出埃及記 11
1 上主對梅瑟說：「還有一種災禍，我要降在法朗和埃及人身上，以後他必要釋放你們離開此地；他釋放你們的時候，是驅逐你們離開此地。
And the LORD said unto Moses: 'Yet one plague more will I bring upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence; when he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether.
2 你要講給百姓聽，叫他們男女各向自己的鄰舍要求金銀之物。」
Speak now in the ears of the people, and let them ask every man of his neighbour, and every woman of her neighbour, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold.'
3 上主使百姓在埃及人前蒙恩，同時梅瑟在埃及國，在法朗的臣僕和百姓眼中，也成了偉大的人物。
And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants, and in the sight of the people.
4 梅瑟說：「上主這樣說：半夜時，我要走遍埃及。
And Moses said: 'Thus saith the LORD: About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt;
5 凡埃及國，從坐寶位的法朗的長子，直到推磨的婢女的長子，以及牲畜的一切頭胎，都要死亡。
and all the first-born in the land of Egypt shall die, from the first-born of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the first-born of the maid-servant that is behind the mill; and all the first-born of cattle.
6 埃及全國要有大哀號，是從前沒有，以後也不會再有的哀號。
And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there hath been none like it, nor shall be like it any more.
7 至於以色列子民，連狗也不敢向他們和他們的牲畜吠叫，為叫你們知道，上主已將以色列子民和埃及人分開，
But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog whet his tongue, against man or beast; that ye may know how that the LORD doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.
8 以後你的這些臣僕全都要到我跟前，跪下哀求我說：你和那跟從你的百姓都去罷! 然後我才離去。」梅瑟氣憤憤地離開法郎出去了。
And all these thy servants shall come down unto me, and bow down unto me, saying: Get thee out, and all the people that follow thee; and after that I will go out.' And he went out from Pharaoh in hot anger.
9 上主對梅瑟說：「法朗不聽從你們，使我的奇蹟在埃及國多起來。」
And the LORD said unto Moses: 'Pharaoh will not hearken unto you; that My wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.'
10 梅瑟和亞郎在法朗面前行了這些奇蹟；但是上主使法朗的心硬，仍不肯放以色列子民離開自己的國家。
And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh; and the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he did not let the children of Israel go out of his land.
