< Rom 1 >

1 Kai Pawl, Jisuh Khrih e a san, Cathut ni a kamthang kahawi pâpho hanlah, na rawi teh na kaw e, guncei lah kaawm e ni ca na patawn awh.
Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, a called apostle, separated unto the glad-message of God—
2 Hote kamthang kahawi teh Cathut ni ahmaloe hoi profetnaw koe na kam pouh tangcoung e hoi, Cakathoung dawk a thut tangcoung lah kaawm e,
Which he promised beforehand, through his prophets, in holy scriptures—
3 Cathut Capa Jisuh Khrih e kong hah doeh. Tami koe lahoi teh Devit catoun lah ao.
Concerning his Son, —who came to be of the seed of David, according to flesh,
4 Thoungnae Muitha bahu lahoi duenae koehoi boutthawnae, Cathut capa lah a onae, heh a kamnue sak.
Who was distinguished as the Son of God—by power, according to a Holy Spirit, through means of a resurrection of the dead, —Jesus Christ our Lord;
5 Hote Bawipa min lahoi Jentelnaw pueng ni yuemnae hoi Cathut lawkngainae koe pha sak nahanelah, guncei lah coungnae coe awh.
Through whom we have received favour and apostleship, for obedience of faith among all the nations, in behalf of his name,
6 Nangmouh hai hote Jentel miphun lah na o awh teh, Jisuh Khrih hoi na kâkuet awh nahanelah, kaw e lah na o awh.
Among whom are, ye also, called of Jesus Christ:
7 Hottelah Cathut ni a pahren teh tami kathoung lah a kaw e Rom kho kaawm e naw pueng koe, hete ca heh ka thut. Maimae Pa Cathut hoi, Bawipa Jisuh Khrih koehoi lungmanae hoi lungmawngnae teh nangmouh koe awm lawiseh.
Unto all that are in Rome, beloved of God, called saints, favour unto you, and peace, from God our Father and Lord Jesus Christ.
8 Nangmae yuemnae teh talaivan pueng a kamthang dawkvah, nangmouh hanelah kaie Cathut koe Jisuh Khrih lahoi hmaloe ka lunghawi.
First, indeed, I give thanks unto my God, through Jesus Christ, concerning you all, because your faith is being announced throughout the whole world.
9 Ouk ka ratoum navah nangmouh pou na pouk awh teh, Cathut ngainae awm pawiteh, hnin hnin touh hnin teh bangte lahoi ne nangmouh koe ka pha thai nahane lam a aw nahan ouk ka ratoum.
For God is, my witness, —unto whom I am rendering divine service in my spirit, in the glad message of his Son, —how incessantly, I am making mention of you
10 Capa e kamthang kahawi ka pâpho teh, ka muitha lahoi ka bawk e Cathut hah kai kapanuekkhaikung lah ao.
At all times in my prayers, —making supplication—if, by some means, even now, at any time, I may have a way opened, in the will of God, to come unto you;
11 Bangkongmaw nangmouh kâhmo hanlah ka ngai tetpawiteh, nangmouh hah muitha poehno buetbuet touh rei teh, na cak awh nahanelah thapoe hanelah ka ngai poung dawk doeh.
For I am longing to see you, that I may impart some spiritual gift unto you, to the end ye may be established, —
12 Hottelah ka ti navah kaie yuemnae ni nangmouh tha na poe teh, nangmae yuemnae ni kai tha na poe teh, yuemnae lahoi buet touh hoi buet touh lungkâpatawnae coe awh nahane doeh.
That is to say—there may be a mutual encouragement among you, each by the other’s faith, both yours and mine.
I do not wish however that ye should be ignorant, brethren, that, many times, have I purposed to come unto you, but have been hindered, until the present, —in order that, some fruit, I might have among you also, even as among the other nations,
14 Kai teh Griknaw, tamipathunaw, a lungkaangnaw, hoi miphun pueng koe laiba ka tawn e lah ka o.
Both to Greeks and to Barbarians, both to wise and to unwise, a debtor, I am:
15 Hatdawkvah, Rom kho kaawm e nangmouh koe a coung thai totouh kamthang kahawi pâpho hanlah coungkacoe lah ka o.
Thus, the eagerness on my part—unto you also who are in Rome, to announce the joyful message.
16 Kai teh Khrih e kamthang kahawi kecu dawk kayanae ka tawn hoeh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, hote kamthang kahawi teh ahmaloe vah Judahnaw, hahoi Griknaw koe pâpho lah o teh, ka yuem e tami pueng ka rungngangnae Cathut e bahu doeh.
For I am not ashamed of the joyful message; for it is God’s power unto salvation, to every one that believeth, both to Jew [first] and to Greek;
17 Cakathoung ni vah, tamikalan teh yuemnae lahoi a hring han ati e patetlah, yuemnae dawk hoi e Cathut lannae teh akung hoi a hmo ditouh hete kamthang kahawi dawk a kamnue.
For, a righteousness of God, is therein revealed, —by faith unto faith: even as it is written—But, he that is righteous, by faith, shall live.
18 Lawkkatang ka ngang e taminaw, Cathut laipalah khosaknae naw hoi kamsoumhoehe khosaknae naw pueng dawk kalvan hoi Cathut lungkhueknae teh a pha.
