< Titu 2 >

1 Nang teh kathounge cangkhainae hoi ka kamcu e pueng hah pâpho haw.
But do, thou, speak the things which become the healthful instruction: —
2 Tongpa matawngnaw teh, kâhruetcuet e, a lung kacake amahoima kâcakuep e, yuemnae, lungpatawnae, panguepnae dawk a lung thahmei e tami lah o nahanelah pâpho pouh.
That, aged men, be, sober, grave, sober-minded, healthy in their faith, love, endurance;
3 Hot patetvanlah, napui matawngnaw hai, nuencang kathoung lah kaawm e, a khuekhaw kaawm hoeh lah ayânaw yon ka pen hoeh e, misurtui ka kâso hoeh e, hnokahawi kacangkhaikung lah ao awh nahan pâpho pouh.
Aged women, in the same way, in deportment, as becometh sacred persons, not given to intrigue, nor yet, to much wine, enslaved, teachers of virtue, —
4 Hot patetvanlah, napui kanawnaw ni a vânaw lungpataw awh nahan, a canaw lungpataw awh nahan,
That they may constrain the young women to be, lovers of their husbands, lovers of their children,
5 kacuemkamui lah kathoung lah imlaw ka picai e lah, tami kahawi lah, vâ lawk ka ngai e lah, ao awh teh Cathut lawk pathoe e lah ao hoeh nahan napui matawngnaw ni a cangkhai awh nahan,
soberminded, chaste, workers at home, good, submitting themselves to their own husbands, —that, the word of God, be not defamed;
6 hot patetvanlah, tongpa kanawnaw nihai, lawk a ngâi thai nahan cangkhai loe.
The younger men, in the same way, exhort thou to be sober-minded:
7 Bangpueng koe kahawi e nuen kamtu kawi e lah kamnuek sak. Cangkhainae na sak navah katang e cangkhainae, lungcaknae, barilawa kawi lah onae,
In all things, shewing, thyself, an ensample of noble works, —in thine instruction, uncorruptness, gravity,
8 toun kaawm hoeh e, kathounge lawk deinae, kahawihoehe lawk a dei thai awh hoeh nahanelah, a kaya awh nahan kamnuek sak.
healthful discourse that cannot be condemned, in order that, he that is of the contrary part, may relent, having nothing to say concerning us that is disparaging:
9 Sannaw ni amamae bawi lawk a ngâi awh teh hno puengpa dawk lung ahawi sak awh nahan,
Servants, unto their own masters, to be submitting themselves in all things, to be, well-pleasing, not gainsaying,
10 kutsaveksai laipalah, bangpatet e lawkkam e nakunghai kamcengcalah kamnue sak awh nahan, bangpuengpa dawk na ka rungngangkung Cathut e kathounge cangkhainae hoi a kamthoup awh nahan dei pouh nateh yue lah a.
not taking anything away, shewing, all good faith, —that, the instruction which is of our Saviour God, they may adorn in all things.
11 Bangkongtetpawiteh, Cathut e lungmanae teh tami pueng koe a kamnue teh, tami pueng koe rungngangnae hah a tho khai.
For the favour of God, bringing salvation for all men, hath shone forth,
12 Cathutlaipanae, hoi talaivan hno noenae pahnawt teh, mahoima lungthin thoungnae, cathutlae hringnae hoi hring awh thai nahanelah, Cathut lungmanae ni atutueng vah na cangkhai awh. (aiōn g165)
Putting us under discipline—in order that, —denying ourselves of ungodliness and worldly covetings, in a soberminded and righteous and godly manner, we should live, in the present age, (aiōn g165)
13 Ka lentoe poung e Cathut hoi rungngangkung Jisuh Khrih ni bawilen poung lahoi, a kamnue nahane, yawhawi ngaihawinae ring hanelah cangkhai e lah ao.
Prepared to welcome the happy hope and forthshining of the glory of the great God and our Saviour Christ Jesus, —
14 Yonnae pueng thung hoi na ratang awh nahan, nuen kahawi koe lah cak awh teh, ama hanelah thoungsak nahan Bawi Jisuh Khrih ni amahoima a kâhmoun toe.
Who gave himself up in our behalf, that he might redeem us from all manner of lawlessness, and purify for himself a people as his own treasure—zealous of noble works.
15 Hete hnonaw hah kâtawnnae abuemlahoi cangkhaih, tha poe nateh kâtawnnae lahoi yue lah a. Apinihai nang na dudam hanh naseh.
As to these things, be speaking and exhorting and reproving, with all manner of precept: let, no one, disregard thee!
