< Sam 74 >
1 Kathutkung: Asaph Oe Cathut bangkongmaw na pahnawt vaw. Bangkongmaw na saring a pânae koe e na tuhunaw taranlahoi na lungkhueknae hmaikhu a pâyam rah bo vaw.
Maschil of Asaph. O God, why hast thou cast [us] off for ever? [why] doth thy anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture?
2 Kamkhueng e tamimaya, yampa na ran e, râw lah na pang e miphun, na ratang e naw heh pahnim hanh.
Remember thy congregation, [which] thou hast purchased of old: the rod of thy inheritance, [which] thou hast redeemed; this mount Zion, in which thou hast dwelt.
3 Raphoe tangcoung e hmuen koe tho haw. Hmuen kathoung dawk e hno pueng hah taran ni koung a raphoe toe.
Lift up thy feet to the perpetual desolations; [even] all [that] the enemy hath done wickedly in the sanctuary.
4 Na taminaw a kamkhuengnae hmuen koe, na tarannaw teh a hramki awh teh, mitnoutnaw hah a vo awh.
Thy enemies roar in the midst of thy congregations; they set up their ensigns [for] signs.
5 Ratu thing ka tâtueng hane patetlah, cakânaw teh a palik awh.
[A man] was famous according as he had lifted up axes upon the thick trees.
6 Dongdengca dawk bawkim hnonaw hah amamae cakâ, cakkinnaw hoi a raphoe awh.
But now they break down the carved work of it at once with axes and hammers.
7 Thoungnae hmuen hah hmai a sawi awh teh, na min onae hmuen hah a khin sak awh toe.
They have cast fire into thy sanctuary, they have defiled [by casting down] the dwelling-place of thy name to the ground.
8 Koung raphoe awh sei ati awh teh, ram thung e Cathut bawknae hmuen pueng hah hmai koung a sawi awh.
They said in their hearts, Let us destroy them together: they have burned up all the synagogues of God in the land.
9 Kaimouh teh mae mitnoutnae ka hmawt awh hoeh toe. Profet hai awm hoeh toe. Bangkong han nama aw, telah kapanuekkung kaimouh koe awm hoeh toe.
We see not our signs: [there is] no more any prophet: neither [is there] among us any that knoweth how long.
O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever?
11 Bangkongmaw na kut aranglae hah na dâw hoeh vaw. Bout dâw nateh, ahnimanaw hah koung raphoe haw.
Why withdrawest thou thy hand, even thy right hand? pluck [it] out of thy bosom.
12 Bangtelah tetpawiteh, Cathut teh ayan hoi talai taminaw koe rungngangnae kasakkung kaie Siangpahrang doeh.
For God [is] my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth.
13 Na thaonae lahoi talîpui hah na kapek teh, tui thung tuitamnaw e lû hah na khoe pouh.
Thou didst divide the sea by thy strength: thou didst break the heads of the dragons in the waters.
Thou didst break the head of leviathan in pieces, [and] didst give him [to be] food to the people inhabiting the wilderness.
15 Tuikhu hoi palangnaw hah na palang pouh teh, palangpuinaw hah na hak sak.
Thou didst cleave the fountain and the flood: thou didst dry up mighty rivers.
16 Khodai hoi karum hai nange doeh Kanî hoi angnae hah na sak toe.
The day [is] thine, the night also [is] thine: thou hast prepared the light and the sun.
17 Talai khori pueng hai thoseh, kompawi hoi kasik pueng hai thoseh na sak toe.
Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: thou hast made summer and winter.
Remember this, the enemy hath reproached, O LORD, and the foolish people have blasphemed thy name.
19 Oe, na bakhu hringnae heh sarang koe poe hanh. Ka mathoe e na taminaw e hringnae heh a yungyoe pahnim hanh.
O deliver not the soul of thy turtle dove to the multitude [of the wicked]: forget not the congregation of thy poor for ever.
20 Lawkkam hah bari haw. Bangkongtetpawiteh, talai a hmonae hmuennaw hah rektap lawpnae hoi akawi.
Have respect to the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.
21 Oe, repcoungroe e naw heh, kaya laihoi ban sak hanh. Mathoe hoi a reikathainaw ni na min pholen naseh.
O let not the oppressed return ashamed: let the poor and needy praise thy name.
Arise, O God, plead thy own cause: remember how the foolish man reproacheth thee daily.
Forget not the voice of thy enemies: the tumult of those that rise against thee increaseth continually.
