the Lord, and he rose up early in the morning, and built an altar at the foot of the mount, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.
5 又派了以色列子民的一些青年人去奉獻全燔祭，宰殺了牛犢作為獻給上主的和平祭。
And he then sent the young men of the children of Israel, and they offered burnt-offerings, and sacrificed peace-offerings unto the Lord, of oxen.
6 梅瑟取了一半血，盛在盆中，取了另一半血洒在祭壇上。
And Moses took the half of the blood, and put it in basins; and the [other] half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.
7 然後拿過約書來，唸給百姓聽。以後百姓回答說：「凡上主所吩咐的話，我們必聽從奉行。」
And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the hearing of the people; and they said, all that the Lord hath spoken will we do and obey.
8 梅瑟遂拿血來洒在百姓身上說：「看，這是盟約的血，是上主本著這一切話同你們訂立的約。」
And Moses took the blood and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the Lord hath made with you concerning all these words.
9 隨後梅瑟、亞郎、納達布、阿彼胡和以色列長老中的七十人上了山，
Then went up Moses, with Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel.
10 看見了以色列的天主，看見在他腳下好像有一塊藍玉作的薄板，光亮似藍天。
And they saw the God of Israel; and the place under his feet was like a paved work of brilliant sapphire, and like the color of heaven in clearness.
11 他們雖看見了天主，天主卻沒有下手害以色列的首領們，他們還能吃能喝。梅瑟獨自留在山上
And against the nobles of the children of Israel he stretched not forth his hand; and they saw [the glory of] God, and did eat and drink.
12 以後上主向梅瑟說：「你上山到我台前，停留在那裏，我要將石版，即我為教訓百姓所寫的法律和誡命交給你。」
And the Lord said unto Moses, come up to me to the mount, and remain there: and I will give thee the tables of stone, with the law, and the commandment which I have written, to teach them.
13 梅瑟和他的侍從若蘇厄起身上天主的山，
And Moses rose up, and his servant Joshua; and Moses went up to the mount of God.
14 梅瑟巷長老們說：「你們在這裏等候我們回到你們這裏。你們有亞郎和胡爾同你們在一起。誰有爭訟的事，可到他們那裏去。」
And unto the elders he said, Tarry ye for us here, until the time we come again unto you; and, behold, Aaron and Chur are with you, whoever may have any cause to be decided, let him come unto them.
15 梅瑟上了山，雲彩就把山蓋住了。
And Moses went up to the mount, and the cloud covered the mount.
16 上主的榮耀停在西乃山上，雲彩遮蓋著山共六天之久，第七天上主從雲彩爭召叫了梅瑟。
And the glory of the Lord abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days; and he called unto Moses on the seventh day out of the midst of the cloud.
17 上主的榮耀在以色列子民眼前，好像烈火出現在山頂上。
And the appearance of the glory of the Lord was like a devouring fire on the top of the mount, before the eyes of the children of Israel.
18 梅瑟進入雲彩中，上了山；梅瑟在山上停留了四十天，四十夜。
And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and ascended the mount; and Moses was on the mount forty days and forty nights.
