1 Kasakkung: Ethan BAWIPA lungmanae teh la hoi pou ka sak han. Yuemkamcu lah na onae teh se pueng dawk ka pahni ni a pholen han.
Maschil of Ethan the Ezrahite. I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.
2 Lungmanae teh a kangning. Yuemkamcu lah na onae teh kalvan roeroe vah, acak telah ka dei toe.
For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.
3 Ka rawi e koevah lawk ka kam toe. Ka san Devit koe thoe ka bo toe.
I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,
4 Na catoun hah pou ka caksak han. Na bawitungkhung hah se pueng dawk kangdue sak han. (Selah)
Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. (Selah)
5 Oe BAWIPA, kalvannaw ni kângairu lah na onae hah a pholen awh teh, tamikathoungnaw kamkhuengnae koe yuemkamcu lah na onae hai, a pholen awh han.
And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.
6 Bangkongtetpawiteh, kalvan vah BAWIPA hoi bangnue thai e apimouh kaawm. Athakaawmnaw thung dawk BAWIPA patet e ao han na ou.
For who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? [who] among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD?
7 Tamikathoungnaw kamkhuengnae koe Cathut teh, lentoe poung lahoi taki hanelah ao. A tengpam e tami pueng ni a bari awh hanelah ao.
God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all [them that are] about him.
8 Oe, kalvan ransabawi Cathut BAWIPA, nang patetlah athakaawm ao nama, Oe, BAWIPA, yuemkamcu lah na onae ni koung na kalup.
O LORD God of hosts, who [is] a strong LORD like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?
9 Talîpui tuicapa ka thaw e hai na uk teh, tuicapa a thaw teh na roum sak.
Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.
10 Tami ni taran a thei e patetlah, Rahab hah na raphoe teh, koung na kayei. Na taran hah na kut thaonae hoi koung na pâlei.
Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm.
11 Kalvannaw hah nange lah ao teh, talai hai nange doeh. Talaivan hoi a thung kaawm e pueng hah na kangdue sak toe.
The heavens [are] thine, the earth also [is] thine: [as for] the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.
12 Atung aka heh na sak e lah ao teh, Tabor hoi Hermon teh na min dawk a konawm.
The north and the south thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name.
13 Athakaawme kutbuembue hah na tawn. Na kut heh a tha a sai teh aranglae kut teh hoe a rasang.
Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, [and] high is thy right hand.
14 Lannae hoi kângingnae teh, na bawitungkhung kamtuenae lah ao teh, lungmanae hoi lawkkatang teh na hmalah a cei.
Justice and judgment [are] the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.
15 Lunghawinae kamthang ka thai e teh, tami yawkahawi e doeh. Oe BAWIPA, ahnimouh teh na minhmai angnae dawk kho a sak awh.
Blessed [is] the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance.
16 Na min dawkvah hnintangkuem a lunghawi awh teh, na lannae dawkvah tawm lah ao awh.
In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.
17 Bangkongtetpawiteh, nang teh ka sungren e a thaonae lah na o.
For thou [art] the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.
18 Bangkongtetpawiteh, BAWIPA teh maimae bahling lah ao teh, Isarelnaw e Kathoung E, maimae siangpahrang lah ao.
For the LORD [is] our defence; and the Holy One of Israel [is] our king.
19 Hottelah, na tamikathoung koe kamnuenae lahoi lawk na dei teh, athakaawme hah kabawp teh, tamimaya thung hoi rawi e teh ka pholen.
Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon [one that is] mighty; I have exalted [one] chosen out of the people.
20 Ka san Devit hah ka hmu teh, kathounge satui hoi ka awi toe.
I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:
21 Ka kut hoi kacaklah ka kuet vaiteh, ka kutbuembue ni a tha ao sak han.
With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.
22 Taran ni na dum thai mahoeh, tami ni patawnae na poe thai mahoeh.
The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
23 Ama ka tarannaw hah a hmalah ka parawp vaiteh, ama kahmuhmanaw hah ka hem han.
And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.
24 Ama koe yuemkamcu lah ka onae hoi, lungmanae teh pou ao han. Ka min kecu dawk a ki hah tawm lah ao han.
But my faithfulness and my mercy [shall be] with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.
25 A kut hai talîpui dawk ka ta vaiteh, aranglae kut hah palangpui dawk ka ta han.
I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.
