< Rom 3 >
1 Hat pawiteh, Judah tami ni bangmaw meknae kaawm. Vuensomanae ni bangmaw hawinae kaawm.
What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit [is there] of circumcision?
2 Ahawinae aphunphun ao. Hmaloe vah, vuensoma lah kaawm e Judahnaw teh Cathut lawk hah a coe awh.
Much every way: chiefly, because that to them were committed the oracles of God.
3 Hat pawiteh, ahnimouh thungvah ka yuem hoeh e awm pawiteh bangtelane ahnimae yuemhoehnae ni Cathut yuemkamcunae hah a kâ raphoe sak han na maw.
For what if some did not believe? will their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?
4 Kâ raphoe mahoeh. Cathut ni a lawk lahoi lannae lah a coe teh, lawkceng toteh tâ nahanelah, Cakathoung dawk thut e patetlah tami pueng teh laithoe kadeikung lah ao awh ei, Cathut teh kalan e lah awm naseh, telah ati.
By no means: verily let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mayest be justified in thy sayings, and mayest overcome when thou art judged.
5 Hatnavah, maimae lanhoehnae ni Cathut lannae kamnuek sak pawiteh, bangtelamaw dei awh han. Tami koe lahoi dei pawiteh, lungkhueknae ka phat sak e Cathut teh kalan hoeh e Bawipa lah maw ao.
But if our unrighteousness commendeth the righteousness of God, what shall we say? [Is] God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man.)
6 Hottelah khoeroe awm hoeh. Hottelah awm pawiteh Cathut ni bangtelah hoi maw talaivan lawk a ceng han vaw.
By no means: for then how shall God judge the world?
7 Hatei, kaie laithoenae lahoi Cathut lawkkatang ni a bawilennae hoe pung sak pawiteh, kai heh tamikayon buet touh lah bangkongmaw lawkceng e lah ka o rah vaw.
For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie to his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?
8 Hnokahawi a tâco nahanlah hno kahawihoehe sak awh han, telah tet thai mahoeh maw. Tami tangawn ni hottelah maimouh ni dei awh ati awh teh, maimouh dudam lahoi a dei awh. Ahnimae yonphukhangnae teh a kamcu doeh.
And not [rather] (as we are slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.
9 Hottelah pawiteh, bangtelah han maw. Maimouh teh hoe hawi awh maw. Hoe hawi awh hoeh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, Judahnaw hoi Griknaw hai yon rahim vah ao tie yo kamnue sak toe.
What then? are we better [than they]? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;
10 Cakathoung dawk thut e patetlah tamikalan awmhoeh, buet touh boehai awmhoeh.
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
11 Ka thai panuek e awmhoeh. Cathut ka tawng e awmhoeh.
There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh God.
12 Tami pueng lam a phen awh teh, abuemlahoi cungkeihoeh lah ao awh toe. Hnokahawi ka sak e apihai awmhoeh, buet touh boehai awmhoeh.
They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
13 Ahnimae a lawkron teh kamawng e tangkom lah ao. Ahnimouh ni a lai hoi laithoe a dei awh. A pahni dawk hrunthoe sue ao.
Their throat [is] an open sepulcher; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps [is] under their lips:
14 Ahnimae apâhni teh lawkthoeumkha hoi akawi.
Whose mouth [is] full of cursing and bitterness.
15 Ahnimae khok teh tami thei hane koe lah a hue a rang awh.
Their feet [are] swift to shed blood.
16 Ahnimae lamthung dawk kamkonae hoi roedengnae ao teh,
Destruction and misery [are] in their ways:
17 Ahnimouh ni roumnae lam panuek awh hoeh.
And the way of peace have they not known.
18 Ahnimae mit dawk Cathut takinae tawn awh hoeh.
There is no fear of God before their eyes.
19 Kâlawk ni a dei e pueng teh kâlawk thung kaawmnaw hanelah doeh tie panue awh. Hottelah ao dawkvah, talaivan pueng teh lawk kam touh boehai dei thai laipalah, Cathut hmalah ka yon e lah ao awh.
Now we know that whatever things the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
20 Hatdawkvah, kâlawk tarawinae lahoi apihai Cathut hmalah tamikalan lah awm thai hoeh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, kâlawk teh yon ka panueksakkung lah doeh ao.
Therefore by the deeds of the law, there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law [is] the knowledge of sin.
21 Atuteh kâlawk hoi profet lawknaw ni a kampangkhai e Cathut lannae teh, kâlawk laipalah a kamnue toe.
But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being testified by the law and the prophets;
22 Cathut lannae teh Jisuh Khrih kayuemnaw pueng e lathueng vah a pha. Hatdawkvah, kapeknae khoeroe awmhoeh.
Even the righteousness of God, [which is] by faith of Jesus Christ to all, and upon all them that believe; for there is no difference:
23 Bangkongtetpawiteh, tami pueng teh a yon awh dawkvah Cathut bawilennae hoi kâhla awh toe.
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Ahnimouh teh Cathut lungmanae dawk Khrih Jisuh thung ratangnae lahoi aphu poe laipalah na lan toe telah khoe e lah o toe.
Being justified freely by his grace, through the redemption that is in Jesus Christ:
25 Cathut ni ama lannae a kamnue sak nahanelah Khrih hah a rawi teh, yuemnae hanlah Khrih thipaling teh thuengnae lah ao sak. Phunlouk lahoi dei pawiteh, Cathut ni a lungsawnae lahoi kaloum tangcoung e yonnae naw hah pâkuem laipalah ao.
Whom God hath set forth [to be] a propitiation, through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 Hatdawkvah, atuteh amae lannae hah kamnue sak hane hoi Cathut ama roeroe alan teh, Jisuh ka yuem e taminaw hai alansak.
To declare, [I say], at this time his righteousness: that he may be just, and the justifier of him who believeth in Jesus.
27 Hat pawiteh, kâoupkhai kawi na mouh ao va. Hot teh pahnawt lah ao toe. Bang phung hoi mouh pahnawt lah ao va. Tawksaknae hoi maw. Na hoeh. Yuemnae lahoi pahnawt lah ao.
Where [is] boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? No; but by the law of faith.
28 Bangkongtetpawiteh, tami teh kâlawk tarawinae lahoi laipalah yuemnae lahoi tamikalan lah na khoe toe tie lah pouk awh.
Therefore we conclude, that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
29 Nahoeh pawiteh, Cathut teh Judahnaw hane Cathut dueng na maw. Jentelnaw e Cathut lahai awmhoeh namaw. A o. Jentelnaw e Cathut lahai ao.
[Is he] the God of the Jews only? [is he] not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
30 Yuemnae lahoi vuensom ka a e tami teh na lan toe telah khoe e lah ao teh, vuensom ka a hoeh naw hai yuemnae lahoi na lan toe telah ka khoe e Cathut teh buet touh duengdoeh.
Seeing [it is] one God who will justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
31 Hat pawiteh, maimouh ni yuemnae lahoi kâlawk teh pahnawt awh namaw. Khoeroe pahnawt awh hoeh. Kâlawk hah hoe caksak awh.
Do we then make void the law through faith? By no means: but we establish the law.