For there is being revealed an anger of God from heaven—against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who, the truth, in unrighteousness, do hold down; —
19 Bangkongtetpawiteh, panue kawi e Cathut e a kong naw teh ahnimanaw koe a kamnue toe. Cathut ni ahnimouh koe a pâpho toe.
Inasmuch as, what may be known of God, is manifest among them, for, God, unto them, hath made it manifest, —
20 Bangtelah hoi maw a pâpho tetpawiteh, talaivan pek a kamtawng hoi Cathut e hmuthaihoehe a yungyoe bawilennae, a Cathutnae teh, a sak e hnonaw dawk hoi kamcengcalah panue thai kawi lah ao dawkvah, ahnimouh ni kâtang thai mahoeh. (aïdios g126)
For, the unseen things of him, from a world’s creation, by the things made, being perceived, are clearly seen, even his eternal power and divinity, —to the end they should be without excuse; (aïdios g126)
21 Bangkongtetpawiteh, ahnimouh ni Cathut hah a panue awh nahlangva vah, Cathut pholen hane totouh pholen a hoeh. A lungmanae hai noutna a hoeh. Ayawmyinlah pouknae hoi lungthin pathunae koe a pha awh.
Inasmuch as, having come to know God, not, as God, did they glorify him, or give him thanks, but were made fruitless in their reasonings, and darkened was their undiscerning heart,
22 Ahnimouh teh amamouh hoi amamouh a lungkaang e patetlah a kâsak awh nahlangva vah, ka pathu e lah ao awh.
Professing to be wise, they were made foolish,
23 Kamko thai hoeh e Cathut e a bawilennae hah a pahnawt awh teh, kamko thai e, tami, tava naw, a khok pali touh e moithangnaw, vonpui hoi kâva e moithangnaw hoi kâvan e meikaphawknaw hah Cathut e yueng lah a ta awh.
And, exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God, for the likeness of an image of a corruptible man, and of birds and fourfooted beasts and reptiles:
24 Hatdawkvah, ahnimanaw teh buet touh hoi buet touh a kâbari awh hoeh nahan, amamae lungngai e patetlah khinnae kut dawk Cathut ni a poe awh.
Wherefore God gave them up in the covetings of their hearts unto impurity, so as to be dishonouring their bodies among them, —
25 Ahnimouh ni lawkkatang Cathut yueng lah a kaphawk e cathut hah a tâ awh teh, kasakkung Cathut a pahnawt awh. A sak e hno hah a bawk awh. Hote Bawipa teh a yungyoe yawhawinae awmseh. Amen. (aiōn g165)
Who, indeed, exchanged away the truth of God for the falsehood, and rendered worship and service unto the creature rather than unto the Creator, —who is blessed unto the ages. Amen! (aiōn g165)
26 Hottelah a sak awh dawkvah, ahnimanaw teh kayanae kut dawk Cathut ni a poe toe. Bangtelamaw tetpawiteh, napuinaw ni, tongpa hoi onae heh a pahnawt awh teh, napui reira ao awh.
For this cause, God gave them up unto dishonourable passions; for, even their females, exchanged away the natural use into that which is against nature, —
27 Hot patetvanlah, tongpanaw ni hai napui hoi onae phung a pahnawt awh teh, buet touh hoi buet touh cuknae hmai patetlah a kak awh teh, kayatho poung e tongpa reira a hmawng awh teh, amamae a yon awh e patetlah lawkcengnae teh a kâhmo awh.
In like manner also, even the males, leaving the natural use of the female, flamed out in their eager desire one for another, males with males, the indecency, effecting, —and, the necessary recompence of their error, within themselves, duly receiving; —
28 Hothloilah ahnimouh ni Cathut panue han a ngai awh hoeh dawkvah, hno kahawihoeh a sak awh nahanelah, Cathut ni hounlounnae kut dawk ahnimouh teh a poe toe.
And, even as they did not approve to be holding, God, in acknowledgment, God gave them up unto a disapproved mind to be doing the things that are not becoming,
29 Ahnimanaw teh hno kahawihoeh saknae a phunphun, kamsoumhoehe napui tongpa yonnae, mawikainae, hounlounnae, hounroenae,
Filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, baseness, full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil disposition,
30 Utsinnae, tami theinae, kayanae, dumyennae, tami hmungaihoehnae, mathengpaanae, kâoupkâpawinae, thoum kawi hoeh e thoumnae, manu na pa lawkngaihoehnae, kâhruetcuethoehnae,
Whisperers, detractors, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, vain boasters, inventors of vices, unto parents unyielding,
31 thaipanuekhoehnae, lawkkamcakhoehnae, lungkâpatawhoehnae, ngaithoum thaihoehnae, pahrenhoehnae lungthin ka tawn e tami lah ao awh.
Without discernment, regardless of covenants, without natural affection, unmerciful: —
32 Hottelah kaawm e tami teh a due hane roeroe lah ao telah Cathut ni ati e heh a panue awh nahlangva, amamouh ni a sak dueng laipalah hottelah ka sak e taminaw koehai a lungkuep awh.
Who, indeed, having acknowledged the righteous sentence of God, —that, they who such things as these do practise, are worthy of death, not only, the same things, are doing, but are even delighting together with them who are practising [them].