26 Ama ni kai koe vah, nang teh apa ka Cathut, ka rungngangnae lungsongpui lah na o telah a hram han.
He shall cry unto me, Thou [art] my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
27 Ama teh ka camin lah ka coung sak vaiteh, talai siangpahrang ka rasang poung lah ka coung sak han.
Also I will make him [my] firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.
28 Ka lungmanae hoi pou ka ring vaiteh, ahni koe ka lawkkam teh kacaklah a kangdue han.
My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.
29 A catoun hai yungyoe ka kangning sak vaiteh, a bawitungkhung hai kalvan a kangning roukrak ka kangning sak han.
His seed also will I make [to endure] for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
30 A canaw ni ka kâlawk a kamlang takhai awh teh, ka lawkcengnae patetlah awm laipalah,
If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;
31 ka phunglam a tapoe awh teh, kaie kâpoelawknaw tarawi awh hoeh pawiteh,
If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;
32 Kâtapoenae dawk sumtaboung hoi ka rek vaiteh, payonnae dawk ka hem awh han.
Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.
33 Hatei, ka lungmanae teh ahni koehoi koung ka lat pouh mahoeh. Yuemkamcu lah ka onae hah ayawmyin lah ao hane ka pasoung hoeh.
Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.
34 Ka lawkkam ka raphoe mahoeh, ka pahni dawk hoi ka tâcawt e lawk heh ka thung mahoeh toe.
My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
35 Vai touh kaie thoungnae hoi thoe ka bo teh, Devit koe laithoe ka dei mahoeh.
Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.
36 A catoun hah a yungyoe a kangning vaiteh, a bawitungkhung teh ka hmalah, kanî patetlah a kangdue han.
His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.
37 Thapa patetlah a yungyoe hanelah caksak lah awm vaiteh, kalvan yuemkamcu panuekkhaikung patetlah ao han. (Selah)
It shall be established for ever as the moon, and [as] a faithful witness in heaven. (Selah)
38 Hatei, nang ni hnamthun takhai hoi na panuet teh, satui awi e dawkvah na lungkhuek.
But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.
39 Na san hoi lawkkamnae na raphoe teh, a bawilakhung talai dawk a bo teh banglah na ngai pouh hoeh.
Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned his crown [by casting it] to the ground.
40 Kalupnae tapangpueng na raphoe teh, na rapanim hah he na raphoe.
Thou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast brought his strong holds to ruin.
41 Lam dawk ka cet e pueng ni hno a la pouh awh teh, a tengpam e naw ni a pathoe awh.
All that pass by the way spoil him: he is a reproach to his neighbours.
42 A tarannaw e kut tha na o sak teh, a tarannaw pueng hah a lung na tho sak.
Thou hast set up the right hand of his adversaries; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.
43 Ka hran e tahloi hah na ban sak teh, tarantuknae koe na kabawm hoeh toe.
Thou hast also turned the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle.
44 A lentoenae hah na pout sak teh, a bawitungkhung hah talai dawk na tâkhawng pouh.
Thou hast made his glory to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground.
45 A nawsainae tueng na duem sak teh, yeirai hni hah na kâkhu sak.
The days of his youth hast thou shortened: thou hast covered him with shame. (Selah)
46 BAWIPA bangkong ngailawi na o han. Pou na kâhro han maw. Na lungkhueknae teh hmai patetlah pou a kaman han maw.
How long, LORD? wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy wrath burn like fire?
47 Ka tueng a duemnae hah na pahnim pouh hanh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, tami catounnaw hah cungkeihoeh lah na sak.
Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast thou made all men in vain?
48 Apipatet mouh duenae kâhmo laipalah ka hring thai. Phuen thaonae dawk hoi kârungngang thai e apimouh kaawm. (Sheol h7585)
What man [is he that] liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
49 BAWIPA, Devit koe thoe na bo e ahmaloe e lungpatawnae teh, nâne ao toung.
Lord, where [are] thy former lovingkindnesses, [which] thou swarest unto David in thy truth?
50 BAWIPA, na sannaw pathoe lah a onae pahnim hanh. Athakaawme tami moikapap ni pathoenae hah kai ni ka khang.
Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants; [how] I do bear in my bosom [the reproach of] all the mighty people;
51 Oe BAWIPA, na taran ni na pathoe teh, satui awi e a cei nah pueng koe a pathoe awh.
Wherewith thine enemies have reproached, O LORD; wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.
52 BAWIPA teh a yungyoe hoi a yungyoe pholen lah awm lawiseh. Amen hoi Amen.
Blessed [be] the LORD for evermore. Amen, and Amen.
