1 默納舍登極時才十二歲，在耶咯撒冷做王五十五年，他的母親名叫赫斐漆巴。
Twelve years old was Menasseh when he became king, and fifty and five years did he reign in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Chephzi-bah.
2 他行了上主視為惡的事，仿效上主從以色列子民前所驅逐的異民所行的可恥之事，
And he did what is evil in the eyes of the Lord, after the abominable acts of the nations whom the Lord had driven out before the children of Israel.
3 重建了他父親希則克雅所拆毀的高丘，為巴耳建立了祭壇，製造了木偶，像以色列王阿哈布所作的一樣，且崇拜敬奉天上的萬象，
And he built up again the high-places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Ba'al, and made a grove, as Achab the king of Israel had done; and he bowed down to all the host of heaven, and served them.
4 雖然上主曾指著聖殿說過：「我要將我的名建立在耶路撒冷。」但他仍在上主的殿內建立了一些祭壇，
And he built altars in the house of the Lord, of which the Lord had said, In Jerusalem will I put my name.
5 又在上主殿宇的兩庭院內，為天上萬像建立了祭壇；
And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the Lord.
6 使自己的兒子經火獻神，行占卜邪術，立招魂師和術士，不斷行上主視為惡的事，惹上主發怒。
And he caused his son to pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much that is evil in the eyes of the Lord, to provoke him to anger.
7 他又將自己製造的阿舍辣雕像，安放在上主的殿內，雖然上主論及這殿曾對達味的兒子撒羅滿說：「我要在這殿內，和我在以色列各支派所選出的耶路撒冷立我的名，直到永遠；
And he set a hewn image of the Asherah that he had made in the house, of which the Lord had said to David, and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever:
8 只要以色列謹守遵行我所吩咐他們的一切，及我僕人梅瑟所吩咐他們的一切法律，我決不再使以色列人的腳，離開我賜與他們祖先的土地。」
And I will not cause any more the foot of Israel to move out of the land which I gave their fathers; only if they will observe to act in accordance with all that I have commanded them, and in accordance with all the law that my servant Moses commanded them.
9 但是，他們卻不聽從，甚至默納舍誘惑他們行惡，甚於上主由以色列子民前所消滅的那些民族。
But they hearkened not: and Menasseh seduced them to do what is evil more than the nations whom the Lord had destroyed before the children of Israel.
10 為此，上主藉他的僕人先知警告說：「
And the Lord spoke by means of his servants the prophets, saying,
11 因為猶太王默納舍行了這些可恥的事，甚於他以前的阿摩黎人所行的，以自己的神像引猶太犯罪。
Forasmuch as Menasseh the king of Judah hath done these abominations, having done wickedly more than all that the Emorites had done, who were before him, and hath induced Judah also to sin with his idols:
12 所以上主以色列的天主這樣說：看，我要使這樣的災禍降在耶路撒冷和猶太，使聽見的人兩耳都要齊鳴。
Therefore thus hath said the Lord the God of Israel, Behold, I will bring evil upon Jerusalem and Judah, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle.
13 我要用測量撒瑪黎雅的繩索，和測量阿哈布家的鉛錘，來測量耶路撒冷，要擦淨耶路撒冷如同人擦淨盤子一樣，擦淨之後，就翻過來；
And I will stretch over Jerusalem the measure-line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Achab: and I will wipe off Jerusalem as one wipeth off a dish, wiping it, and turning it on its face.
14 我要拋棄作我產業的遺民，將他們交於敵人手中，使他們成為一切敵人的掠物與勝利品。
And I will forsake the remnant of my inheritance, and give them up into the hand of their enemies; and they shall become a prey and a spoil to all their enemies;
15 因為他們自從他們的祖先出離埃及那一天，直到今日，行了我視為惡的事，使我發怒。」
Forasmuch as they have done what is evil in my eyes, and have been provoking me to anger, from the day that their fathers came forth out of Egypt, even until this day.
16 默納舍除了使猶大陷於罪惡，行了上主視為惡的事以外，還流了許多無辜者的血，使耶路撒冷流成河，從這邊流到那邊。
And also innocent blood did Menasseh shed in very great abundance, till he had filled [therewith] Jerusalem from one end to another; beside his sin wherewith he induced Judah to sin, to do what is evil in the eyes of the Lord.
17 默納舍其餘的事蹟，他行的一切，所犯的罪惡，都記載在猶大列王實錄上。
Now the rest of the acts of Menasseh, and all that he did, and his sin that he committed, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah.
18 默納舍與他的列祖同眠，埋葬在王宮花園，即烏匝花園裏；他的兒子阿孟繼位為王。
And Menasseh slept with his fathers, and was buried in the garden of his own house, in the garden of 'Uzza: and Amon his son became king in his stead.
19 阿孟登極時，年二十二歲，在耶路撒冷作王兩年；他的母親名叫默叔肋默，是約特巴人哈魯茲的女兒。
Twenty and two years old was Amon when he became king, and two years did he reign in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Meshullemeth, the daughter of Charuz of Yotbah.
20 他行了上主認為視為惡的事。全像他父親所行的一樣；
And he did what is evil in the eyes of the Lord, as his father Menasseh had done.
21 走了他父親所走的的路，事奉敬拜了他父親所事奉的偶像，
And he walked in all the way that his father had walked in, and served the idols that his father had served, and bowed himself down to them;
22 離棄了上主他祖先的天主，未隨上主的道路。
And he forsook the Lord the God of his fathers, and walked not in the way of the Lord.
23 阿孟臣僕共謀造反，在宮內將君王殺了；
And the servants of Amon conspired against him, and put the king to death in his own house.
24 但地方的人民起來，殺了所有反叛阿孟王的人，立了他的兒子約史雅繼位為王。
And the people of the land slew all those that had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his stead.
25 阿孟所作的其它事蹟，都記載在猶大列王實錄上。
Now the rest of the acts of Amon which he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah.
26 他也葬在烏匝花園內自己的墳墓裏；他的兒子約史雅繼位為王。
And they buried him in his sepulchre in the garden of 'Uzza: and Josiah his son became king in his stead.
