< Solomon La 2 >
1 Kai teh Sharon e rosi pei hoi kâvan teh ayawn dawk e lili pei lah ka o.
I am a flower of the plain, a lily of the valleys.
2 Ka pahren e nang teh, ka lungpataw e tangla, pâkhingum e, lili pei patetlah na o.
As a lily among thorns, so is my companion among the daughters.
3 Kahrawngum ka paw e Epal thingkung patetlah ka pahren nang teh, thoundounnaw e rahak na o. Kai teh ahnie tâhlip dawk kanawmca lah ka o teh, a paw teh kai hanelah a radip poung oe.
As the apple among the trees of the wood, so is my kinsman among the sons. I desired his shadow, and sat down, and his fruit was sweet in my throat.
4 Ahni ni kai teh buvennae im koe na hrawi teh, kaie lathueng a yap e hni teh a lungpatawnae doeh.
Bring me into the wine house; set love before me.
5 Kai teh ngaipatawnae hoi ka o dawkvah misur hoi Epal paw hoi lung bout na pahawi haw.
Strengthen me with perfumes, stay me with apples: for I [am] wounded with love.
6 Ahnie avoilae a kut ka lû rahim a ta teh, aranglae kut hoi na takawi na seh.
His left [hand shall be] under my head, and his right hand shall embrace me.
7 Oe Jerusalem canu ka pahren e teh, a mahmawk a kâhlaw hoeh roukrak na pâhlaw awh hoeh nahanelah, kahrawng e sayuk sakhinaw thoebo laihoi nangmouh teh lawk na thui awh.
I have charged you, ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the powers and by the virtues of the field, that ye do not rouse or wake [my] love, until he please.
8 Khenhaw! ka pahren e lawk doeh. Montang monruinaw yawngtapue laihoi a tho.
The voice of my kinsman! behold, he comes leaping over the mountains, bounding over the hills.
9 Ka pahren e teh, sayuk sakhi ca patetlah ao. Rapan lawilah a kangdue. Hlalangaw koe a khet teh, hlalangaw koe a kâpâtue.
My kinsman is like a roe or a young hart on the mountains of Baethel: behold, he is behind our wall, looking through the windows, peeping through the lattices.
10 Ka pahren ni na kaw teh, a dei e lawk teh, ka pahren poung e tangla, a meikahawi e, thaw nateh tho haw.
My kinsman answers, and says to me, Rise up, come, my companion, my fair one, my dove.
11 Khenhaw! kasik hai aloum teh cotui hai abaw toe.
For, behold, the winter is past, the rain is gone, it has departed.
12 Talai van vah, a peinaw a kamhlawng toe. Tavanaw hai a cainae tue a pha toe. Maimae ram vah, bakhu lawk hai thai toe.
The flowers are seen in the land; the time of pruning has arrived; the voice of the turtle-dove has been heard in our land.
13 Thaibunglung kung a pawnaw hai a hmin toe. Misurkung hai a pei teh, a hmuitui toe. Ka pahren e ka imlawinu, a meikahawi poung e, thaw nateh tho leih.
The fig-tree has put forth its young figs, the vines put forth the tender grape, they yield a smell: arise, come, my companion, my fair one, my dove; yea, come.
14 Lungsong rahak e bakhu, na mei heh na hmawt sak haw. Na lawk hai na thaisak haw. Na lawk a rading teh na mei teh ngai ao poung.
[Thou art] my dove, in the shelter of the rock, near the wall: shew me thy face, and cause me to hear thy voice; for thy voice is sweet, and thy countenance is beautiful.
15 Maimae misurnaw teh a pei lahun toung dawkvah, misurkungnaw ka raphoe hane Asuinaw hoi Asuicanaw hah man awh.
Take us the little foxes that spoil the vines: for our vines put forth tender grapes.
16 Kaie ka pahren e teh kai hanelah ao e patetlah kai hai ahni hanelah ka o. Ahni teh tucahunaw hah kahrawngum a khoum teh a kawkhik.
My kinsman is mine, and I am his: he feeds [his flock] among the lilies.
17 Khohmo a kahma teh, khodai totouh ka pahren teh Bether mon dawk e sayuk sakhi patetlah doeh ao.
Until the day dawn, and the shadows depart, turn, my kinsman, be thou like to a roe or young hart on the mountains of the ravines.
