出埃及記 10
1 上主對梅瑟說：「你去見法朗，因為我已使他和他臣僕心硬，要在他們中顯我的這些奇蹟，
Jehovah said to Moses, "Go in to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I may show these my signs in the midst of them,
2 好叫你將我怎樣戲弄了埃及人，在他們中行了什麼奇蹟，都講給你的子孫聽，使你們知道我是上主。」
and that you may tell in the hearing of your son, and of your son's son, what things I have done to Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that you may know that I am Jehovah."
3 於是梅瑟和亞郎去見法朗說：「上主，希伯來人的天主這樣說：你不肯在我前低頭要到幾時呢﹖放走我的百姓去崇拜我罷!
Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and said to him, "This is what Jehovah, the God of the Hebrews, says: 'How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? Let my people go, that they may serve me.
4 如果你再拒絕放走我的百姓，看，明天我要使蝗蟲進入你的境內。
Or else, if you refuse to let my people go, look, tomorrow I will bring locusts into your country,
5 蝗蟲要遮蓋地面，甚至看不見地；蝗蟲要吃盡免於冰雹而給你們留下的一切，也要吃盡田野間給你們生長的一切樹木。
and they shall cover the surface of the earth, so that one won't be able to see the earth. They shall eat the residue of that which has escaped, which remains to you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which grows for you out of the field.
6 你的宮殿，你的臣僕和所有埃及人的房屋都要充滿蝗蟲：這是你的祖宗和你祖宗的祖宗入世以來，直到今天所沒有見過的災禍。」梅瑟遂轉身離開法朗走了。
Your houses shall be filled, and the houses of all your servants, and the houses of all the Egyptians; as neither your fathers nor your fathers' fathers have seen, since the day that they were on the earth to this day.'" He turned, and went out from Pharaoh.
7 法朗的臣僕們向法朗說：「這人陷害我們要到幾時﹖釋放這些人去崇拜上主他們的天主罷! 埃及已經滅亡，你還不知道嗎﹖」
Pharaoh's servants said to him, "How long will this man be a snare to us? Let the men go, that they may serve their God. Do you not yet know that Egypt is destroyed?"
8 梅瑟和亞郎被召到法朗那裏，法朗對他們說：「你們去崇拜上主你們的天主罷! 但那要去的是些什麼人﹖」
Moses and Aaron were brought again to Pharaoh, and he said to them, "Go, serve your God; but who are those who will go?"
9 梅瑟回答說：「我們要帶領少年老年同去，要帶領兒女，牛羊同去，因為我們要過上主的節日。」
Moses said, "We will go with our young and with our old; with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds will we go; for we must hold a feast to Jehovah."
10 法朗向他們說：「如果我放走你們和你們的孩子，就讓上主同你們在一起罷! 顯然你們不懷好意!
He said to them, "Jehovah be with you if I will let you go with your dependents. See, evil is clearly before your faces.
11 絕對不成! 只是你們的男子可以去崇拜上主，這原是你們所要求的。」隨後把他們從法朗前趕走。
Not so. Go now you who are men, and serve God; for that is what you desire." They were driven out from Pharaoh's presence.
12 上主對梅瑟說：「你向埃及地伸開你的手，使蝗蟲來到埃及地，吃盡冰雹從地上所剩餘的一切植物。」
Jehovah said to Moses, "Stretch out your hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up on the land of Egypt and eat every plant of the land, even all that the hail has left."
13 梅瑟向埃及地伸開他的棍杖，上主就使東風在地上颳了一整天一整夜，到了早晨，東風吹來了蝗蟲。
Moses stretched forth his staff over the land of Egypt, and Jehovah brought an east wind on the land all that day, and all the night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.
14 蝗蟲到了埃及國，落在埃及全境，那樣多法，確是空前絕後。
The locusts went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all the borders of Egypt. They were very grievous. Before them there were no such locusts as they, neither after them shall be such.
15 蝗蟲遮蓋了地面，大地變黑。蝗蟲吃盡了冰雹所剩下的一切植物和一切果實，這樣埃及全國無論是樹上或是田野間的植物上，沒有留下半點青葉。
For they covered the surface of the whole land, so that the land was darkened, and they ate every plant of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left. There remained nothing green, either tree or plant of the field, through all the land of Egypt.
16 法朗急速將梅瑟和亞郎召來，說：「我得罪了上主你們的天主，也得罪了你們。
Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron in haste, and he said, "I have sinned against Jehovah your God, and against you.
17 現今請你們寬赦我的罪罷! 只這一次! 求上主你們的天主，快叫這致命的災禍離開我。」
Now therefore please forgive my sin again, and pray to Jehovah your God, that he may also take away from me this death."
18 梅瑟從法朗那裏出來，祈求了上主。
He went out from Pharaoh, and prayed to God.
19 上主就換了強烈的西風，將蝗蟲捲去，投入紅海，在埃及四境沒有留下一個蝗蟲。
Jehovah turned an exceeding strong west wind, which took up the locusts, and drove them into the Red Sea. There remained not one locust in all the borders of Egypt.
20 上主又使法朗心硬，他仍不肯放走以色列子民。第九災、黑暗
But Jehovah hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he did not let the children of Israel go.
21 上主對梅瑟說：「將你的手向天伸開，使黑暗降在埃及國。這黑暗似乎可以觸摸。」
Jehovah said to Moses, "Stretch out your hand toward the sky, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt."
22 梅瑟向天伸開手，濃密的黑暗就降在埃及國，有三天之久。
Moses stretched forth his hand toward the sky, and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days.
23 三天之內，人彼此不能看見，也不能離開自己的地方；但是以色列子民那邊，卻有光明照耀他們所住的地方。
They did not see one another, neither did anyone rise from his place for three days; but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.
24 法郎召梅瑟笸亞郎來說：「你們去崇拜上主罷! 你們的孩子可與你們同去，只把牛羊留下! 」
Then Pharaoh called to Moses and to Aaron and said, "Go, serve Jehovah. Only let your flocks and your herds stay behind. Let your dependents also go with you."
25 梅瑟回答說：「你本人應該給我們犧牲和全燔祭的祭品，叫我們獻於上主我們的天主。
Moses said, "You must also give into our hand sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice to Jehovah our God.
26 我們的牲畜也都要跟我們同去，連一個蹄子也不留下，因為我們要用這些來崇拜上主我們的天主；並且未到那裏之前，我們還不知道要用什麼崇拜上主。」
Our livestock must also go with us; not a hoof is left behind, for of it we must take to serve Jehovah our God; and we do not know with what we must serve Jehovah, until we come there."
27 上主又使法朗心硬，他仍不肯放走他們。
But Jehovah hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he wouldn't let them go.
28 法朗對梅瑟說：「離開我去罷! 你要小心，不要再見我面，因為你見我面的那一天，你必要死! 」
Pharaoh said to him, "Get away from me. Make sure you never see my face again; for in the day you see my face you shall die."
29 梅瑟回答說：「就照你的話好了! 我再不見你的面。」
Moses said, "You have spoken well. I will not see your face again."
