撒母耳記下 16
1 達味剛走過山頂不遠，看，默黎巴耳的僕人漆巴正牽著一對備好鞍子的驢，馱著兩百個餅，一百串葡萄乾，一百鮮果和一皮囊酒，前來迎接君王。
And when David was a little past the top of the hill, behold, Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth met him, with a couple of asses saddled, and upon them two hundred loaves of bread, and an hundred bunches of raisins, and an hundred of summer fruits and a bottle of wine.
2 君王對漆巴說：「你帶這些東西來作什麼﹖」漆巴說：「驢是為君王的家眷騎的，餅和水果是為僮僕吃的，酒是為在曠野裏疲倦了的人喝的」。
And the king said unto Ziba, What meanest thou by these? And Ziba said, The asses be for the king's household to ride on; and the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat; and the wine, that such as be faint in the wilderness may drink.
3 君王問說：「你主人的兒子在哪裏﹖」漆巴回答君王說：「他仍留在耶路撒冷，因為他說：今日以色列家會將我父親的王位歸還給我了! 」
And the king said, And where is thy master's son? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he abideth at Jerusalem: for he said, To day shall the house of Israel restore me the kingdom of my father.
4 君王對漆巴說：「看，凡屬默黎巴耳的，都歸你所有! 」漆巴答說：「我屈膝叩拜我主一王! 願我在你眼中獲得寵幸」。
Then said the king to Ziba, Behold, thine are all that pertained unto Mephibosheth. And Ziba said, I humbly beseech thee that I may find favour in thy sight, my master, O king.
5 達味王來到巴胡陵時看，出來一個撒烏耳家族的人，是革辣的兒子，名叫史米的。他罵著走來，
And when king David came to Bahurim, behold, thence came out a man of the family of the house of Saul, whose name was Shimei, the son of Gera: he came forth, and cursed still as he came.
6 投石襲擊達味和達味的眾臣僕，雖然百姓和勇士都圍在王的左右，他毫不畏懼。
And he cast stones at David, and at all the servants of king David: and all the people and all the mighty men were on his right hand and on his left.
7 史米這樣罵君王說：「滾吧! 滾吧! 你這個殺人王! 你這個敗類!
And thus said Shimei when he cursed, Come out, come out, thou bloody man, and thou man of Belial:
8 上主將撒烏耳一家的血都歸在你身上，你奪了他的王位，現在，上主將王權交在你兒子阿貝沙隆手裏，使你陷入絕境，足見你是個殺人王」。
YHWH hath returned upon thee all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose stead thou hast reigned; and YHWH hath delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absalom thy son: and, behold, thou art taken in thy mischief, because thou art a bloody man.
9 責魯雅的兒子阿彼瑟對君王說：「為什麼讓這死狗辱罵我主大王﹖讓我去砍下他的頭來! 」
Then said Abishai the son of Zeruiah unto the king, Why should this dead dog curse my master the king? let me go over, I pray thee, and take off his head.
10 君王說：「責魯雅的兒子，我和我和你們有什麼關係﹖讓他罵吧! 如果上主吩咐他說：你咒罵達味! 誰還敢說：你為什麼這樣做﹖」
And the king said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah? so let him curse, because YHWH hath said unto him, Curse David. Who shall then say, Wherefore hast thou done so?
11 達味對阿彼瑟和他的臣僕說：「唉! 我親生的兒子，尚且謀害我的生命，這個本雅明人更將如何﹖讓他罵吧! 因為上主吩咐了他。
And David said to Abishai, and to all his servants, Behold, my son, which came forth of my bowels, seeketh my life: how much more now may this Benjamite do it? let him alone, and let him curse; for YHWH hath bidden him.
12 也許上主會憐恤我的困苦，會將他今日的咒罵，變成我的幸福」。
It may be that YHWH will look on mine affliction, and that YHWH will requite me good for his cursing this day.
13 達味與跟隨的人沿路前行，史米也沿著山路與他平排進行，邊走邊罵，向他拋石撒土。
And as David and his men went by the way, Shimei went along on the hill's side over against him, and cursed as he went, and threw stones at him, and cast dust.
14 君王與跟隨他的眾人，來到約旦河岸，非常疲倦，就在那裏暫且休息。
And the king, and all the people that were with him, came weary, and refreshed themselves there.
15 阿貝沙隆與跟隨他的眾以色列人進了耶路撒冷，阿希托費耳也同他在一起，
And Absalom, and all the people the men of Israel, came to Jerusalem, and Ahithophel with him.
16 當達味的朋友阿爾基人胡瑟來見阿貝沙隆時，便對阿貝沙隆說：「大王萬歲! 「大王萬歲! 」
And it came to pass, when Hushai the Archite, David's friend, was come unto Absalom, that Hushai said unto Absalom, Elohim save the king, Elohim save the king.
17 阿貝沙隆對胡瑟說：「這是你對你朋友的恩情嗎﹖為什麼沒有去跟隨你的朋友﹖」
And Absalom said to Hushai, Is this thy kindness to thy friend? why wentest thou not with thy friend?
18 胡瑟回答阿貝沙隆說：「不，因為凡上主和這個民族以及全以色列人所揀選的，我就跟隨他，與他住在一起。
And Hushai said unto Absalom, Nay; but whom YHWH, and this people, and all the men of Israel, choose, his will I be, and with him will I abide.
19 再者，我要事奉的是誰呢﹖先前我怎樣服事了你父親，也願怎樣服事你」。
And again, whom should I serve? should I not serve in the presence of his son? as I have served in thy father's presence, so will I be in thy presence.
20 阿貝沙隆對阿希托費耳說：「你們商討一下，我們該作什麼？」
Then said Absalom to Ahithophel, Give counsel among you what we shall do.
21 阿希托費耳對阿貝沙隆說：「你應去親近你父親留下看守宮殿的嬪妃，叫全以色列人知道你已惹下了你父親的仇恨，那些支持你的人，就必更加堅強」。
And Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Go in unto thy father's concubines, which he hath left to keep the house; and all Israel shall hear that thou art abhorred of thy father: then shall the hands of all that are with thee be strong.
22 於是人們在屋頂上，給阿貝沙隆支搭了一座帳棚；阿貝沙隆當著眾以色列人的面，親近了他父親的嬪妃。
So they spread Absalom a tent upon the top of the house; and Absalom went in unto his father's concubines in the sight of all Israel.
23 那時，阿希托費耳所出的主意，好像是詢問天主得來的神諭。凡阿希托費耳所出的主意，無論對達味，或對阿貝沙隆，都是如此。
And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he counselled in those days, was as if a man had inquired at the oracle of Elohim: so was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom.
