约翰福音 13
1 逾越节前一天，耶稣知道自己时候已到，将会离开这世界，回到天父那里去。他爱这世上追随他的人，现在他将显示对他们所有的爱。
Now before the feast of the passover, Jesus, knowing that his hour had come that he should depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, loved them to the end.
2 吃晚饭的时候，魔鬼已经把出卖耶稣的念头植入西门的儿子——加略人犹大的心里。
And during supper, the devil having already put it into the heart of Judas [son] of Simon, Iscariote, that he should deliver him up,
3 耶稣知道天父的权力掌控了一切，他知道自己来自上帝，也将回到上帝。
[Jesus, ] knowing that the Father had given him all things into his hands, and that he came out from God and was going to God,
4 于是他站起身，脱去外衣，在腰上扎了一条毛巾。
rises from supper and lays aside his garments, and having taken a linen towel he girded himself:
5 然后倒了一盆水，开始给门徒们洗脚，用腰上的毛巾擦干。
then he pours water into the washhand basin, and began to wash the feet of the disciples, and to wipe them with the linen towel with which he was girded.
6 轮到彼得时，他问到：“主啊，你要给我洗脚吗？”
He comes therefore to Simon Peter; and he says to him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?
7 耶稣回答：“你现在并不知道我在为你做什么，但总有一天会明白。”
Jesus answered and said to him, What I do thou dost not know now, but thou shalt know hereafter.
Peter says to him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, Unless I wash thee, thou hast not part with me. (aiōn g165)
9 彼得说：“主啊，那就不要只是洗我的脚，连我的手和头也都洗吧！”
Simon Peter says to him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.
10 耶稣回答：“洗过澡的人只要洗脚就能获得全身的洁净。你们是洁净的，但并非人人如此。”
Jesus says to him, He that is washed all over needs not to wash save his feet, but is wholly clean; and ye are clean, but not all.
11 因为耶稣知道谁出卖了他，所以他说“但并非人人如此。”
For he knew him that delivered him up: on account of this he said, Ye are not all clean.
12 耶稣洗完了门徒们的脚，穿上外衣回到座位上坐下，对他们说：“你们理解我为你们所做的一切吗？
When therefore he had washed their feet, and taken his garments, having sat down again, he said to them, Do ye know what I have done to you?
13 你们称呼我‘老师’和‘主’，这样称呼没错，我本来就是。
Ye call me the Teacher and the Lord, and ye say well, for I am [so].
14 如果作为主和你们的老师，仍然为你们洗脚，你们也应当为彼此洗脚。
If I therefore, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, ye also ought to wash one another's feet;
15 我为你们做出榜样，希望你们也能做我所做的事情。
for I have given you an example that, as I have done to you, ye should do also.
16 实话实说，仆人不能高于主人，奉命行事之人不能高过派遣他之人。
Verily, verily, I say to you, The bondman is not greater than his lord, nor the sent greater than he who has sent him.
17 既然你们已经理解了这些事，付诸行动就会有福报。
If ye know these things, blessed are ye if ye do them.
18 但我并不是说你们所有人，我知道自己选择的那些人，但是经文中说：‘与我一起用餐的人会背叛我’，这句话将会应验。
I speak not of you all. I know those whom I have chosen; but that the scripture might be fulfilled, He that eats bread with me has lifted up his heel against me.
19 我在事情还没有发生之前告诉你们，因为当它发生的时候，你们就会相信我是谁。
I tell you [it] now before it happens, that when it happens, ye may believe that I am [he].
20 告诉你们实话，迎接我所派遣的人，就是迎接我，迎接我，就是迎接派我来此之人。”
Verily, verily, I say to you, He who receives whomsoever I shall send receives me; and he that receives me receives him who has sent me.
21 耶稣说完这番话，深感难过，于是大声说：“告诉你们实话，你们中间有一个人要出卖我。”
Having said these things, Jesus was troubled in spirit, and testified and said, Verily, verily, I say to you, that one of you shall deliver me up.
22 门徒们看着彼此，不知道他所指是谁。
The disciples therefore looked one on another, doubting of whom he spoke.
23 耶稣所爱的那名门徒坐在他身边，侧身靠近耶稣。
Now there was at table one of his disciples in the bosom of Jesus, whom Jesus loved.
24 彼得向他示意，让他询问耶稣这个叛徒到底是谁。
Simon Peter makes a sign therefore to him to ask who it might be of whom he spoke.
25 于是那个门徒倾斜身体贴近耶稣，问到：“主啊，是谁呢？”
But he, leaning on the breast of Jesus, says to him, Lord, who is it?
26 耶稣回答：“我蘸一小块饼，把它给谁就是那个人了。”
Jesus answers, He it is to whom I, after I have dipped the morsel, give it. And having dipped the morsel, he gives it to Judas [son] of Simon, Iscariote.
27 于是他蘸了一小块饼，递给加略人西门的儿子犹大。犹大接过饼以后，撒旦就进入他的身体。耶稣对他说：“你想做什么，快去做吧。”
And, after the morsel, then entered Satan into him. Jesus therefore says to him, What thou doest, do quickly.
28 在座众人都不知道耶稣为什么这样对犹大说话。
But none of those at table knew why he said this to him;
29 由于犹大负责管钱，所以有人以为耶稣是叫他去购买逾越节所需用品，或是拿点东西去接济穷人。
for some supposed, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus was saying to him, Buy the things of which we have need for the feast; or that he should give something to the poor.
30 犹大吃了饼后立刻就离开，走进了一片黑夜。
Having therefore received the morsel, he went out immediately; and it was night.
31 他离开后，耶稣就说：“现在人子已获得荣耀，上帝也通过人子获得荣耀，
When therefore he was gone out Jesus says, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.
32 上帝如果通过人子获得荣耀，也将会让人子获得荣耀，并且会立刻这么做。
If God be glorified in him, God also shall glorify him in himself, and shall glorify him immediately.
33 我的孩子们，我与你们在一起的时候不多了。你们会寻找我，但我要把对犹太人所说的告诉你们：‘我去的地方，你们不能去。’
Children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me; and, as I said to the Jews, Where I go ye cannot come, I say to you also now.
34 我现在要给你们一个新命令：要爱彼此，要像我爱你们的方式爱彼此。
A new commandment I give to you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
35 如果你们爱彼此，你就是向所有人证明，你们是我的门徒。”
By this shall all know that ye are disciples of mine, if ye have love amongst yourselves.
36 彼得对耶稣说：“主啊，你要去哪里？”耶稣回答：“我去的地方，你现在无法跟随，但今后会跟上我。”
Simon Peter says to him, Lord, where goest thou? Jesus answered him, Where I go thou canst not follow me now, but thou shalt follow me after.
37 彼得说：“主啊，为什么我现在不能跟随你？为了你，要我放弃生命也可以！”
Peter says to him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for thee.
38 耶稣说：“你愿意为我放弃生命吗？告诉你实话，鸡叫之前，你一定会有三次不认我。”
Jesus answers, Thou wilt lay down thy life for me! Verily, verily, I say to thee, The cock shall not crow till thou hast denied me thrice.
