< Sam 94 >

1 Kasakkung: Panuekhoeh Oe BAWIPA Cathut, moipathungnae katawnkung, Oe Cathut moipathungnae katawnkung, ang haw.
O GOD of avenging—Yahweh, GOD of avenging, shine forth:
2 Talai taminaw lawkcengkung, thaw haw, ka kâoupnaw hah moipathung haw.
Lift up thyself, O judge of the earth, Render a recompense unto the proud.
3 Oe BAWIPA, tamikathoutnaw teh nâtotouh ne, nâtotouh ne a lunghawi awh han vai.
How long shall the lawless, O Yahweh, How long shall the lawless exult?
4 A ngai patetlah lawk a dei awh teh, a lawk a hram awh teh, nâtotouh ne a kâoup awh han vai.
They pour forth [words], they speak arrogantly, All the workers of iniquity, do boast:
5 Oe BAWIPA, na taminaw hah a pacekpahlek awh teh, nange râw hah a rektap awh.
Thy people, O Yahweh, they will crush, And, thine inheritance, tread down;
6 Lahmainu hoi imyinnaw hah a thei awh teh, na pa kaawm hoeh e naw hah ouk a thei awh.
The widow and sojourner, they will slay, And, the fatherless, murder.
7 BAWIPA ni hmawt mahoeh, Jakop Cathut ni hai panuek mahoeh ati awh.
Yet have they said—Yah, doth not see, The God of Jacob, doth not understand.
8 Maya thung dawk e tamipathunaw, panuek awh haw, Nâtuek maw na lungang awh han vai.
Understand, ye brutish among the people, And, ye dullards, when will ye show discretion?
9 Thainae hnâ kasakkung ni thai mahoeh ou. Mit kasakkung ni hmawt mahoeh ou.
He that planteth the ear, shall he not hear? Or, that fashioneth the eye, shall he not have power to see?
10 Miphunnaw kacangkhaikung hoi panuenae kacangkhaikung ni panuek mahoeh ou.
He that correcteth nations, shall he not reprove? He that teacheth man knowledge!
11 BAWIPA ni taminaw e pouknae banghai bang hoeh e hah a panue.
Yahweh, knoweth the plans of men, That, they, are a breath!
How happy the man whom thou correctest, O Yah! And whom, out of thy law, thou instructest!
13 Tamikathout hanelah tangkom tai hoehroukrak, runae dawk hoi na kâhat sak thai mahoeh.
That thou mayest give him rest from the days of misfortune, Until there be digged—for the lawless one—a pit.
14 Bangkongtetpawiteh, BAWIPA ni a taminaw hah hnoun mahoeh, a râw takhoe mahoeh.
For Yahweh, will not abandon, his people, And, his inheritance, will he not forsake;
For, unto righteousness, shall the judicial sentence return, Then shall follow it—all the upright in heart.
16 Yonnae kasaknaw taran hanelah apimouh kai hanlah ka thaw han. Payonnae kasaknaw taran hanelah apimaw kai yueng lah kangdout han.
Who will rise up for me, against the evil-doers? Who will make a stand for me, against the workers of iniquity?
17 BAWIPA teh kabawmkung lah awm hoeh pawiteh, duem onae koe ka hringnae yout kahmat han doeh toe.
If, Yahweh, had not been a help to me, Soon had sunk into silence—my soul!
If I say, My foot, hath slipped, Thy lovingkindness, O Yahweh, supporteth me.
In the multitude of my cares within me, Thy consolations, delight my soul.
20 Payonnae bawitungkhung, hawihoehnae phung hai a sak awh e teh, nang hoi kâhuiko thai han vaimoe.
Shall the throne that inflicteth ruin, have fellowship with thee, That frameth oppression, by statute?
21 Ayânaw hringnae taranlahoi a kâhmo teh, yonnae ka tawn hoeh naw hah yon a pen awh.
They make an attack on the life of the righteous one, —And, innocent blood, they condemn.
22 Hatei, BAWIPA teh ka kânguenae doeh. Ka Cathut teh ka lungsong doeh.
But, Yahweh, hath become for me a high tower, And my God, my rock of refuge.
Thus hath he brought back on them their iniquity, And, by their own wickedness, will he destroy them, Destroy them, will Yahweh our God.
