彼得前书 5
1 我想鼓励你们中的长老们。我也是一名长老，是基督受难的见证人，那即将到来的荣耀将有我的一份。
The elders among you I exhort, who am a fellow-elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, who am also a sharer in the glory that is to be revealed;
2 看好上帝赐予你、让你照顾的羊群，不是因为你被迫这样做，而是因为高兴，因为上帝希望你这样做。你要心甘情愿地这样做，而不是想从中获利。
tend the flock of God which is among you, overseeing it, not by constraint, but willingly; not for base gain, but with ready mind;
3 不要狂妄自大，凌驾于被你照顾之人之上，而是要成为羊群的榜样。
not as lording it over your allotted charge, but being examples to the flock;
4 当牧长显现之时，你将获得永不衰败的荣耀冠冕。
and when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye will receive the crown of glory that fadeth not away.
5 年轻人，按照长老的吩咐去做。事实上，你们所有人都应该谦卑地为彼此服务，因为“上帝反对骄傲之人，偏爱谦卑之人。”
In like manner, ye younger men, submit yourselves to the elder; and all of you be clothed with humility toward each other; for “God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble.”
6 在上帝强大的手面前要谦卑，这样他就会在适当的时候把你举起来。
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time;
7 把你所有的忧愁都交给他，因为他在乎你。
casting all your care upon him, because he careth for you.
8 要负责任，保持警惕。魔鬼是你的敌人，像咆哮的狮子一样四处游荡，寻找可以吞噬之人。
Be sober, be watchful. Your adversary the Devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour;
9 要坚定地反对他，相信上帝。记住，世界各地其他和你一样的信徒，也正在经历类似的问题。
whom resist, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are being accomplished in your brethren in the world.
But the God of all grace, who called you to his everlasting glory in Christ Jesus, will, after ye have suffered a while, himself make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you. (aiōnios g166)
12 我是在西尔瓦努斯的帮助下，将这封信寄给你们，他是我值得信赖的兄弟。通过我所写的这些文字，我想鼓励你们并见证这是上帝真正的恩典。要坚定地站在上帝的恩典中！
By Silvanus, the faithful brother as I think, I have written to you in few words, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand.

The church in Babylon, chosen with you, saluteth you; and Mark, my son.
