1 Hathnukkhu, kalvantami buet touh, kâtawnnae kalenpoung ka tawn e kalvan hoi a tho e hah ka hmu. A raeng ni talai pueng pheng a tue.
After these things, I saw another messenger, coming down out of heaven, —having great authority; and, the earth, was illumined with his glory.
2 Athakaawmpounge lawk hoi a hram teh, Babilon khopui a rawp toe, a rawp toe. Kahraituilinaw ni onae, tava kathoutnaw onae kho, kakhin niteh panuettho e moithangnaw pueng ni kamtumnae kho lah ao toe.
And he cried out, with a mighty voice, saying—Fallen! fallen! is Babylon the Great, and hath become a habitation of demons, and a prison of every impure spirit, and a prison of every impure and hated bird;
3 Bangkongtetpawiteh miphun pueng ni ahnie kamsoumhoehe napui tongpa yonnae ka sak e hoi kâkuen e lungkhueknae misur yamu teh a nei awh toe. Talai e siangpahrangnaw nihai ahni hoi kamsoumhoehe napui tongpa yonnae a sak awh teh, talai hnopai kayawtnaw nihai ahnie kamsoumhoehe napui tongpa yonnae dawk a phunepnae lahoi a tawnta awh a ti.
Because, by reason [of the wine] of the wrath of her lewdness, have all the nations fallen, and, the kings of the earth, with her, did commit lewdness, and, the merchants of the earth, by reason of the power of her wantonness, waxed rich.
4 Hahoi, kalvan hoi lawk buet touh bout ka thai e teh, ka taminaw tâcawt awh haw! Ahnimouh thung hoi tâcawt awh. Ahnie kamsoumhoehe napui tongpa yonnae dawk bawk awh hanh. Ahni ni a khang hane runae buet touh boehai na khang van hoeh nahanlah ahni koehoi tâcawt awh.
And I heard another voice out of heaven, saying—Come forth, my people, out of her, —that ye may have no fellowship with her sins, and, of her plagues, that ye may not receive;
5 Bangkongtetpawiteh ahnie yonnae teh kalvan totouh a pha teh kahawihoehe a sak e naw hai Cathut ni pahnim pouh hoeh.
because her sins were joined together as far as heaven, and God hath remembered her unrighteous deeds.
6 Ahnimouh ni na poe e patetlah ahni hai bout poe awh. A sak e hno dawk let hni touh hoi pathung awh. A poe e manang dawk hoi ama hanelah let hni touh poe awh.
Render ye unto her, as, she also, rendered, and double [the] double, according to her works, —in the cup wherein she mixed, mix, unto her, double, —
7 Lentoenae hoi tawntanae patetlah amahoima a kâpoe e yit touh rektapnae hoi lungmathoenae khang sak awh. Bangkongtetpawiteh ahni ni kai teh siangpahrangnu doeh, lahmai nahoeh. Lungmathoenae hai nâtuek hai ka khang boi mahoeh telah amae lung thung vah ati dawk doeh.
As much as she glorified herself, and waxed wanton, so much give, unto her, torment and grief: —because, in her heart, she saith—I sit a Queen, and, widow, am I not, and, grief, in nowise shall I see!
8 Hatdawkvah a khang hane runae teh duenae, lungmathoenae, hoi takangnae teh hnin touh dawkvah, ahni van tâcawt vaiteh, ahni teh hmai hoi pou a kak han. Bangkongtetpawiteh ahni lawk ka ceng e Cathut teh thaonae hoi a kuep.
Therefore, in one day, shall have come her plagues, —death and grief and famine; and, with fire, shall she be burned up; —because, mighty, is the [Lord] God who hath judged her.
9 Ahni hoi ka kamsoumhoehe napui tongpa yonnae ka sak awh e talai siangpahrangnaw ni vah, hmaikaknae hmaikhu a hmu awh toteh a lungtabue a ratup laihoi a khuika awh.
And they shall weep and wail over her—shall the kings of the earth who, with her, committed lewdness and waxed wanton, —as soon as they see the smoke of her burning, —
10 Ahni ni a khang e rektapnae hah a taki awh teh, ahlanae koe a kangdue awh teh, Babilon khopui kho kalenpounge hoi a tha kaawm poung e, lungmathoe hanelah, lungmathoe hanelah na o bo vaw, Bangkongtetpawiteh nange lawkcengnae teh dongdengca dawk a pha bo vaw a titeh a khuika awh.
afar off, standing, because of their fear of her torment, saying—Alas! alas! the great city! Babylon, the mighty city! That, in one hour, hath come thy judgment.
