1 [聖殿落成]撒羅滿為上主的殿所作的一切工作完成了以後，遂將他父親達味所奉獻的禮品，金銀和所有的器具運上來，存放在天主殿宇的府庫裏。 [迎約櫃入聖殿]
And so was ended all the work which Solomon made for the house of the Lord; and Solomon brought in the things sanctified by David his father; and the silver, and the gold, and all the vessels he placed in the treasuries of the house of God.
2 那時，撒羅滿召集以色列的長老，各支派的首領和以色列子民各家族長，到耶路撒冷，機上主的約櫃從達味城，即熙雍運上來。
Then did Solomon assemble the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the divisions of the children of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, which is Zion.
3 以色列人於是在七月的節日，都聚集到君王那裏。
And all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto the king at the feast which is [in] the seventh month.
4 以色列所有的長老一來到，肋未人便抬起約櫃，
All the elders of Israel came, and the Levites took up the ark.
5 將約櫃和會幕內所有的聖器都抬上來；抬運的都是司祭和肋未人。
And they brought up the ark, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle: these did the priests and the Levites bring up.
6 撒羅滿王和聚集在他那裏的以色列全會眾，在約櫃前宰殺了牛羊，多得無法計算，不可勝數。
And king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel that were assembled unto him were before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen, which could not be numbered nor told for multitude.
7 司祭們將上主的約櫃抬到殿的內部，即至聖所內，放在革魯賓的翅膀下，那早已預備的地方。
And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the Lord unto its place, into the debir of the house, into the most holy place, under the wings of the cherubim.
8 革魯賓伸開翅膀遮在約櫃的所在之上，所以革魯賓在上面正遮著約櫃和抬櫃的扛桿。
And the cherubim spread forth their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim covered the ark and its staves from above.
9 這扛桿很長，扛頭從內殿前的聖所裏可以看見，在殿外卻看不見；直到今天還在那裏。
And they had made the staves so long that the ends of the staves were seen [standing out] from the ark in the front of the debir; but they were not seen without; and they have remained there until this day.
10 約櫃內除了兩塊石版，沒有別的東西：這是以色列子民出埃及後，上主與他們立約時，梅瑟在曷勒布山放在裏面的。[上主顯示榮耀]
There was nothing in the ark save the two tables which Moses had placed [therein] at Horeb, where the Lord made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.
11 當司祭從聖所出來時，─因為所有在場的司祭都自潔過，未分班次，
And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place; for all the priests that were present had sanctified themselves, the divisions not having been observed; —
12 全體歌唱的肋未人，阿撒夫、赫曼、耶杜通，和他們的兒子以及他們同族的弟兄，一律穿著細麻的衣服，站在祭壇的東面，擊鈸、鼓瑟、彈琴；同他們在一起的，尚有一百二十位司祭吹號筒，─
And the Levites the singers, all together, of Assaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east side of the altar, and with them were one hundred and twenty priests blowing on trumpets; —
13 吹號筒的和歌唱的人都同聲同調讚美上主。當他們配合號筒鐃鈸和各種樂器，高聲讚美上主說：「因為他是聖善的，因為他的仁慈永遠常存」時，雲彩充滿了聖殿，即上主的殿，
And it came thus to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice [accompanied] with trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and in praising the Lord, For he is good; because unto everlasting endureth his kindness: that the house, even the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud;
14 致使司祭由於雲彩不能繼續奉職，因為上主的光榮充滿了天主的殿。
And the priests were not able to stand to minister because of the cloud; for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.
