< Zekhariah 5 >

1 Bout kamoung navah, kamleng e cakalawng hah ka hmu.
And once more lifted I mine eyes, and looked, —and lo! a Flying Volume.
2 Kalvantami ni nang bangmaw na hmu telah na pacei navah, kamleng e cakalawng ka hmu, asaw e dong 20, akaw e dong hra touh a pha ka ti pouh.
And he said unto me, What canst thou see? So I said, I, can see a flying volume, the length thereof, twenty by the cubit, and, the breadth thereof, ten by the cubit.
3 Kalvantami ni hai hote cakalawng teh ram pueng koung katin e thoebonae doeh ati. Ka parawt e naw pueng teh cakalawng e avanglah kaawm e patetlah koung raphoe lah ao han. Thoebo ka ngam e pueng teh hote cakalawng avanglah kaawm e patetlah koung raphoe lah ao han.
Then said he unto me, This, is the curse, which is going forth over the face of all the earth, —Because, every one who stealeth, on the one side, hath in one way been let off, and, every one who sweareth, on the other side, hath in another way been let off,
4 Ransahu BAWIPA ni a dei e teh, hote cakalawng hah kai ni ka rasa han. Tamru e imthung thoseh, ka min lahoi kahmanhoeh e thoebonae ka sak e imthung dawk thoseh, thingpheknaw, talungnaw, hoi cungtalah, hote imthungnaw dawk a pha han a ti.
[therefore] have I brought it forth, Declareth Yahweh of hosts, And it shall enter—into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth by my name, falsely, —and it shall roost in the midst of his house, and shall consume it, both the timbers thereof, and the stones thereof.
5 Kai hoi ka pato roi e kalvantami ni bout a tâco teh, atu ka tâcawt e hno hah khenhaw! telah na ti pouh.
Then came forward, the messenger who was talking with me, —and said unto me—Lift up, I pray thee, thine eyes, and see what this is which is coming forth.
6 Hot hah bang na maw telah kai ni ka pacei navah, hote teh ka tâcawt e takho doeh telah ati. Hottelah, ram pueng dawk, amamae a noenae doeh a ti.
And I said, What is it? Then said he, This, is an ephah that is coming forth. And he said, This, is their iniquity, throughout all the land.
7 Kawnlawk manang hra touh a tawmtakhang teh, napui buet touh takho dawk a tahung e hah ka hmu.
And lo! a leaden disc uplifted, —and here a certain woman, sitting inside the ephah.
8 Kalvantami nihaiyah hote napui teh yonnae doeh a titeh ahni hah takho thungvah a ta hnukkhu takho van vah kawnlawk hah a ta.
Then said he, This, is Lawlessness. So he thrust her back inside the ephah, —and then thrust the leaden weight into the mouth thereof.
9 Bout ka khet nah, kahrawngum e âcawmpai e rathei patetlah kaawm e napui kahni touh teh, kahlî dawk a rathei hoi a tâco. Hote ephah hah talai hoi kalvan rahak a tawm awh.
Then lifted I up mine eyes and looked, and lo! Two Women coming forward, with the wind in their wings, and, they, had wings, like the wings of the stork, —and bare up the ephah, between the earth and the heavens.
10 Hote ephah hah bangtelamaw a tawm awh telah kai hoi kâdei roi e kalvantami hah ka pacei.
Then said I unto the messenger who was speaking with me, —Whither are they carrying the ephah?
11 mShinar ram vah im sak pouh hanelah a tawm toe. Hote ram dawk a ma pâhung nahane tungkhung dawk a pâhung awh teh a ta awh han, telah a ti.
And he said unto me, To build for it a house in the land of Shinar, —so shall it be ready, and they shall settle it there, upon its own base?
