A Prayer of David. Incline Thine ear, O LORD, and answer me; for I am poor and needy.
2 ka hringnae heh na khetyawt teh, ka thoung e lah ka o. Ka Cathut lah na o. Nang kâuep e na san hah na rungngang haw.
Keep my soul, for I am godly; O Thou my God, save Thy servant that trusteth in Thee.
3 Oe BAWIPA, na pahren haw. Bangkongtetpawiteh, kanîloum totouh nang teh pou na kaw.
Be gracious unto me, O Lord; for unto Thee do I cry all the day.
4 Na san hringnae heh lunghawi sak haw. Bangkongtetpawiteh, Oe Bawipa, ka hringnae ni nang dueng doeh na khet.
Rejoice the soul of Thy servant; for unto Thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
5 Bangkongtetpawiteh, Bawipa, nang teh na hawi. Ngaithoum hanelah coungkacoe na kâcai teh, na ka kaw e pueng koe pahrennae moikapap na ka tawn e lah na o.
For Thou, Lord, art good, and ready to pardon, and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon Thee.
6 Oe BAWIPA, ka ratoumnae heh na thai pouh haw. Pahrennae ka hei e heh na thai pouh haw.
Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend unto the voice of my supplications.
7 Runae kâhmo navah na kaw han. Bangkongtetpawiteh, nang ni teh na pato han.
In the day of my trouble I call upon Thee; for Thou wilt answer me.
8 Oe BAWIPA, cathutnaw thung dawk nang hoi kâvan e awm hoeh. Na sak e patetlah ka sak thai e hai awm hoeh.
There is none like unto Thee among the gods, O Lord, and there are no works like Thine.
9 Oe Bawipa na sak e miphun pueng, na hmalah tho vaiteh na bawk awh vaiteh, na min a pholen awh han.
All nations whom Thou hast made shall come and prostrate themselves before Thee, O Lord; and they shall glorify Thy name.
10 Bangkongtetpawiteh, nang teh na lentoe teh, kângairuhno ouk na sak. Nang dueng doeh Cathut.
For Thou art great, and doest wondrous things; Thou art God alone.
11 Oe BAWIPA, na lam heh na cangkhai haw. Na lawkkatang dawk ka o han. Na min bari nahanelah lungthin buet touh lah na tawn sak haw.
Teach me, O LORD, Thy way, that I may walk in Thy truth; make one my heart to fear Thy name.
12 Oe Bawipa ka Cathut, ka lungthin abuemlahoi na pholen vaiteh, na min teh a yungyoe hoi ka tawmrasang han.
I will thank Thee, O Lord my God, with my whole heart; and I will glorify Thy name for evermore.
13 Bangkongtetpawiteh, kai dawk na lungmanae teh a len poung. Ka dungpoung e Sheol hoi ka muitha teh na rungngang toe. (Sheol h7585)
For great is Thy mercy toward me; and Thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest nether-world. (Sheol h7585)
14 Oe Cathut, tami kâoupnaw ni na taran teh, tamimathoutnaw ni ka hringnae a tawng awh, a hmalah nang hah na tat awh hoeh.
O God, the proud are risen up against me, and the company of violent men have sought after my soul, and have not set Thee before them.
15 Hatei, Oe BAWIPA, nang teh, lungmanae, lungpatawnae, lungsawnae, poukthainae, hoi lawkkatang hoi kakawi e Cathut doeh.
But Thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy and truth.
16 Kai koelah kamlang nateh na pahren haw. Na san koe thaonae na poe haw, na sannu capa heh na rungngang haw.
O turn unto me, and be gracious unto me; give Thy strength unto Thy servant, and save the son of Thy handmaid.
17 Hawinae hanlah mitnoutnae kamnuek sak haw. Na kahmawt ngaihoeh naw ni a hmu awh toteh, kayak awh naseh. BAWIPA nang ni na kabawp teh lung na pahawi.
Work in my behalf a sign for good; that they that hate me may see it, and be put to shame, because Thou, LORD, hast helped me, and comforted me.