11 Talai e hno kayawtnaw hai amamae hnonaw hah ka ran hane ao hoeh toung dawkvah lungmathoe laihoi a khuika awh han.
And, the merchants of the earth, weep and grieve over her, because, their cargo, no one, buyeth any more:
12 Ahnimae hnopainaw teh, sui, ngun, talung phu kaawm, pale, paling, loukloukkaang, hnipaling, thing hmuitui, kasaino, thing aphu kaawm hoi sak e hnopai a buem lah, rahum, sum, talung pangaw hoi sak e hno aphunphun,
cargo of gold, and silver, and precious stone, and pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and every article of ivory, and every article of wood most precious, and of copper, and of iron, and of marble,
13 Nakzik, musala, hmuitui, murah hmuitui, frankinsen hmuitui, Yamu, satui, catun, cai, maito, pâna, tu, marang, rangleng, san hoi taminaw hah doeh.
and cinnamon, and spice, and incense, and unguent, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and cattle, and sheep, and [cargo] of horses, and of chariots, and of bodies, and lives of men.
14 Nang ni na nôe poung e a pawhiknaw hai a kahma toe. Na thâwnae hoi na meihawinae hnonaw hai a kahma toe. Hote hnonaw hah nâtuek hai bout hmawt mahoeh toe.
And, the fruit of the coveting of thy soul, hath departed from thee, and, all things rich and bright, have perished from thee; and, no more, in anywise, for them, shall they seek.
15 Nang koehoi ka tawnta e hno kâyawt e naw ni a khang e rektapnae hah a taki awh teh, ahlanae koe kangdue laihoi a khuika awh teh,
The merchants of these things, who were enriched by her, afar off, shall stand, because of their fear of her torment, weeping, and grieving,
16 La muen hni paling ka kho ka hnat niteh sui hoi talung aphu kaawm e pale hoi ouk ka kamthoup e khopui nang teh lungmathoe hanlah ao, lungmathoe hanlah ao.
as they say—Alas! alas! the great city! She that was arrayed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stone, and pearl, —
17 Bangkongtetpawiteh dongdengca dawk hnopai abuemlah be a kahma tangngak toe ati awh han. Long ka ring e bawinaw, kahlong ka cet e naw, long dawk thaw katawknaw, tuipui dawk kaawm e naw pueng nihai ahlanae koe a kangdue awh teh,
That, in one hour, hath been laid waste, such great wealth as this! And, every pilot, and every passenger, and mariners, and as many as, by the sea, carry on traffic, afar off did stand,
18 Hmaikaknae hmaikhu a hmu awh navah a khuika awh teh, hete khopui patetlah bangpatetlae khopui maw kaawm ati awh.
and they cried out, seeing the smoke of her burning, saying—What city is like unto the great city?
19 A lû dawk vaiphu a kâphuen awh vaiteh, lungmathoe laihoi khuikap awh vaiteh, aphu kaawm poung e hnopainaw yo e lahoi tuipui dawk kaawm e longnaw ka tawn e naw pueng ka bawi tangreng sak e khopui, nang teh dongdengca dawk khoeroe raphoe lah na o toe. Lung mathoe hanlah ao lungmathoe hanlah ao telah hramki laihoi a dei awh.
And they cast dust upon their heads, and cried out, weeping and grieving, saying—Alas! alas! the great city! Whereby were made rich all that had ships in the sea, by reason of her costliness, —that, in one hour, she hath been laid waste!
20 Kalvan hoi tamikathoungnaw, Gunceinaw, profetnaw, hote khopui ka rawk e kecu dawk na konawm awh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, Cathut ni nangmouh na kampangkhai teh, hote khopui hah lawk a ceng toe tie ka thai.
Be glad over her, thou heaven! And ye saints, and ye apostles, and ye prophets! For that God hath exacted your vindication from her.
21 Hathnukkhu a thakaawmpounge kalvantami buet touh ni kalenpounge talungsum patetlah e talung buet touh a tawm teh tuipui thung a tâkhawng teh., het patetlah Babilon khopui hai tâkhawng vaiteh nâtuek hai bout hmawt mahoeh toe.
And one mighty messenger lifted a stone, as it were a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying—Thus, with main force, shall be cast down, Babylon the great city, —and in nowise be found any more;
22 A thung kaawm e ratoung ka kueng thai e naw hoi vovit ka ueng thainaw, mongka ka ueng thainaw ni meng a ueng e lawk hah nâtuek hai bout thai awh mahoeh toe. A thung vah thawtawkkung ao hoeh han toung dawkvah cakang kuen e pawlawk hah thai a mahoeh toe.
And sound of harp-singers, and musicians, and flute-players, and trumpeters, —in nowise be heard in thee any more; and any artisan [of any art], —in nowise be found in thee any more; and sound of millstone, —in nowise be found in thee any more;
23 A thung vah hmaiang awm mahoeh toe. Thoundoun tangla yu paluennae awm mahoeh toe. Talai e kaawm hnopai kayawtnaw a tha kaawm poung lah a la o teh miphun pueng sueânnae hoiyah a dumyen awh toe telah kalvantami ni a ti.
And light of lamp, —in nowise shine in thee any more; and voice of bridegroom and bride, —in nowise be heard in thee any more; because, thy merchants, were the great ones of the earth, because, with thy sorcery, were all the nations deceived:
24 Profetnaw, tami kathoungnaw hoi talai van a thei awh e tami pueng e thi hai hote khopui dawk hmu e lah ao a ti.
And, in her, blood of prophets and saints, was found, —and of all who had been slain upon the earth.
