Whither is thy beloved gone, O thou fairest among women? whither is thy beloved turned aside? that we may seek him with thee.
2 Ka pahren teh, a pawnaw cat vaiteh, lili peinaw ka la han a titeh, takha thung hmuitui onae koe lah a cei toe.
My beloved is gone down into his garden, to the beds of spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies.
3 Ka pahren hanelah kai teh ka o. Ka pahren hai kai hanelah ao. Ayawn dawk ka pouh e lah ao.
I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine: he feedeth among the lilies.
4 Ka pahren e ka tawncanu, nang teh Tirzah kho patetlah na mei ahawi. Jerusalem kho patetlah ngai ao. Taran kâtuknae koe e patetlah taki kawi lah na o.
Thou art beautiful, O my love, as Tirzah, comely as Jerusalem, terrible as an army with banners.

Turn away thine eyes from me, for they have overcome me: thy hair is as a flock of goats that appear from Gilead.
6 Nange na hânaw teh tui pâhluknae koehoi ka luen e tuhu patetlah ao. Buet touh hai kahmat hoeh. Kamphei e dueng doeh a khe awh.
Thy teeth are as a flock of sheep which go up from the washing, whereof every one beareth twins, and there is not one barren among them.
7 Na minhmai ramuknae thung kaawm e na tangboungnaw teh talepaw tangawntangai hoi a kâvan.
As a piece of a pomegranate are thy temples within thy locks.
8 Siangpahrang napui 60, a yu ado lah 80, touklek thai hoeh e tanglakacuemnaw ao.
There are threescore queens, and fourscore concubines, and virgins without number.
9 Kaie bakhu, kaie ka kuep e, buet touh dueng doeh kaawm. Ahni ka khe e manu ni a pahren poung e lah ao. Tanglanaw ni ahni hah a hmu teh, yawhawi a poe awh. Siangpahrangnu hoi a yudonaw ni hai ahni teh a pholen awh.
My dove, my undefiled is but one; she is the only one of her mother, she is the choice one of her that bare her. The daughters saw her, and blessed her; yea, the queens and the concubines, and they praised her.
10 Thapa patetlah ahawi teh, kanî patetlah a sei teh, tarankâtuknae koe e patetlah taki hanlah na o. Amom patetlah ngaihawi laihoi ka khen e teh apimaw.
Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners?
11 Kai teh misurkung roung hai a roung hoeh hai, Tale a pei hoi a pei hoeh e hai panue hanelah, ka khetyawt hanelah takha koe ka cei.
I went down into the garden of nuts to see the fruits of the valley, and to see whether the vine flourished, and the pomegranates budded.
12 Kai ka panue hoehnahlan vah, ka muitha teh, Aminadab leng dawk kâcuie patetlah ao.
Or ever I was aware, my soul made me like the chariots of Amminadib.
13 Oe Sulammit, bout tho haw. Kaimouh ni nang teh na hmu thai nahanelah bout tho haw. Bout tho haw. Sulammit dawk bang hno maw a hmu awh han vai. Ransahu bokhni touh e patetlah a hmu awh han.
Return, return, O Shulamite; return, return, that we may look upon thee. What will ye see in the Shulamite? As it were the company of two armies.
