1 Kai Pawl, Cathut e a san lah kaawm niteh, Cathut ni a rawi e taminaw e yuemnae hanlah, Jisuh Khrih e guncei lah kaawm e, Cathut koe lah lawkkatang ka kangdoutkhai kung,
Paul, bondman of God, and apostle of Jesus Christ according to [the] faith of God's elect, and knowledge of [the] truth which [is] according to piety;
2 A lai kathout hoeh e Cathut ni, talai a kamtawng hoehnahlan lawk sut a hruek tangcoung e, a yungyoe hringnae hah ngaihawinae, (aiōnios g166)
in [the] hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before the ages of time, (aiōnios g166)
3 A tue a pha toteh a lawk a pâpho e lahoi, a kamnue sak teh, hote lawk hah maimouh na ka rungngangkung Cathut e kâpoelawk patetlah kai koe patue lah kaawm e ni,
but has manifested in its own due season his word, in [the] proclamation with which I have been entrusted, according to [the] commandment of our Saviour God;

to Titus, my own child according to [the] faith common [to us]: Grace and peace from God [the] Father, and Christ Jesus our Saviour.
5 Kai ni lawk sut na thui tangcoung e patetlah Krete tuilum vah cum hoeh rae pueng pacum thai nahan, kho tangkuem vah kacuenaw na rawi pouh nahanelah, na hruek e doeh.
For this cause I left thee in Crete, that thou mightest go on to set right what remained [unordered], and establish elders in each city, as I had ordered thee:

if any one be free from all charge [against him], husband of one wife, having believing children not accused of excess or unruly.
7 Bangkongtetpawiteh, bishop teh Cathut e hno ka kuemkung patetlah tounhoehe, takngainae dawk ka hring hoeh e, a lung kaduem hoeh e, misurtui ka kâso hoeh e, ayâ hoi ka kâhem hoeh e, kaheng lah tangka tawn ka panki hoeh e tami han.
For the overseer must be free from all charge [against him] as God's steward; not headstrong, not passionate, not disorderly through wine, not a striker, not seeking gain by base means;
8 Imyin ka khenyawn thai e tami, tami kathoungnaw ka lungpataw e, a lungthin ka lan e, tamikalan lah kaawm e, tami kathoung lah kaawm e, ka kâcakuep thai e, tami han.
but hospitable, a lover of goodness, discreet, just, pious, temperate,
9 Kathounge cangkhainae hoi a cangkhai thai nahan, katang hoeh e cangkhai e naw a pathung thai han, a kamtu tangcoung e yuemkamcue e lawk kacaklah ka kuen e tami han.
clinging to the faithful word according to the doctrine taught, that he may be able both to encourage with sound teaching and refute gainsayers.
10 Bangkongtetpawiteh, lawk ka ngai hoeh e tami, ayawmyin e lawk ka dei e tami hoi a lai kathoute tami moi ao awh. A lawkpui lah vuensoma e taminaw thung ao awh.
For there are many and disorderly vain speakers and deceivers of people's minds, specially those of [the] circumcision,
11 Ahnimae a pahni hah cakuep pouh awh. Ahnimouh teh kaheng lahoi hno tawn hane a panki awh. Cangkhai kawi hoeh e naw hah a cangkhai awh teh, imthung abuemlah lam a phen sak awh.
who must have their mouths stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which ought not [to be taught] for the sake of base gain.
12 Ahnimouh thung e profet buet touh niyah, Kretenaw pueng a laithoe awh, a matheng a paan awh. A kâsokâroum awh teh, a pangakpasa awh ati.
One of themselves, a prophet of their own, has said, Cretans are always liars, evil wild beasts, lazy gluttons.
13 Hete lawkpanuesaknae teh a tang tangngak. Hatdawkvah, ahnimouh hah raprap yue loe, yuemnae dawk a thoung awh nahanelah.
This testimony is true; for which cause rebuke them severely, that they may be sound in the faith,
14 Judahnaw e lairuipakong hoi lawkkatang hnamthun takhainaw kâpoelawknaw hah tarawi pouh hanh.
not turning [their] minds to Jewish fables and commandments of men turning away from the truth.
15 Kathounge naw koe teh bangpueng a thoung. Kathounghoehe naw, ka yuem hoeh e naw koe teh bangpueng hai thoung hoeh. Amamae lungthin hoi, mahoima kâpanuenae lungthin pateng boehai thoung hoeh.
All things [are] pure to the pure; but to the defiled and unbelieving nothing [is] pure; but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.
16 Cathut ka panue toe ka kâtet awh nakunghai, thaw a tawk awh e lahoi, Cathut a hnoun awh. Panuet ka tho e tami, lawk ka ngai hoeh e tami, kahawi e hno buet touh boehai ka sak panuek hoeh e tami lah ao awh.
They profess to know God, but in works deny [him], being abominable, and disobedient, and found worthless as to every good work.
