撒母耳記下 22
1 當上主救達味脫離了仇敵和撒烏耳的毒手時，達味向上主唱了詩歌說：
And David spake unto Yhwh the words of this song in the day that Yhwh had delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul:
2 「上主，我的盤石，我的保障，我的避難所；
And he said, Yhwh is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;
3 天主是我所倚靠的盤石，是我的盾牌，我的大救主，我的堡壘，我的藏身處。我的救主，是你救我脫離了強暴。
The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.
4 我一呼求應受頌揚的上主，我便獲救，脫離了我的仇敵。
I will call on Yhwh, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
5 死亡的波濤圍繞我，凶險的急流驚嚇我，
When the waves of death compassed me, the floods of ungodly men made me afraid;
The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me; (Sheol h7585)
7 在急難中我呼求上主，向我的天主呼號，衪由殿中聽了我的聲音，我的呼聲達入衪耳中。
In my distress I called upon Yhwh, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears.
8 因衪盛大作，大地震動戢慄，上主的基礎動盪搖撼，
Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations of heaven moved and shook, because he was wroth.
9 由衪的鼻孔湧出濃煙，由衪的口中噴出烈火，由衪的身上射出火炭，
There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.
10 使天低垂親自降下，在衪的腳下濃雲密佈。
He bowed the heavens also, and came down; and darkness was under his feet.
11 衪乘坐革魯賓飛騰，藉著風的翼羽翱翔。
And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: and he was seen upon the wings of the wind.
12 衪四周以黑暗做帷幔，以豪雨濃雲為帳幕。
And he made darkness pavilions round about him, dark waters, and thick clouds of the skies.
13 閃電在衪前閃爍，紅炭發出了火光。
Through the brightness before him were coals of fire kindled.
14 上主由高天興雷，至高者發出了呼聲。
Yhwh thundered from heaven, and the most High uttered his voice.
15 衪射出羽箭，使敵人四散，發閃電，使敵人驚擾。
And he sent out arrows, and scattered them; lightning, and discomfited them.
16 上主的呵斥一發，鼻孔的怒氣一出，蒼海的海低即出現，大地的地基也外露。
And the channels of the sea appeared, the foundations of the world were discovered, at the rebuking of Yhwh, at the blast of the breath of his nostrils.
17 衪由高處伸手將我拉住，由大水中將我提出。
He sent from above, he took me; he drew me out of many waters;
18 救我脫離了我的勁敵，擺脫了強於我的仇人。
He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them that hated me: for they were too strong for me.
19 他們在我困厄之日，襲擊了我，然而上主卻作了我的後盾；
They prevented me in the day of my calamity: But Yhwh was my stay.
20 衪引我步坦途，因喜愛我而救了我。
He brought me forth also into a large place: he delivered me, because he delighted in me.
21 上主照我的正義酬報了我，按我雙手的清白報答了我；
Yhwh rewarded me according to my righteousness: according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.
22 因我遵行了上主的正道，沒有作惡離棄我的天主。
For I have kept the ways of Yhwh, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
23 衪的一切法令在我前，我未曾違過衪的誡命；
For all his judgments were before me: and as for his statutes, I did not depart from them.
24 我衪前常保成全，自知提防各種不義。
I was also upright before him, and have kept myself from mine iniquity.
25 因此，上主照我的正義，我在衪的純潔，賞報了我。
Therefore Yhwh hath recompensed me according to my righteousness; according to my cleanness in his eye sight.
26 仁慈的人，你待他仁慈；正直的人，你待他正直；
With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful, and with the upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright.
27 純的人，你待他純樸；乖戾的人，你待他乖戾。
With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the perverse thou wilt shew thyself contrary.
28 卑微的人，你必拯救；傲慢的人，你必睥視。
And the afflicted people thou wilt save: but thine eyes are upon the haughty, that thou mayest bring them down.
29 上主，你是我的火炬，我的天主，照明我的黑暗。
For thou art my lamp, O Yhwh: And Yhwh will lighten my darkness.
30 仗著你，我衝入了敵營；靠著我的天主，我跳過了牆垣。
For by thee I have run through a troop: by my God have I leaped over a wall.
31 天主的道路是完善的；上主的言語是純淨的；凡投衪的人，衪怍他們的後盾。
As for God, his way is perfect; the word of Yhwh is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.
32 上主以外，還有誰是天主﹖除我的的天主外，還有誰的盤石﹖
For who is God, save Yhwh? and who is a rock, save our God?
33 是天主賜我毅力，使我一路順利，
God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.
34 使我的腳快如鹿蹄，使我屹立高地，
He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet: and setteth me upon my high places.
35 教導我手作戰，使臂膊能開銅弓。
He teacheth my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.
36 你你的救生盾賜了我，你的長甲作了我的掩護。
Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy gentleness hath made me great.
37 你為我的腳步拓寬了路，我的腳從未顛簸。
Thou hast enlarged my steps under me; so that my feet did not slip.
38 我追趕仇敵，消滅他們；不滅絕他們，決不返回。
I have pursued mine enemies, and destroyed them; and turned not again until I had consumed them.
39 我將他們打得一蹶不振，盡都倒斃在我腳下
And I have consumed them, and wounded them, that they could not arise: yea, they are fallen under my feet.
40 你賜我毅力勇作戰，把我的對手屈伏我下，
For thou hast girded me with strength to battle: them that rose up against me hast thou subdued under me.
41 使我的敵人在 前轉背而逃，使我殲滅了一切仇恨我的人。
Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies, that I might destroy them that hate me.
42 他們呼號，卻無人施救；呼號上主，也不獲應允。
They looked, but there was none to save; even unto Yhwh, but he answered them not.
43 我搗碎他們地上的灰塵，踐踏他們像道上的泥土。
Then did I beat them as small as the dust of the earth, I did stamp them as the mire of the street, and did spread them abroad.
44 你由百姓的叛亂中救拔了我，立我做了列國的首領；我不知道的人民竟給我服役；
Thou also hast delivered me from the strivings of my people, thou hast kept me to be head of the heathen: a people which I knew not shall serve me.
45 外邦的子民諂媚奉承我，一聽到是我，即服從我；
Strangers shall submit themselves unto me: as soon as they hear, they shall be obedient unto me.
46 外的子民驚惶失色，戰戰兢兢走的堡壘。
Strangers shall fade away, and they shall be afraid out of their close places.
47 上主萬歲! 願我的盤石受讚美，願救我的的天主受頌揚!
Yhwh liveth; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation.
48 天主是你為我報了仇，使萬民屈伏於我，
It is God that avengeth me, and that bringeth down the people under me,
49 是你救我脫離了我的仇敵，提拔我凌駕我的對手之上，救我脫免了強暴的人。
And that bringeth me forth from mine enemies: thou also hast lifted me up on high above them that rose up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.
50 為此，上主! 我要在異民中稱謝你，歌頌你的聖名。
Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O Yhwh, among the heathen, and I will sing praises unto thy name.
51 因為衪使自己的君大獲勝利，對自己的受傅者達味和他的子孫，廣施仁慈，直到永遠」。
He is the tower of salvation for his king: and sheweth mercy to his anointed, unto David, and to his seed for evermore.
