< Sam 92 >

1 Kasakkung: panuekhoeh Bawipa koe lunghawilawk dei e heh ahawi. Oe a Lathueng Poung Cathut, na min pholen teh la sak e heh ahawi tangngak.
Yahweh, it is good for people to thank you and to sing to praise you [MTY] who are greater than any other god.
2 Rui hra touh thueng e ratoung hoi tamawi hoi lawk phunkuep kacai e tumkhawng e hoi,
It is good to proclaim every morning that you faithfully love us, and each night [to sing songs that] declare that you always do what you have promised to do,
3 a pahrennae hoi yuemkamcunae naw teh, amom karoitawi tangmin karoitawi pâpho hanelah ahawi tangngak.
accompanied by [musicians playing] harps that have ten strings, and by the sounds made by a lyre.
4 Oe BAWIPA, na hnosak e naw ni banghloimaw lung na hawi sak. na kutsaknaw dawk lunghawi hoi la ka sak han.
Yahweh, you have caused me to be glad; I sing joyfully because of what you [SYN] have done.
5 Oe BAWIPA na tawk e hah banghloimaw a len. Na pouknae naw teh adung tangngak.
Yahweh, the things that you do are great! But it is difficult for us to understand [all] that you think.
6 Tamipathu ni teh panuek hoeh, thaipanuek hoeh.
There are things [that you do] that foolish people cannot know about, things that stupid people cannot understand.
7 Tamikathoutnaw teh phokahring patetlah a cawn awh teh, ka payonnaw pueng a tawnta awh toteh, a yungyoe a rawk awh nahanelah, letlang a coung.
They do not understand that although the number of wicked [people] increases [like blades of] grass do [SIM], and they prosper, they will be completely destroyed.
8 Hatei, BAWIPA nang teh a rasangnae koe na o yungyoe.
But Yahweh, you [will] exalted/be honored/rule) forever.
9 Oe BAWIPA, na tarannaw heh khenhaw! Bangkongtetpawiteh, khenhaw! na tarannaw koung a kahma han. Payonnae ka sak e naw pueng teh, koung kayei lah ao han.
Yahweh, your enemies will [certainly] die, and those who do wicked things will be defeated/scattered.
10 Hatei, ka ki heh sakrak e ki patetlah na saw sak teh, satui katha hoi awi lah ka o.
But you have caused me to be as strong [MTY] as [SIM] a wild ox; you have caused me to be very joyful [MTY].
11 Ka tarannaw koe phat seh ka tie hah ka mit ni a hmu toe. Na ka taran e tamikathout koe ka pouk e a kuep teh, ka hnâ ni a thai.
I [SYN] have seen you defeat my enemies; d I have heard those evil men wail/scream while they were being slaughtered.
12 Tamikalan teh samtue patetlah kâhuen vaiteh, Lebanon mon e Sidar thing patetlah a roung han.
But righteous [people] will prosper like [SIM] palm trees that grow well, or like [SIM] cedar [trees] that grow in Lebanon.
13 BAWIPA im dawk ung e naw teh, Cathut thongma dawk a kâhuet awh han.
[They are like the trees] that grow near the temple of Yahweh [in Jerusalem], those trees that are close to the courtyard of the temple of our God.
14 A matawng totouh a pawhik katha lah tâcawt vaiteh, pou a kâhuet awh han.
[Even] when righteous people become old, they do many things [IDM] [that please God]. They remain strong and full of energy, [like trees that] [MET] remain full of sap.
15 BAWIPA teh a lan tie kamnue saknae lah, ama teh lungsong lah ao teh, ama dawk lanhoehnae banghai awm hoeh.
That shows that Yahweh is just; he is [like a huge] rock [under which I am safe/protected], and he never does anything that is wicked/wrong.
