< Zekhariah 2 >
1 Bout kamoung nah, bangnuenae rui ka sin e tami buet touh ka hmu.
Then lifted I up mine eyes and looked, and lo! a Man, —and, in his hand, a Measuring Line.
2 Na lah maw na cei han telah ka pacei navah Jerusalem khopui abueng akaw e bangnue hanlah ka cei telah a ti.
And I said, Whither art thou going? And he said unto me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what [should be] the breadth thereof, and what the length thereof.
3 Kai hoi ka pato roi e kalvantami a cei teh, alouke kalvantami ni na dawn teh, nang ni na yawng vaiteh thoundoun koe na dei pouh hane teh,
And lo! the messenger who was talking with me, coming forward, —and another messenger, coming forward to meet him.
4 Jerusalem khocanaw, tami hoi saringnaw apap poung dawkvah khonaw dawk na o awh han.
So he said unto him, Run, speak unto this young man, saying: Like open villages, shall Jerusalem remain, for the multitude of men and cattle in her midst;
5 BAWIPA ni a dei e teh, Kai teh khopui kalupnae hmai rapan lah ka o. Khopui lungui haiyah kai teh khopui e bawilennae lah ka o han.
And, I, will become to her, declareth Yahweh, A wall of fire round about, —and, a glory, will I become in her midst.
6 Oe nangmouh, Oe nangmouh, atunglah hoi yawng awh haw, telah BAWIPA ni ati. Kalvan rahim a takin pali touh koe na ka kahei sak awh toe telah BAWIPA ni a ti.
Ho! ho! flee ye, therefore, out of the land of the North, urgeth Yahweh. For, as the four winds of the heavens, have I spread you abroad, declareth Yahweh.
7 Babilon canu koe kaawm e Zion canunaw puenghoi yawng awh leih.
Ho! Zion, deliver thyself, —thou that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon. For,

9 Ahnimouh ka tuk vaiteh a sannaw ka thei pouh han. ransahu BAWIPA ni kai na patoun e heh nangmouh ni na panue awh han.
For behold me! brandishing my hand over them, and they shall become a spoil unto their own slaves, —and ye shall know that, Yahweh of hosts, hath sent me.
10 Oe, Zion canu lunghawi hoi la sak haw, kai nangmouh koe ka tho vaiteh nangmouh lungui ka o han telah BAWIPA ni a ti.
Sing out and rejoice, O daughter of Zion, —For behold me! coming in, and I will make my habitation in thy midst, declareth Yahweh.

Then shall many nations, join themselves, unto Yahweh, in that day, and shall become my people, —and I will make my habitation in thy midst, so shalt thou know that, Yahweh of hosts, hath sent me unto thee.
12 BAWIPA ni kho kathoung dawk Judah ram hah ama hanlah râw lah a coe vaiteh Jerusalem hah bout a rawi han.
Thus will Yahweh inherit Judah, his portion, on the soil of the sanctuary, —and make choice, yet again, of Jerusalem.
13 Oe, taminaw pueng BAWIPA hmalah sairasuepcalah awm awh, kathounge onae hmuen dawk a thaw toe.
Hush! all flesh, before Yahweh, —For he hath roused himself up out of his holy dwelling.
