< Sam 75 >

1 Kathutkung: Asaph Oe Cathut, nang koe lunghawi lawk ka dei, lunghawi lawk ka dei. Bangkongtetpawiteh, na sak e kângairu hnonaw ni na min a hnainae a kamnue sak.
We give thanks to you; our God, we thank you. You are close to us, and we proclaim to others the wonderful things that you have done [for us].
2 Kâdawk e tueng a pha toteh, kânging lah lawk na ceng han.
[You have said], “I have appointed a time when I will judge people, and I will judge [everyone] fairly.
3 Talai hoi a thung kaawm e naw pueng raphoe lah ao teh, a khom hah kacaklah a ung. (Selah)
When the earth shakes and all the creatures on the earth tremble, I am the one who will (keep its foundations steady/prevent it from being destroyed).
4 Mithmaikhet e naw koevah, minhmai khen hanh awh. Tamikathoutnaw koe na ki hno hanh.
I say to people who (boast/talk proudly about themselves), ‘Stop bragging!’ and I say to wicked people, ‘Do not proudly [do things to] show how great you are [IDM]!
5 Na ki teh a lathueng lah saw sak hanh awh. Lahuen pata lahoi lawk dei hanh awh telah ka ti.
Do not be arrogant, and do not speak so boastfully!’”
6 Bangkongtetpawiteh, tawmnae teh kanîtho, kanîloum, akalah hoi tho hoeh.
The one who judges people does not come from the east or from the west, and he does not come from the desert.
7 Hateiteh, Cathut teh lawkcengkung doeh. Buet touh a rahnoum sak teh alouke a rasang sak.
God is the one who judges people; he says that some have sinned and must be punished, and that others have not done what is wrong.
8 Bangkongtetpawiteh, Cathut kut dawk manang ao teh, misurtui teh a paling. Koung kalawt hnukkhu a rabawk. A laheipadin totouh talai van e tamikayonnaw ni koung a nei awh han.
[It is as though] Yahweh holds a cup in his hand; it is filled with wine that [has spices] mixed in it [to cause those who drink it to become more drunk]; and when Yahweh pours it out, he will force all the wicked people to drink it; they will drink every drop of it, [which means that he will give them all the punishment that they deserve].
9 Hateiteh, Jakop Cathut teh, ka pholen han, a yungyoe ka pholen han.
But [as for me], I will never stop saying what the God whom Jacob [worshiped has done]; I will never quit singing to praise him.
10 Tamikayon e ki pueng teh, koung ka tâtueng han. Hateiteh, tamikalan e ki teh, tawm lah ao han.
He will destroy the power [IDM] of wicked people, but he will cause righteous people to become more powerful.
