And I saw, out of the sea, a wild-beast coming up; having ten horns, and seven heads, and, upon his horns, ten diadems, and, upon his head, names of blasphemy.
2 Kai ni ka hmu e hote sarang teh kaisi hoi a kâvan. Ahnie a khok teh tavom khok patetlah ao teh a kâko teh sendek kâko patetlah ao. Khorui ni a mae bahu, amae bawitungkhung hoi amae kâtawnnae hah ahni koe a poe.
And, the beast which I saw, was like unto a leopard; and, his feet, as of a bear, and, his mouth, as the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave unto him his power, and his throne, and great authority.
3 Hote sarang e lû buet touh teh kadout lah thei tangcoung e patetlah ao ei duekhai kawi e hmâ hah yout a kahma. Hat toteh, talaivan pueng ni a kângairu awh teh hote sarang hnuk a kâbang awh.
And [I saw] one of his heads, showing that it had been slain unto death, and, the stroke of his death, was healed. And the whole earth marveled after the wild-beast,
4 Hothloilah khorui ni sarang hah kâtawnnae a poe dawkvah ahnimouh ni khorui hah a bawk awh. Ahnimouh ni, apimouh sarang hoi ka kâvan vah, apinimaw sarang hah ka tuk thai han vai titeh sarang hai a bawk awh.
and did homage unto the dragon, because he gave his authority unto the wild-beast; and they did homage unto the wild-beast, saying—Who is like unto the wild-beast? and Who can make war with him?
5 Hote sarang teh lawk dei thainae a tawn dawkvah Cathut dudamnae lawk dei thainae a tawn teh thapa yung 42 totouh kâtawnnae a hmu.
And there was given unto him, a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and it was given unto him to act, forty and two months.
6 Hat toteh, Cathut dudamnae lawk a dei teh, Bawipa e min hai thoseh, Bawipa e lukkareiim hai thoseh, kalvan kaawm e naw hai thoseh dudamnae lawk a dei.
And he opened his mouth for blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tent, —them, who, in heaven were tabernacling.
7 Ahni ni tami kathoungnaw hah taran a tuk teh tânae a hmu dawkvah miphunnaw, lawk cawngca, kho tangkuem e taminaw lathueng kâtawnnae hai a hmu.
[And it was given unto him, to make war with the saints, and to overcome them; ] and there was given him, authority against every tribe and people and tongue and nation.
8 Thei lah kaawm e tuca e hringnae cauk dawk talaivan kamtawng hoi min thut lah kaawm hoeh e talai taminaw pueng ni hote sarang hah a bawk awh han.
And all they who are dwelling upon the earth will do homage unto him, —[every one] whose name is not written in the scroll of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
9 Hnâ ka tawn e tami ni thai naseh.
If anyone hath an ear: let him hear.
10 Ayânaw kaman niteh ka hrawi e tami teh ama hai man vaiteh hrawi la o han. Tahloi hoi tami ka thet e hai tahloi hoi thei lah ao han. Hi tueng vah tami kathoungnaw e yuemnae hoi khangnae ao.
If anyone [carrieth] into captivity, into captivity, he goeth away. If anyone, with a sword, doth slay, he must, with a sword, be slain. Here, is the endurance and the faith of the saints.
11 Hathnukkhu talai thung hoi ka tâcawt e alouke sarang buet touh hah ka hmu. Ahni ni tuca e ki hoi kâvan e ki kahni touh a tawn teh khorui patetlah lawk a dei.
And I saw another wild-beast, coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns, like unto a lamb, and began speaking as a dragon.
12 Hote sarang ni hmaloe e sarang e kâtawnnae patetlah a hmalah a hno teh talai hoi talai van kho ka sak e pueng ni duekhai kawi hmâ dawk hoi kahawi e ahmaloe e sarang hah a bawk sak.
And, all the authority of the first wild-beast, he useth before him; and causeth the earth, and them who, therein, are dwelling, that they shall do homage unto the first wild-beast, whose stroke of death, was healed.
13 Hothloilah kalenpounge kângairu mitnoutnaw hah a sak teh taminaw e hmaitung vah kalvan hoi hmai patenghai talai van a bo sak awh.
And he doeth great signs, so that, even fire, he causeth to be coming down unto the earth before men;
14 Ahni ni ahmaloe e sarang hmalah sak thainae a tawn e mitnoutnaw lahoi talai van kho ka sak e tami pueng a dum teh tahloi hoi hmâ a ca ei, bout kahring e sarang e meikaphawk sak hanelah, talai van kho ka sak e taminaw hah a patoun.
and he deceiveth them who are dwelling upon the earth, by reason of the signs which it was given him to do before the wild-beast, —saying unto them who are dwelling upon the earth, that they should make an image unto the wild-beast who hath the stroke of the sword, and yet did live.
15 Hahoi sarang meikaphawk teh lawk dei thai nahane hoi sarang meikaphawk ka bawk hoeh e tami pueng thei sak hanelah hote sarang e meikaphawk hah hring sak thainae kâ a tawn.
And it was given unto it, to give spirit unto the image of the wild-beast, in order that the image of the wild-beast should both speak and should cause that, as many as should not do homage unto the image of the wild-beast, should be slain.
16 Hothloilah kalen nakunghai, kathoeng nakunghai, ka bawi nakunghai, kamathoe nakunghai, kahlout nakunghai, san nakunghai, tami pueng aranglae kut dawk hoehpawiteh tampa dawk mitnoutnae tacik a kin sak teh,
And he causeth all—the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the bond, —that they should give unto them a mark, upon their right hand or upon their forehead;
17 sarang e min na hoehpawiteh, hote min nambat ka tawn hoeh e tami pueng, apihai yawt thai hoeh, ran thai hoeh nahanlah a sak.
[and] that no one should be able to buy or to sell, save he that hath the mark, the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Hi tueng vah, lungang hanlah ao. A lungkaang e tami niteh sarang e nambat hah to naseh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, tami buet touh e nambat lah a o, 666 lahai ao.
Here, is, wisdom: he that hath understanding, let him count the number of the beast, for it is, the number of a man; and, his number, is 666.
